Realme P4R has launched in India as the latest battery mammoth, housing an 8,000mAh cell. The smartphone also comes with 45W fast charging support, a large 6.8-inch HD+ display, and a 50MP AI camera. Realme P4R is part of the brand’s battery-focused P series, which was also the first to launch a 10,001mAh battery phone with the Realme P4 Power. The latest model sits below the Realme P4 Lite and has a starting price of Rs 18,999.
Realme P4R is priced at Rs 18,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in two more variants with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, and goes up to Rs 22,999. The handset is available in Titanium Glare, Silver Glare, and Lavender Glare colours.
| Variant | Price |
| 4GB + 128GB | Rs 18,999 |
| 6GB + 128GB | Rs 20,999 |
| 6GB + 256GB | Rs 22,999 |
Starting with the highlight, the battery. The Realme P4R packs a large 8,000mAh battery claimed to last for three days. This is a big claim, but it could be possible given the battery’s size and good optimisation. The handset gets 45W fast charging and reverse charging support as well. Although not the fastest charging speed, the battery size should make up for it. With this setup, the Realme P4R goes up against the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite, which has a 7,000mAh battery.
The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 14GB of Dynamic RAM and 256GB of storage. This chipset is designed for the budget segment, so the phone might not be suited for intensive tasks. Still, the virtual RAM should help with multitasking and everyday usage. Up front is a large 6.8-inch HD+ LCD screen with 1,200 nits peak brightness and 144Hz refresh rate. The HD+ resolution and LCD panel do seem inferior as most phones offer FHD+ and AMOLED, but the 144Hz refresh could help compensate with smoother scrolling and animations.
For optics, the smartphone gets a 50MP AI-powered rear camera and a 2MP front camera with Motion Photo support on both the front and rear cameras. Realme is also bringing a suite of AI tools, including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Ultra Clarity, AI Unblur, and AI Portrait Glow, aimed at improving image quality and simplifying photo editing.
The Realme P4R also comes with a 5,300mm² AirFlo VC cooling system, Military Grade durability certification, IP65-rated dust and water resistance, and an AI Pulse Light LED indicator on the back. On the software front, it runs Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, and will get 2 OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches.
At a starting price of Rs 18,999, the Realme P4R stands out for its large battery, smooth display, and overall balanced setup. Based on what it offers, the Realme P4R is clearly aimed at users who prioritise battery life over everything else. It could be a compelling option in the budget segment for those who need reliable battery life for outdoor activities or long commutes. So if battery life is a major concern, then yes, you can go for the Realme P4R.
