“Redmi 8 Pro FCC listing reveals quad rear cameras, fingerprint sensor, gradient colour, display notch, variants, MIUI 10 software, and connectivity features”
The Redmi 8 Pro smartphone may be in development, a new FCC listing has revealed. A Xiaomi smartphone with model number M1908C3JH has been spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. It is likely this handset is the Redmi 8 Pro considering the images as well as the specifications mentioned in the listing reveal it will be a budget device. This handset has quad rear camera setup as well as fingerprint sensor on the back, the images reveal. On the front, the notch still remains as do the bezels around the display. Lastly, the Redmi 8 Pro storage and RAM configurations have been revealed by the FCC listing.
Redmi 8 Pro will have a vertically-aligned camera setup with four sensors and a LED flash next to it on the back. We can see the Redmi logo, fingerprint sensor, and gradient colour scheme on the rear panel. The front panel has the familiar waterdrop notch to house the selfie sensor. Below the display is the Redmi logo once again. Lastly, the phone will have a volume rocker and power button on the right edge.
Unfortunately, we don’t have screen size and resolution details but the FCC listing confirms the Redmi 8 Pro will come in two RAM and storage configuration: 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. Just like its predecessor Redmi 7 series, this one is also going to boot MIUI 10and have connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C charging port.
Official teasers and leaks in the past have revealed the Redmi Note 8 series will have a centre-aligned quad camera setup on the back, while the leaked live images show the Redmi 8 will feature dual rear cameras. This leaves us with Redmi 8 Pro as the likely affordable smartphone with four rear camera sensors.
