Realme 12x 5G receives BIS and several other certifications, launch seems imminent

It looks like Realme isn’t done with the Realme 12 series. The brand introduced the Realme 12 5G and the Realme 12+ 5G in India last week and now a new model in the series has surfaced online. The phone in question is the Realme 12x 5G and this has cleared multiple certifications, including BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), TUV, and EEC. Realme 12x 5G has also made an appearance on the Camera FV-5 and this revealed some key camera details.

Realme 12x 5G bags multiple certifications

  • Realme 12x 5G moniker has been confirmed through Bluetooth SIG certification. It bears the model number RMX3997. 
  • This also reveals the phone would come with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. 
  • The TUV Rheinland listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, reveals the handset would come with a 4890mAh battery and will have 15W (5V/3A) fast charging support.
  • The handset also received the Bureau of Indian Standards certification. This suggests the launch in India is also cards.
  • The phone has also acquired the EEC certification in Russia.
  • All these online appearances suggest the phone is set to debut globally very soon and we might see teasers in the coming days.

The Realme 12x has appeared on the Camera FV-5 certification and this reveals some camera details. The rear camera could include a 50MP sensor with a 28mm equivalent focal length with an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, there could be a 26mm focal length with an f/2.0 aperture.

Realme 12x 5G will arrive as a successor to the Realme 11x 5G, which launched last year. This came with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor and a 120Hz LCD display.
