Several recent reports have hinted at the existence of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, expected to launch as the successor to the Note 12 Turbo. However, the company has now officially confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be called Redmi Turbo 3 – and be part of a new Turbo lineup, which will go official in China this month. Here are some more details about the Redmi Turbo 3.
Redmi Turbo 3 moniker officially confirmed
Through Weibo, Redmi’s General Manager Wang Teng Thomas recently shared an image of the phone’s display, highlighting its slim bezels. He also announced that the Turbo 3 will be the inaugural device of the new Turbo series in the company’s ten-year plan.
The official has also confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 3 will be unveiled this month in China and will come equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset.
The Redmi Note series aims to set a benchmark for mid-range experiences, striving to make flagship experiences more accessible. Lastly, the Number series aims to offer high-quality entry-level phones, elevating the overall industry experience standards.
“The first product of the new series is named “Turbo 3″ and will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 series flagship core. As a top performer, it will lead the industry’s mid-range performance leap,” Thomas said in a statement.
Redmi Turbo 3 specifications
According to recent reports, the upcoming Redmi smartphone, previously known as the Note 13 Turbo but now called Redmi Turbo 3, is expected to boast a 1.5K resolution display. Additionally, the phone may feature screens from both TCL Huaxing and Tianma.
The upcoming Redmi device might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. As for its camera setup, it is rumoured to sport a 50MP IMX882 main camera along with a 20MP front camera for selfies. Moreover, the phone is likely to come with a sizable 5,000mAh battery and support 90W fast charging.
Following its launch in China in April, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 3 is anticipated to make its way to global markets under the name POCO F6. Sources suggest it could be priced at approximately Rs 40,000 in the Indian market.
