Vivo Y500 global launch appears closer as three variants receive Bluetooth certification

[highlights]

Vivo Y500 was launched in China last September.

Three variants of the phone have been listed globally.

The smartphone stands out for its massive 8,200mAh battery.

[/highlights]

Vivo appears to be preparing a wider international rollout of its Y500 smartphone. The device has now surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG certification database, revealing three separate global variants carrying the model numbers V2627, V2634, and V2635. Interestingly, all three models are listed under the Vivo Y500 branding, despite having different model numbers.

The certification itself does not reveal any hardware specifications beyond Bluetooth connectivity support, but it does indicate that Vivo is actively working on multiple versions of the handset for different markets. At the moment, it remains unclear why Vivo is preparing three separate variants of the Y500. The differences could be related to market-specific features.

Vivo Y500: what to expect

The development comes months after Vivo introduced the Y500 in China. While the company has yet to confirm plans for a global launch, certification activity often suggests that an announcement could be approaching. If Vivo follows its usual strategy, the global Y500 models could retain most of the specifications of the Chinese version. In that case, buyers can expect a feature-packed mid-range smartphone with a strong emphasis on battery life.

The Vivo Y500 launched in China with a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 chipset, which is a capable mid-range chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 15 with Vivo's OriginOS 15 out of the box.

One of the biggest highlights of the Y500 is its massive 8,200mAh battery. Vivo has used semi-solid-state battery technology to achieve the large capacity while maintaining a relatively slim 8.23mm profile. The battery supports 90W fast charging as well as reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank for other devices. Large batteries have become the norm now, with brands offering 7,000mAh as the standard. The Vivo Y500 should easily stand out with its 8,200mAh capacity.

On the camera front, the Y500 features a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. Vivo also includes its Aura Light system to improve portrait photography in low-light conditions. While the camera setup appears standard for the segment, Vivo's Aura Light system could offer a noticeable boost for portrait enthusiasts, a common feature in Vivo's mid-range lineup.

The Vivo Y500 could be particularly attractive if battery life is a top priority. The combination of a large AMOLED display, Dimensity 7300 chipset, high-capacity battery, and fast charging could appeal to heavy users, frequent travellers, and mobile gamers looking for highly reliable endurance. However, since we only have the certification details so far, we should wait for confirmation. It's also not clear if Vivo plans to offer the same specifications as the Chinese variant.

Computex 2026: AMD brings new Ryzen X3D CPUs and Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPU for 1440p gaming

AMD unveils new Ryzen X3D processors, Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPU and extends AM5 support through 2029, giving PC gamers clearer, longer upgrade paths.

[highlights]

AMD launches new Ryzen CPUs and a new Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPU for 1440p gaming.

AM5 platform support extended through 2029 for long-term upgrade paths.

AM4 gets a final 5800X3D anniversary upgrade for existing builders.

[/highlights]

AMD has announced two new products for PC gamers at Computex 2026: the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition processor for AM4 systems and the new Ryzen 7 7700X3D for the newer AM5 platform. The company also introduced the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card for gamers who want high-frame-rate 1440p performance without investing in a flagship variant. Let's check out these products in more detail below.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D & 7700X3D

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition celebrates 10 years of the AM4 socket and targets existing AM4 owners who want one last high-end CPU upgrade without changing their motherboard and RAM. It is based on the original Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the first Ryzen chip with AMD's 3D V-Cache technology, and now ships with a Carbice Ice Pad thermal interface material in the box to simplify cooler installation and maintain better long-term thermals. AMD plans to make it available from 25 June at a suggested price of 349 USD (approximately Rs 33,000).

For those already on, or moving to, the AM5 platform, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D brings AMD's 3D V-Cache gaming performance to a more accessible tier. It offers eight cores, a total of 104 MB cache and boost speeds of up to 4.5 GHz, which should translate to good responsiveness and high frame rates in modern titles, especially at 1080p and 1440p. AMD positions this chip as a more affordable entry into the AM5 ecosystem that still leaves plenty of room to upgrade to higher-end Ryzen CPUs later, and it is set to go on sale from 16 July at 329 USD (approximately Rs 31,000).

AMD's new Radeon GPU targets 1440p gaming

Alongside the CPUs, AMD has launched the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card globally for gamers targeting 1440p gaming. The card integrates 48 RDNA 4 compute units, 12 GB of video memory and clock speeds up to 2.79 GHz, and AMD claims it can deliver around 21 per cent higher performance at 1440p compared to a rival GPU in its class. The company is also relying on its FSR upscaling technologies, now supported in more than 300 games, to push frame rates further at higher resolutions. The Radeon RX 9070 GRE will be available from board partners in reference and factory-overclocked designs from 2 June, starting at 549 US dollars (approximately Rs 52,000).

AMD is also highlighting its EXPO memory technology with ultra-low-latency, certified RAM kits for Ryzen systems. For end users, this should mean easier one-click memory tuning in the BIOS and the potential for smoother performance in games and content creation workloads, without having to manually tweak timings.

Upgrade now, upgrade later: AMD's platform strategy

A key part of AMD's message at Computex 2026 is platform stability. AM4 has already served enthusiast PCs for a decade now, allowing builders to upgrade CPUs across several Ryzen generations without changing the rest of their system. By promising to support AM5 until 2029, AMD is trying to give buyers similar peace of mind: they can invest in an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory today, or substitute Ryzen chips over the next few years instead of rebuilding from scratch each time.

Looking closely, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition is a farewell upgrade for existing AM4 rigs, while the Ryzen 7 7700X3D and Radeon RX 9070 GRE target gamers planning a fresh AM5 build or a mid-cycle upgrade focused on high FPS 1440p gaming. Depending on price and local availability, these parts will likely sit against upper mid-range CPU and GPU options from Intel and Nvidia, but AMD's pitch rests on the combination of long-lived platforms, 3D V-Cache gaming performance and RDNA 4 efficiency.

[highlights]

Redmi Turbo 5 will launch as a performance-focused phone.

It's tipped to carry the same specs as the Chinese variant.

Redmi has yet to officially announce the launch date.

[/highlights]

Redmi has reportedly confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 will launch in India on June 16th. The upcoming handset will be the first in the Turbo series to arrive in India. The smartphone is teased to be performance-focused. The brand has yet to officially announce the launch date, but an official image shared by tipster Sanju on X confirms it. Redmi's product portfolio in India doesn't include a performance-focused phone, so the upcoming Turbo 5 would fill that space.

Redmi Turbo 5 India launch date

According to the teaser image, the Redmi Turbo 5 is set to launch in India on June 16th. That's around two weeks from now, so the official announcement shouldn't be long. The Redmi Turbo 5 is also confirmed to go on sale via Amazon. There's a dedicated microsite where Redmi is teasing the Turbo 5.

Redmi Turbo 5: what to expect

Since it's speculated that the Redmi Turbo 5 will launch with the same specs as the Chinese variant, here's what to expect.

The Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should deliver flagship-grade performance. The smartphone could compete with rivals like the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R. One of the standout features would be the 7,560mAh battery, which is among the largest available in this segment. The battery will support 100W wired fast charging, potentially allowing users to enjoy multi-day battery life without sacrificing charging speeds.

The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Selfies and video calls will be handled by a 20MP front-facing camera. The handset will also feature a metal frame and carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Rumours additionally suggest that Redmi may unveil the Redmi 17 alongside the Turbo 5, although Xiaomi has yet to confirm the existence of a second device at the launch event.

The Redmi Turbo 5 looks especially promising if battery life and performance rank high on the priority list. The device appears to offer a compelling balance of endurance, display quality, and premium build features. However, buyers should wait for pricing details and real-world performance reviews before making a purchase decision, particularly as competition in the upper mid-range segment remains intense. If you currently own an older Redmi phone, this might be a significant upgrade, especially for performance and battery life.

ColorOS 17 could feature more glass and light effects in several parts of the UI

Fresh details regarding OPPO's ColorOS 17 have emerged, revealing the new visual and design elements that could be added.

[highlights]

OPPO could add more visual flair to its Luminous Design framework with ColorOS 17

Notifications and live alerts on ColorOS 17 could get a major design uplift.

ColorOS 17 is still months away from being officially announced.

[/highlights]

If you thought ColorOS 16 on OPPO smartphones featured tons of glass and light elements, the bar could be set even higher with the upcoming ColorOS 17 update. According to a Weibo post from the renowned tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), OPPO is set to bring visual upgrades across the board that could make ColorOS appear more in line with Apple's iOS. While we're still months away from getting our first official look at ColorOS 17, here's what we've obtained from DCS today.

ColorOS 17 design could gain a major uplift in multiple areas

According to DCS, who has apparently sourced the information from a friend, ColorOS 17 is likely to introduce more liquid-glass-like visuals and real-time light rendering in several parts of the UI. Apart from that, the corners of the overlays or pop-up menus may gain harmonious rounded corners, a design strategy to make the UI appear more welcoming and user-friendly.

In the current iteration of ColorOS, i.e. ColorOS 16, OPPO follows the "Luminous Design" framework, which adds light and frosted glass design in the notification panel, app drawer, notification banners, number pads and buttons, and multiple first-party apps like Photos, Calculator, Phone, etc. So, if we are to believe DCS, OPPO could further revamp or improve how the glass-light design appears in these elements.

He also notes that real-time light effects could be added to notification pop-up windows and the music Live Alert. Currently, both the notifications and live alert overlays carry a Gaussian blur, at least on the high-end OPPO smartphones with capable hardware to render such effects. It'll be interesting to see how OPPO will incorporate light visuals to these areas, which have predominantly carried blur visuals for years.

How will ColorOS 17 be positioned among other skins

Apart from the revamped and upgraded visuals, OPPO is likely to further enrich the smoothness and fluidity of the software, as has been the case with every major ColorOS release over the past few years. AI features could also remain one of the strongest highlights of the upcoming Android software, as we've already seen on ColorOS 16.0.7, which recently debuted on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s.

OPPO, along with several other Android manufacturers, has embraced liquid-glass design elements inspired by Apple's iOS in recent times. For instance, Vivo's OriginOS 6 features glass-like elements across the lockscreen clock, Quick Settings panel, and other areas. Similarly, Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 draws several cues from iOS in its notification panel and Hyper Island animations. This appears to be a growing trend among Android brands, likely aimed at making iPhone users feel more at home when switching to Android.

Beyond Smartphones: How MediaTek is Powering the 'Agentic AI' Era Alongside NVIDIA

At Computex 2026, MediaTek shifts beyond smartphones, partnering with NVIDIA to lead the Agentic AI era across PCs, data centers, and smart vehicles.

For years, MediaTek has been the quiet giant powering billions of the world's smartphones. But at Computex 2026, the fabless semiconductor leader sent a clear message to the industry: the days of being boxed into the mobile category are over.

Armed with a sprawling portfolio of "Edge-to-Cloud" technologies, a formidable 30-year relationship with NVIDIA, and an aggressive strategy to dominate the PC, automotive, and data centre markets, MediaTek is positioning itself as the foundational architect of the "Agentic AI" era.

At the centre of this transformation is Vince Hu, Corporate Senior Vice President of MediaTek's Data Centre and Compute Business Group. In a recent interaction at Computex, Hu unpacked the company's ambitious roadmap, making it clear that MediaTek isn't just participating in the AI revolution; it intends to lead it.

Redefining the PC with NVIDIA RTX Spark

The crown jewel of MediaTek's Computex presence is its collaboration with NVIDIA on RTX Spark, a new class of processors aimed at powering the next wave of Windows 11 AI PCs. The SoC marries MediaTek's deep expertise in power efficiency, high-performance CPUs, and custom memory controllers (supporting up to 128GB of unified memory) with NVIDIA's undisputed graphics and AI dominance.

For MediaTek, this is a calculated push into premium personal computing. "Pound for pound, we just make the best chips in every category," Hu noted confidently.

But for Hu, the true revolution isn't just about the hardware; it's about how consumer behaviour is fundamentally shifting.

"I think in the future, people won't just talk to their PCs; they'll use them 24/7 to control applications," Hu explained. "Someone said something very interesting: most people don't use their mobile phones to make calls anymore. The same thing is going to happen with the PC. It's going to change from what it is today. You'll be able to tell your PC, 'Hey, take this email and...' The future is very bright. And you can do it locally, not just relying on the data centre."

Infiltrating the Data Centre

While local AI compute is critical, MediaTek is simultaneously tackling the massive infrastructure demands of the cloud. The company's Data Centre Solutions (DCS) division is working closely with top hyperscalers to deliver custom AI ASICs and advanced data centre platforms.

"This trend of owning more of a certain value is what most of the top hyperscalers desire," Hu explained, noting that MediaTek's strategy is to offer these tech giants the flexibility to bring their own designs and customise architectures. "When you look at all of our partners, we try to be flexible and start where they need us."

This flexibility is already yielding massive breakthroughs. Just ahead of Computex, MediaTek announced a landmark collaboration with Microsoft Research to develop an Active Optical Cable (AOC) powered by miniaturised MicroLEDs. By replacing power-hungry traditional laser channels with hundreds of low-speed MicroLED channels, the joint design slashes power consumption by up to 50% while offering the reliability of copper wire over a much longer reach.

"This collaboration leverages both companies' deep technology expertise... to solve critical industry limitations," Hu stated in the official announcement.

Driving the AI Smart Cockpit

MediaTek's aggressive expansion doesn't stop at the desktop or the server rack; it extends to the driveway. Expanding on its automotive partnerships, MediaTek announced a massive collaboration with Foxtron Vehicle Technologies (a Foxconn subsidiary) and NVIDIA to integrate the Dimensity AX C-X1 platform into next-generation intelligent vehicles.

Built on an advanced 3nm process, the C-X1 utilises NVIDIA's GPU and AI technologies to transform cars into AI-defined smart cockpits. From Agentic AI that personalises passenger interactions to 5G telematics and intuitive multimodal controls, MediaTek is proving that its chips are the central nervous system of the modern vehicle.

Expanding the Developer Ecosystem

To support this massive hardware footprint, MediaTek realises it must win over the developers. Hu acknowledged that while MediaTek has historically focused its developer conferences on mobile, the time has come to expand its outreach to include B2B, IoT, and data centre developers.

Because of their tight integration with NVIDIA, spanning from the RTX Spark to the mighty GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, MediaTek plans to lean heavily into NVIDIA's established developer ecosystem. "For the hyperscaler side, we will have to work with NVIDIA because GTC is their central developer area, and we are proud to always be a part of that," Hu remarked. "We have a huge investment in our group... we have a lot to learn, but we also see a lot of demand for developers figuring out how to use our tech as we grow."

Whether it's bringing local AI supercomputing to a slim laptop, cutting data centre power consumption in half, or turning a car into a proactive smart space, MediaTek's Computex 2026 showing proves one thing: they are no longer just a smartphone chipmaker.
Samsung Galaxy A27 US and global variants appear on FCC ahead of launch

[highlights]

Galaxy A27 will be the third model to join Samsung's A series.

It's expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.

Samsung has yet to officially tease the Galaxy A27.

[/highlights]

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A27 appears to be moving closer to launch. The smartphone has now surfaced on the FCC certification platform in both US and global variants, suggesting that the company is preparing for a wider international rollout very soon. FCC listings are often among the final regulatory hurdles before a smartphone reaches the market, suggesting a strong indication that an official announcement may not be far away.

Samsung Galaxy A27 FCC certification

91mobiles has spotted the Galaxy A27 with the model numbers SM-A276U and SM-A276B on the FCC certification database. While the listing doesn't reveal any specifications, it strongly suggests an imminent launch. The Galaxy A27 will launch as the third model in Samsung's latest A series, which already has the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57. It would be the most affordable one among the three.

[gallery link="file" size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="703583,703584"]

Samsung Galaxy A27: what to expect

The Galaxy A27 is expected to succeed the Galaxy A26 as Samsung's next affordable mid-range offering. While the company has not officially confirmed any specifications, recent leaks and benchmark listings have painted a clearer picture of what buyers can expect.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy A27 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The device is also tipped to run Android 16 out of the box, likely with Samsung's latest One UI software on top. This suggests dependable performance for regular usage. The design is said to closely follow that of the already available Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, which means we're getting a punch-hole display instead of the notch.

On the front, the Galaxy A27 is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. If accurate, the panel would place the device among the better-equipped smartphones in its segment, particularly for users who prioritise media consumption, social media browsing, and gaming. Camera specifications are expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. The camera setup is quite versatile for the segment. Most phones in the affordable mid-range segment stick to a dual-camera setup, so the Galaxy A27 may have an advantage here.

Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy A27 could be worth considering if you're looking for a mid-range Samsung phone as your daily driver. Samsung's software experience and long-term support also make it a viable choice among rivals. Its suite of AI features is also more refined than what other brands offer, and this could be advantageous in the mid-range segment as more phones implement AI for daily tasks.

If you own an older Galaxy A series phone, the A27's chipset and cameras could make it a worthwhile upgrade. However, if you have an A36, the differences might not justify the cost. We should still wait for official details and reviews before coming to a buying decision.

The new Dell XPS 13 and Alienware 39‑inch 5K OLED and 34‑inch 280 Hz QD‑OLED gaming monitors debut at Computex 2026 for students and gamers.

[highlights]

The new Dell XPS 13 is the thinnest, lightest XPS yet and targets students and professionals.

Alienware's new AW3926QW and AW3426DW gaming monitors bring brighter next‑gen OLED panels, higher refresh rates, and better anti‑glare features.

[/highlights]

At Computex 2026, Dell is rolling out two major refreshes across its consumer lineup. The new XPS 13 targets students and young professionals, trimming weight and thickness while still offering a premium 13.4‑inch display and the latest Intel hardware. On the gaming side, Alienware is updating its big‑screen monitors with a 39‑inch 5K OLED and a 34‑inch 280 Hz QD‑OLED, both designed to deliver higher brightness, faster response, and better everyday usability than the previous generation. Check out the details below.

Dell XPS 13:

The new Dell XPS 13 is the brand's thinnest and lightest XPS yet, built for students and young professionals who want a premium-feeling laptop that's still relatively affordable. It weighs about 1 kg, measures just 12.75 mm thick, and uses an aluminium chassis that comes in Sky and Storm colours. You get a 13.4‑inch 2.5K touch display with 100 percent DCI‑P3 colour, a variable 30–120 Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals and a battery that claims up‑to‑17 hours of video streaming.

Under the hood, it runs on Intel Core Series 3 processors at launch, with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 options coming later, up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. Other features include a dual‑fan cooling setup, a backlit keyboard, a standard touchscreen, Intel Wi‑Fi 7, and a glass touchpad.

Feature

Details

Design

Around 1 kg, 12.75 mm thin aluminium chassis

Display

13.4‑inch 2.5K LCD touchscreen, 100% DCI‑P3, 30–120 Hz variable refresh

CPU options

Intel Core Series 3; Intel Core Ultra Series 3 coming post‑launch

Memory

Up to 32 GB LPDDR5X

Storage

Up to 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD

Battery claim

Up to ~17 hours of video streaming

Connectivity

Intel Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, USB‑C / Thunderbolt (depending on CPU)

Alongside the new XPS 13, Dell also brought a refreshed lineup of Alienware gaming monitors to Computex. Check it out below:

Alienware 39-inch 5K OLED (AW3926QW)

Alienware's 39‑inch AW3926QW is their big, showpiece monitor this year. It's a curved 5K OLED screen that tries to look good not just in a dark gaming room, but also in bright everyday setups. The new RGB‑stripe tandem OLED panel claims to get very bright while still keeping deep blacks and sharp text, so games, movies, and even plain desktop work should look clean and vivid.

Its key trick up its sleeve is the dual‑mode design: you can run it at 5K and 165 Hz for immersive single‑player games or switch to 1080p at 330 Hz when you want ultra‑fast response for competitive titles, all from the on‑screen menu.

Alienware also tries to ease the usual OLED worries with built‑in pixel management to reduce burn‑in risk and comes with a 3‑year burn‑in warranty. On the back, you get all the ports you'd expect from a high‑end display, plus a built‑in KVM so you can hook up more than one PC and still use a single keyboard and mouse.

Feature

Details

Size & type

39‑inch curved RGB‑stripe tandem OLED

Resolution

5120 × 2160 (5K ultrawide)

Refresh rate

165 Hz at 5K; 330 Hz at 1080p (dual‑mode)

Brightness

Up to 1,300 nits peak

Curve

1500R

HDR

DisplayHDR True Black 500, Dolby Vision

Response time

0.03 ms (gray‑to‑gray)

Sync

G‑SYNC Compatible, FreeSync Premium Pro

Ports

DP 2.1, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), USB‑C (90 W), KVM

Alienware 34-inch 280Hz QD‑OLED (AW3426DW)

The 34‑inch AW3426DW is a major refresh of Alienware's popular QD‑OLED ultrawide. It keeps the same 34‑inch curved format but uses a newer "Penta Tandem" QD‑OLED panel that claims to be brighter, sharper, and more efficient. It also has higher peak brightness, better everyday brightness, and a new anti‑reflective coating. The refresh rate has jumped from 240 Hz to 280 Hz, with a very fast response time plus support for both major adaptive‑sync standards.

The monitor is built to handle fast shooters as well as big single‑player games without tearing or smearing. Earlier XPS 13s were either pricier, more powerful "creator" machines or experimental designs with invisible haptic touchpads and high‑end OLEDs. This refresh is a step back toward a simpler, lighter 13‑inch model that keeps the aluminium build, slim InfinityEdge screen, touchscreen, and Wi‑Fi 7 but dials down specs and (eventually) price so more people can actually buy one.

For Alienware, the 39‑inch AW3926QW and 34‑inch AW3426DW build directly on its earlier QD‑OLED line, but both push past the "OLED is great, but only in a dark room" limitation. The 39‑inch 5K flagship uses a new RGB‑stripe tandem OLED panel to boost peak brightness and text clarity versus previous Alienware OLEDs while still keeping deep blacks and adding a dual‑display‑mode setup that older models missed. Together, they sit above Alienware's more affordable 32‑ and 34‑inch 240 Hz LCDs and give enthusiasts more concrete reasons to upgrade from the first‑generation 34‑inch QD‑OLED or smaller 27‑inch OLEDs.

Since Xiaomi is launching only the Xiaomi 17T in India on June 4th, we'll have to wait and see whether the smartphone also gains AirDrop support out of the box.

Back in November 2025, Google surprised the world by rolling out AirDrop support for the Pixel 10 series, finally breaking the walls between Android and iOS file sharing. Then, sometime later, it officially confirmed that the ability to share media from Android to Apple devices via AirDrop will be made available to more devices in the future. Since then, AirDrop support has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S22, S23, S24, S25 series, OPPO Find X9 series, including the X9, X9s, X9 Pro, and X9 Ultra.

With AirDrop support on not just Xiaomi devices, but Android devices in general, this can turn out to be highly useful for people who live in circles with people owning both Android and iOS devices, or those who frequently interact with Apple users.

Vivo X500 Ultra may get a dedicated 10x telephoto lens, leak claims

[highlights]

Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to launch as the brand's next premium flagship.

It could house a built-in telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom.

The current Vivo X300 Ultra supports up to 3.7x optical zoom.

[/highlights]

The battle for smartphone camera supremacy may soon enter a new phase. A fresh leak indicates that Vivo is testing a dedicated 10x telephoto camera for its next-generation Ultra flagship, the Vivo X500 Ultra. While the company has yet to confirm any details, the reported test setup hints at a notable shift in Vivo's imaging strategy. Rather than relying primarily on a lens extender, Vivo appears to be evaluating a much longer optical zoom solution built into the phone.

Vivo X500 Ultra with 10x telephoto camera

Vivo's next Ultra flagship could feature a telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. Vivo's current Ultra flagship, the X300 Ultra (review), features a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom. It comes with 200mm and 400mm Zeiss telephoto extenders (review), allowing you to shoot distant objects while maintaining good detail. With a 10x optical zoom, the Vivo X500 Ultra may not require an extender kit.
[caption id="attachment_700472" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Vivo X300 Ultra with the Zeiss telephoto extender[/caption]
However, implementing a 10x zoom camera is easier said than done. Longer focal lengths typically require larger camera modules, more internal space, and increasingly complex image stabilisation systems. Smartphone manufacturers must also balance zoom performance against weight, thickness, battery capacity, and production costs. Vivo's Ultra models are known to house large camera modules and a thick form factor altogether to incorporate the large sensors.

For Vivo, a dedicated 10x telephoto camera could strengthen an area where the company has traditionally been competitive. The brand's flagship phones have earned a reputation for strong camera performance, partly due to its long-standing collaboration with Zeiss and a focus on imaging hardware.

If Vivo ultimately adopts a dedicated 10x periscope camera, it could make the X500 Ultra one of the most versatile camera phones on the market. For photography enthusiasts who frequently capture wildlife, sports, concerts, or distant landscapes, the upgrade could offer meaningful real-world benefits beyond the typical annual camera improvements. With this expectation, the Vivo X500 Ultra could be worth waiting for, if you're still on the hunt for the ultimate camera phone.

Redmi Note 17 series tipped to pack 10,000mAh+ batteries; launch expected in September

[highlights]

The Redmi Note 17 series will succeed the Redmi Note 15 lineup.

It will debut in China with a global release expected soon.

This time, the brand seems to be focused on large batteries.

[/highlights]

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing a major battery upgrade for its next-generation Redmi Note lineup. According to recent information, the upcoming Redmi Note 17 series could feature substantially larger battery capacities than its predecessors, making endurance the key focus this time. The Redmi Note 17 series is expected to succeed the current Redmi Note 15 lineup. Interestingly, Xiaomi may skip the Redmi Note 16 branding altogether in certain markets to align the naming scheme with its flagship Xiaomi 17 series.

Redmi Note 17 series 10,000mAh+ batteries tipped

According to a new leak shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, Redmi Note 17 models intended for the Chinese market could feature batteries exceeding 10,000mAh. This would be a major upgrade overall and in comparison to the Redmi Note 15 Pro (Chinese variant), which has a 7,000mAh battery. Global variants, including those expected to launch in markets such as India, are tipped to arrive with battery capacities ranging between 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh. In India, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series has a 6,500mAh battery.

If accurate, the battery capacities would represent one of the biggest year-over-year upgrades in the history of the Redmi Note series. The move would also place Xiaomi among a growing number of brands prioritising battery life, like Realme and OnePlus. Devices with 8,000mAh batteries, once considered niche, are rapidly becoming mainstream in the mid-range segment.

The launch timeline is said to remain unchanged from previous generations, pointing to a September debut. With the expected launch still a few months away, additional details regarding the Redmi Note 17 series' processors, display specifications, cameras, and charging capabilities are likely to emerge in the coming weeks.

If the battery rumours prove accurate, Xiaomi's next-generation Redmi Note lineup could set a new benchmark for smartphone endurance in the mid-range segment. The Redmi Note 17 series could be worth waiting for if battery capacity is a priority.

OnePlus Turbo 6x, Turbo 6x Pro could launch in China soon; key specifications and design renders leaked

The key specifications and design renders of the OnePlus Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro have leaked online.

[highlights]

OnePlus Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro could target the budget and midrange market.

OnePlus Turbo 6x could be powered by a MediaTek chipset, while the Turbo 6x Pro may run on a Qualcomm processor.

These smartphones are likely to remain exclusive to China.

[/highlights]

Having recently launched the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra in its home market, it appears that the brand is now preparing to target the budget and midrange market with the release of the Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro. The listings of these smartphones have been spotted on Google Play Console, revealing their key specifications. Just last month, a OnePlus phone with the model number PYR110 appeared on China's TENAA certification database. It is widely rumoured to be the Turbo 6x Pro.

What the OnePlus Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro could offer

According to the Google Play Console database (via XpertPick), the previously revealed OnePlus phone on the TENAA certification, carrying the model number PYR110, could be named OnePlus Turbo 6x Pro, while the device with the model number PYS110 will likely be called OnePlus Turbo 6x.

Given the naming scheme, it's easy to infer that the OnePlus Turbo 6x Pro will be the higher-end variant of the Turbo 6x. These smartphones could join the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V family, which were launched in China in January as performance-oriented smartphones.

On the specifications front, the Turbo 6X serves as the more affordable option, sporting a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset and backed by a large 7,000mAh battery. With such a big cell, it suggests OnePlus is prioritising endurance, a smart move for the demanding Chinese market. Memory configurations could include 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB variants.

The OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro, on the other hand, could sport a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel and could run on the more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It might pack an even bigger 8,000mAh battery and could offer higher memory options ranging from 6GB up to 16GB RAM, along with storage up to 1TB. For cameras, the standard Turbo 6X gets a basic 50MP + 2MP dual setup, while the Pro model upgrades to a 50MP + 8MP combination. On the front, they feature 8MP and 16MP selfie cameras, respectively. Both devices are expected to run on ColorOS 16.

If the specifications appear similar, then don't doubt your thinking, as the recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite and Nord CE 6 featured a similar set of specifications as the Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro, respectively. Per our experience with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Dimensity 7400, both handsets should offer enough raw power for daily use. Now, let's move on to the design renders.

Here's how the OnePlus Turbo 6x and Turbo 6x Pro could look like

Firstly, the OnePlus Turbo 6x looks strikingly similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, since it features a left-aligned vertical camera array, and also appears to carry a matte-like finish rear panel. On the other hand, the Turbo 6x Pro could take cues from the OnePlus 15 and the Nord CE 6 series by featuring a subtly designed protruding square camera module.

[gallery link="file" columns="2" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="703543,703544"]

While it will be available in multiple colour options, the renders suggest that the Turbo 6X Pro will feature a bold purple shade, similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R. This makes it a preferable choice for those who want a fun, funky look.

Since the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V have remained exclusive to China, the upcoming Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro are also likely to skip international markets. This is further supported by the fact that these models reportedly share specifications similar to those of the Nord CE 6 series. The strategy behind releasing these models is most likely to penetrate the market deeply and present them as alternatives to the existing offerings from Vivo, Xiaomi, Huawei, and others.

Computex 2026: Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite makes its mini‑PC debut with ASUS Ascent QN10

[highlights]

The ASUS Ascent QN10 is the first mini‑PC running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite platform.

Snapdragon X2 Elite combines up to 18 CPU cores, integrated graphics, and an 80 TOPS NPU.

It comes in an ultra-compact 0.7L design that stays cool, ideal for small desks, studios, and office spaces.

[/highlights]

ASUS is bringing Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite to mini‑PCs for the first time with the new Ascent QN10. It's a tiny, space‑saving box aimed at prosumers, developers, and small businesses who want a quiet desktop that can handle AI assistants, coding, and everyday work without a bulky tower. Instead of chasing high‑end gaming, this mini‑PC focuses on efficient performance, long, cool‑running sessions, and the ability to run modern AI tools directly on the device.

What powers the ASUS Ascent QN10?

The ASUS Ascent QN10 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. It offers up to 18 Oryon CPU cores, integrated Adreno X2 graphics, and a dedicated NPU rated at 80 TOPS, so it can handle everyday desktop work, coding, and on‑device AI tools without needing a separate graphics card.

It can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory at 9,600 MHz and dual SSD storage, and it's certified as a Copilot+ PC, so you get Microsoft's latest on‑device AI features out of the box. The QN10 is built for long, cool‑running sessions where you might have multiple apps, browser tabs, and AI assistants open at once.

Qualcomm is also pitching Snapdragon X2 Elite as a secure platform for work. The chip comes with hardware-level protections and works with modern Windows security features, which helps keep more of your data on the device while still letting you use cloud services when you want to. For freelancers, small teams, and businesses that handle sensitive documents or code, that mix of performance, efficiency, and built‑in security is a big part of the appeal.

Why does the compact design matter?

The ASUS Ascent QN10's chassis comes in under 0.7 litres, which is tiny even by mini‑PC standards, and ASUS claims it's around 86 percent smaller than the usual 5‑litre small‑form‑factor desktop. The size essentially lets it disappear behind a monitor, mount it under a desk, or sit beside a TV without drawing attention. For cramped student rooms, shared home offices, or small studios, that's a sure benefit.

Despite its ultra‑small 0.7L chassis, the QN10 still supports up to four 4K displays (one HDMI plus three over USB4) and packs seven USB ports in total: three USB4, three USB 3.2 Gen 2, and one USB 2.0, along with Wi‑Fi 7 for fast wireless connection. It is flexible enough to serve as a personal desktop, a small office PC, or a box that drives digital signage in a shop or lobby.

Who is it for?

The Snapdragon X2 Elite inside the QN10 is designed to run a mix of AI assistants, coding tools, and office apps directly on the device. Qualcomm talks about support for "agentic" AI workflows, which basically means you can run AI tools that chain together multiple tasks, like summarising research, drafting emails, or refactoring code. without sending every step to a remote server.

For developers, that could mean using tools like VS Code, AI code copilots, and local model experiments on a box that still fits under a monitor. For professional users and small teams, the QN10 is pitched as a quiet machine that can juggle content creation, spreadsheets, browser tabs, and communication apps without feeling sluggish.

It won't rival a full‑size desktop with a big RTX card for gaming, but for AI assistants, code copilots, and day‑to‑day productivity, the Snapdragon X2 Elite is designed to deliver higher AI throughput and better performance‑per‑watt than most similarly sized Intel and AMD‑based mini‑PCs, especially given how compact the QN10's sub‑0.7L chassis is.

Realme P4R box price leaks ahead of India launch; could be a rebranded Realme 16T

[highlights]

Realme P4R is teased to launch in India.

It's confirmed to get a large battery.

The smartphone could launch with the same specs as the Realme 16T.

[/highlights]

Realme started teasing the launch of a new P series smartphone in India, the Realme P4R. The handset is part of Realme's battery-driven P series, which focuses on endurance, like the Realme P4 Power, offering a massive 10,000mAh battery. Ahead of its official debut, the retail box price of the upcoming Realme P4R has surfaced online, giving us an early look at its expected price. The handset's specifications have also been leaked, suggesting it could be a rebrand of the Realme 16T.

Realme P4R box price leak

The leak, including an image of the Realme P4R's box, shared by tipster Sanju, reveals a Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of Rs 44,999 for the 6GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
As is typically the case with most smartphones, the actual selling price is expected to be considerably lower than the listed box MRP. However, it does suggest the Realme P4R could be priced in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment.

Realme P4R specifications (expected)

According to the leaked retail packaging, the Realme P4R could feature a 6.8-inch HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, and a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The device is also said to include a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system and a pulse notification light.

The handset reportedly measures 8.88mm in thickness and weighs 224g, which is understandable given the large battery capacity. It is expected to be offered in 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB configurations. Colour options could include Silver Glare, Titanium Glare, and Lavender Glare.

Interestingly, the leaked specifications closely mirror those of the Realme 16T, raising the possibility that the Realme P4R could be a rebranded version of the device with a refreshed design and branding strategy. Smartphone makers frequently adopt such an approach to target different online and offline sales channels while maintaining similar hardware.

If the specifications prove accurate, the Realme P4R would position itself as a battery-focused smartphone. The combination of an 8,000mAh battery and 144Hz display could appeal to users looking for extended battery life, including students, delivery professionals, frequent travellers, and casual gamers. The final pricing will ultimately determine how competitive the device is against rivals in the mid-range segment. Prospective buyers interested in a long-lasting battery phone might want to keep an eye on this launch, but should await official pricing and comprehensive reviews before making a decision.

ASUS ROG celebrates 20 years at Computex 2026 with limited-edition hardware, including all-new Xbox Ally X20 Bundle

ASUS ROG marks its 20th anniversary at Computex 2026, featuring the G1000 flagship desktop, Xbox Ally X20 AR bundle, and a first-ever ROG board game.

ASUS Republic of Gamers showcased Edition 20 at Computex 2026, marking its 20th anniversary. This collection includes gaming desktops, handhelds, peripherals, software, and lifestyle products. They share a limited-edition design inspired by ROG Black, ROG Red, Crystal Lens, and Radiant Gold colours. ROG aims to present Edition 20 not just as a look back but as an introduction to its next chapter. It features AI-driven gaming and deeper ecosystem integration.

Pricing and availability for Edition 20 products in India have not yet been announced. Given the timing of the announcement at Computex 2026, more information on availability and regional pricing should follow in the upcoming weeks.

ROG G1000 Edition 20: a flagship desktop with a holographic fan

The standout announcement is the ROG G1000 Edition 20. It's a high-end ultra-tower desktop that ROG calls its flagship for unmatched performance. It supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU and an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. This showcases the best in consumer desktop technology.

The main feature is the AniMe Holo display, which ROG claims is the world's first holographic fan system in a prebuilt gaming PC. This system enables users to project customizable visuals through the chassis fan. This serves as both a display and a cooling solution. It also earned the G1000 Edition 20 a Golden Award in the Gaming and Immersive Tech category at the Computex Best Choice Awards 2026.

A Tri-Zone cooling architecture, combined with a 420mm AIO liquid cooler, allows the system to handle up to 1000W TDP. This should provide ample thermal capacity for current and future GPU and CPU setups. Each unit includes a Glory Gold signature badge and a unique factory serial number.

ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle: handheld gaming with AR glasses

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle is a limited-edition handheld gaming package, upgrading the original ROG Xbox Ally X with plenty of new goodies, including AMD's Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. The device has a new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, TMR joysticks, and a transforming D-pad. It also supports Auto SR AI-powered upscaling. The see-through black chassis with gold accents appeals to both collectors and gamers.

This bundle comes with ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses. This should enhance the gaming experience by extending it into augmented reality. This pairing reflects ROG's vision for portable gaming, not only more powerful handhelds but also immersive options that transcend traditional screens.

ROG Strix SCAR 18: Intel 290HX Plus meets RTX 5090 in an 18-inch laptop

On the laptop front, ROG is showing off the updated Strix SCAR 18. Brand says it can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. It has a maximum total system power rating of 320W. The display is an 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED panel, certified with ROG's Nebula HDR and equipped with Extreme Low Motion Blur technology. ASUS says this setup has no direct equivalent in the current laptop market. Tool-less access for SSD and RAM upgrades remains a valuable feature for enthusiasts who want to upgrade without special tools.

Beyond hardware: software, lifestyle, and a board game

Edition 20 goes beyond traditional product categories. ROG Armoury Crate Edition 20 is a limited-edition software theme that comes preloaded on the G1000. This showcases a unified visual identity for ROG's anniversary throughout 2026.

The ROG SLASH Backpack Edition 20 is a collector's version of the SLASH Backpack 4.0. It features gold accents and anniversary detailing. Meanwhile, it supports up to 18-inch laptops and uses tear-resistant, water-repellent materials. The Fidlock magnetic buckle adds a functional daily carry element while serving as a commemorative item.

In a surprising move, ROG has launched its first board game, ROG Saga: In Search of Lapuntu Edition 20. Set in ROG's cyberpunk SAGA universe, the game can accommodate up to four players. It also includes a premium gaming table mat with accessories. It serves as a collectable, a narrative experience, and signals ROG's expansion into physical spaces.

Edition 20 is a limited-run collection, so availability will be constrained, and pricing will reflect that. The G1000 Edition 20 and Strix SCAR 18 stand on their own hardware merits; both sit at the top of their respective categories regardless of anniversary context. The Xbox Ally X20 Bundle is harder to evaluate without hands-on time, particularly around whether the AR glasses integration justifies the premium. The backpack, board game, and software themes are collector purchases first worth it for long-time ROG followers, less so for buyers focused purely on utility.

Edition 20 signifies ROG's dual focus. It celebrates a true milestone: 20 years of hardware that has influenced PC culture worldwide. At the same time, it uses this milestone to announce the brand's new direction. It seems like ROG is moving toward deeper ecosystem integration, AI-assisted gaming, and experiences that reach beyond the screen.

The board game, AR glasses bundle, and holographic fan desktop are intentional additions. They demonstrate ROG's goal to redefine what gaming products can be. This shift moves from just components and systems to encompass culture, community, and immersive experiences.

Computex 2026: Acer brings new Aspire and Swift AI laptops for work and everyday use

The new Acer Aspire and Swift AI laptops bring thinner designs, long battery life, and on‑device AI features for students and everyday office users at Computex 2026.

[highlights]

Acer has launched new Aspire, Swift, and TravelMate AI laptops at Computex 2026 for students, home users, and professionals.

The Aspire series targets everyday use with bigger screens, while the Swift series focuses on thin-and-light designs.

Most models will roll out globally between July and September 2026, with wider regional availability to follow.

[/highlights]

Acer is using Computex 2026 to reset its entire Windows lineup around AI PCs, with new Aspire, Swift, and TravelMate machines aimed at everyone from students and home users to travelling executives. The common thread between these products is quite simple: modern Intel Core Series 3/Core Ultra chips with built-in NPUs, long battery life, and cleaner designs or bulky workstations. We'll look at it in a bit more detail below.

Acer Aspire: AI PCs for home and students

The new Aspire X 16 AI and Aspire 18 AI target everyday users who split time between work, study, and entertainment. The Aspire X 16 AI is the slimmer, more premium option, pairing Intel Core Ultra X‑series chips and integrated graphics with a 16‑inch 3K OLED, 120 Hz display and long battery life in a portable chassis. It's ideal for people who want a nicer screen and a bit more power for light editing and AI features but still need something easy to carry.

The Aspire 18 AI goes all in instead, with a large 18‑inch WUXGA display and high refresh rate, making it feel closer to a portable desktop. It targets at-home users, students, and casual creators who mostly work at a desk but still want the option to move around the house or campus, and it comes with extras like Wi‑Fi 7, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, and an oversized touchpad for comfort.

Acer's Aspire C 24 and C 27 AI all‑in‑one desktops complete this family for shared spaces. They offer 23.8‑ and 27‑inch Full HD panels, slim stands, and a choice of AMD Ryzen AI or Intel Core Ultra chips, with pop‑up IR webcams and a clean design for family rooms or small home offices.

Acer Swift: thin‑and‑light AI laptops

For people who care more about portability and style, Acer's Swift series gets two new AI‑ready models. The Swift Air 14 is the mainstream thin‑and‑light machine with a 14‑inch, under‑1.3 kg aluminium laptop using Intel Core Series 3 processors and a dedicated NPU to run on‑device AI features. It offers up to all‑day battery life, fast charging, a 120 Hz WUXGA display, quad speakers, and a 1080p IR webcam, making it a good everyday choice for students and office workers who move a lot.

The Swift Spin 14 AI is the more flexible 2‑in‑1 option. It steps up to Intel Core Ultra with higher AI performance, adds a 360‑degree hinge, and uses a 14‑inch 120 Hz touchscreen that supports an active stylus for notes and sketching. With Wi‑Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and features like a 5 MP IR webcam with presence detection and a fingerprint reader, it's clearly tuned for power users, hybrid workers, and light creators who want tablet modes without giving up a full laptop keyboard.

Acer TravelMate: AI and security for business

On the business side, Acer's new TravelMate models bring the same AI focus to enterprises and SMBs. The TravelMate P6 14 AI sits at the top here with an ultra-light (under 1 kg) Copilot+ PC with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Intel vPro, which targets security and remote manageability. It promises up to 30 hours of battery life, Wi‑Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, and a 14‑inch display with options up to 2.8K OLED, alongside numerous hardware security features and AI‑assisted video call tools.

Below it, the TravelMate P2 Spin 14 offers a 2‑in‑1 design for field workers and flexible roles, with a 14‑inch WUXGA touchscreen, a garaged Wacom stylus, dual webcams (including a world‑facing one), MIL‑STD 810H durability, and Wi‑Fi 7. The TravelMate X2 14 and X2 15 complete the lineup as more traditional clamshells for SMBs, with Intel Core Series 3, MIL‑STD durability, TPM, optional fingerprint and chassis intrusion alerts, Wi‑Fi 6E, and AI‑enhanced audio/video for calls. The 15‑inch version also adds a numeric keypad for spreadsheet‑heavy work.

Final thoughts and availability

Acer's new Aspire, Swift, and TravelMate models neatly cover most use cases: Aspire is for home and students, Swift is for thin‑and‑light everyday laptops, and TravelMate is for business users who need extra security and durability. Compared to older Aspire, Swift, and TravelMate laptops, this update is doing more than just slapping on an NPU label.

Recent Aspire AI models already got faster screens and slimmer bodies, and the new X 16 and 18 AI go further with 120 Hz displays, larger OLED options, and better battery claims.

The Swift Air 14 and Swift Spin 14 AI are lighter and more portable than earlier Swift Go and Swift 14 notebooks while still improving battery life and connectivity, and the new TravelMate machines add better vPro security, Wi‑Fi 7, and tougher builds than previous business models.

Most of these AI PCs are scheduled to start rolling out globally between July and September 2026, with some regions (like Australia) getting select models later in the year. India pricing and exact launch dates haven't been confirmed yet, but Acer typically brings its key Aspire, Swift, and TravelMate lines to the market soon after their global debut.

Vivo S60 and S60e debut in China with compact 144Hz display, 7200mAh battery

[highlights]

Vivo S60 series includes two phones, including an S60e model.

The Vivo S60e is also referred to as the Vitality Edition.

Both phones come in a compact form factor.

[/highlights]

Vivo has expanded its S-series portfolio in China with the launch of the vivo S60 and vivo S60e (Vitality Edition). The new smartphones arrive with a clear focus on three areas: design, cameras, and battery life. The new Vivo S60 series packs a massive 7,200mAh battery while maintaining a slim 7.92mm profile and a weight of 199g. Here's all you need to know about Vivo's latest premium mid-range phones.

Vivo S60 series design: premium with special 'Starry Sea' variant

The Vivo S60 series adopts a refined design language featuring a metal frame and a seamless glass rear panel that integrates the camera module directly into the back. The devices are available in Starry Sea, Early Summer Green, and Midsummer Night colour options.

Among these, the Starry Sea variant stands out with a new starburst lithography process that creates a diamond-like frosted texture beneath the glass. The result is a finish that shifts and reflects light differently depending on viewing angles. On the front, both models feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This display offers a compact feel, which isn't too small or too large at the same time. The high refresh rate should also aid in smoother animations and gaming.

Vivo S60 series cameras: 3x periscope telephoto

Photography continues to be a major focus for the S-series. Both the Vivo S60 and S60e feature a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The standard Vivo S60 receives the more advanced rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Vivo S60e retains the 50MP primary and 8MP ultra-wide cameras but misses out on the dedicated telephoto lens. The inclusion of a periscope camera is particularly notable. giving the S60 an advantage for portrait photography and long-range shots compared to many rivals that rely solely on digital zoom.

Vivo S60 series performance: different chipset, same battery

The two models are differentiated primarily by their processors. The Vivo S60 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, positioning it as the performance-oriented option in the lineup. Meanwhile, the Vivo S60e features the MediaTek Dimensity 7500, targeting users who prioritise everyday efficiency over flagship-level performance.

Despite the chipset differences, both phones share the same 7,200mAh "Blue Ocean" battery and support 90W wired fast charging. The battery capacity should deliver more than a day's usage. The Vivo S60 series also comes with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, and stereo dual speakers.

The series also introduces Vivo's new "Gu Mei Component" feature, which displays interactive character elements on the lock screen and home screen. In China, the company is further leaning into customisation with an exclusive visual theme for Tian Xiwei, the lead actress in the globally famed series, Pursuit of Jade.

The Vivo S60 series is now available in China, with the Vivo S60e starting at CNY 2,899 (Rs 40,600 approx) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 3,599 (RS 50,400 approx) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The Vivo S60 series appears to be aimed at users who want a premium-looking smartphone without stepping into flagship territory. The Vivo S60 is likely the more compelling option for most buyers thanks to its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and dedicated periscope telephoto camera, which add meaningful advantages in both performance and photography. Meanwhile, the vivo S60e could appeal to users who value battery life, display quality, and design but do not necessarily need advanced zoom capabilities.

If you're coming from an older mid-range phone, the S60 series offers significant upgrades in terms of cameras and battery capacity.

Vivo X Fold 6 could debut in China later this month with 7,000mAh battery, Dimensity 9500 SoC

[highlights]

Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to house a large 7,000mAh battery.

It could use the same 200MP camera as the X Fold 6.

The foldable will debut in China with a global debut expected soon.

[/highlights]

Vivo's next-generation foldable could launch as early as this month. While the brand has yet to officially tease the X Fold 6, it's been appearing on several leaks online. A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that Vivo is preparing to unveil the Vivo X Fold 6 in China towards the end of June. While an earlier rumour had pointed to a broader April-to-June launch window, this is the first time a more specific timeframe has surfaced.

Vivo X Fold 6: what to expect

The Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to arrive as the successor to the X Fold 5, which set a benchmark in the foldable segment with one of the largest batteries seen in a mainstream foldable smartphone. According to the latest information, Vivo is planning to raise the bar even further.

The biggest upgrade could come in the battery department. The X Fold 6 is said to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, representing a substantial increase over the X Fold 5's 6,000mAh cell (review). If accurate, the device could establish a new benchmark for battery capacity among book-style foldables.

Battery life remains one of the biggest pain points for foldable buyers, with many flagship foldables from Samsung and Google still offering batteries in the 4,000mAh to 5,00mAh range. A 7,000mAh battery would give vivo a significant advantage on paper, especially for power users who rely on multitasking, productivity apps, and extended media consumption.

The handset is also expected to be powered by MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. With this chipset, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to compete directly with Qualcomm's next-generation flagship offerings in terms of performance, efficiency, and AI processing.

On the imaging front, Vivo may continue its focus on flagship-grade cameras. The foldable is rumoured to feature a 200MP primary camera paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Like its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 6 could offer one of the most capable camera systems in the foldable category. The device is also expected to retain the large circular rear camera module seen on its predecessor, although the display is tipped to feature slightly more rounded corners for a refreshed look.

The Vivo X Fold 6 appears to be shaping up as an iterative upgrade rather than a complete redesign. However, the combination of a larger battery, flagship chipset, and upgraded camera hardware could make it one of the most compelling foldables of 2026. We should still wait for more details regarding the foldable's specifications, and especially its price.

[highlights]

The RTX Spark superchip brings high-end RTX 50‑series performance to thin and light Windows laptops.

Its unified design lets one machine handle local AI, high‑resolution creative workloads, and 1440p AAA gaming.

It will debut in premium devices aimed at creators, gamers, and early adopters.

[/highlights]

The NVIDIA RTX Spark is a new Arm‑based "AI PC" superchip that brings RTX 5070‑level graphics performance to slim Windows laptops and compact desktops. It uses unified memory so the CPU and GPU share one big, fast pool of RAM, which helps with heavy AI, video editing, and 3D work without slowing the system down.

Beyond the AI buzzwords, the RTX Spark is also a new Windows on Arm alternative, going up directly against Qualcomm's Snapdragon X chips with a stronger focus on RTX gaming and creator workloads. Let's look at exactly what the new NVIDIA RTX Spark platforms offer in more detail below.

NVIDIA RTX Spark: core features

The RTX Spark uses a custom Arm-based design that Nvidia has built in partnership with MediaTek, which handles the CPU side of the chip. It uses a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU built on Arm cores to balance high performance with the power efficiency needed for slim laptops and compact desktops.

On the graphics side, RTX Spark pairs that CPU with a Blackwell-based RTX GPU that packs up to 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores, roughly comparable to RTX 5070 GPU performance in a single package. Nvidia rates the whole superchip at up to 1 petaflop of AI compute, which should prove enough for local AI assistants, fast content creation tools, and modern games in the same machine.

Instead of separate memory pools for CPU and GPU, RTX Spark uses unified LPDDR5X memory that both sides share, with configurations going up to 128GB and bandwidth around the 270–300GB/s mark. In practice, this means users can load large 3D scenes, long 12K video timelines, or big language models without constantly bumping into memory limits or stutters as data moves around.

Nvidia's own numbers say this is enough to render 90GB-plus 3D projects, edit 12K 4:2:2 video, generate 4K AI video clips, and run language models up to around 120 billion parameters with very long context windows directly on the device.

NVIDIA RTX Spark: real-world use cases

The RTX Spark essentially pulls together everything Nvidia has been building for years into a single Windows chip. It brings CUDA cores for heavy computing capabilities, RTX ray tracing, DLSS 4.5 upscaling, TensorRT for AI workloads, and OptiX for rendering into one platform that laptop makers can drop into slim machines.

On top of that, Nvidia and Microsoft are adding new security features and the OpenShell runtime so Windows AI "agents" can run directly on the device, automate tasks across apps, search through your files, and still keep more of your data private.

For gaming, Nvidia says RTX Spark laptops can handle modern AAA games at 1440p and over 100fps with ray tracing turned on, helped by DLSS and Reflex, which puts them closer to mid-tier RTX 5060-5070 series systems than the usual low-power ultrabooks.

For creators, Adobe is rebuilding parts of Premiere and Photoshop to tap into RTX Spark's GPU and unified memory, with both companies promising up to 2x faster AI features, editing, and effects in supported workflows.

Where does the Spark fit in?

In the AI PC space, RTX Spark targets the same buyers who are looking at Snapdragon X-powered Copilot+ laptops and Apple's M‑series MacBooks. Qualcomm's Snapdragon X chips have built their reputation on battery life, while Apple's M‑series silicon has shown how much performance you can squeeze into a thin, quiet machine without compromising power efficiency. Nvidia is trying to do both of those things at once and then add proper RTX gaming on top.

RTX Spark promises the same kind of all-day battery life you normally associate with Arm laptops while still targeting 1440p, 100fps gaming and heavy creator workloads. That's something neither Snapdragon X laptops nor current M‑series MacBooks can really match, especially when it comes to ray‑traced gaming with DLSS support. With Microsoft cleaning up the Windows side and Nvidia bringing its full RTX and CUDA ecosystem to Spark, this could shape up to be a rare combination: a power‑efficient, very fast, and gaming‑capable Windows chipset that still fits into thin‑and‑light designs.

Nvidia and its partners are clearly treating RTX Spark machines as premium products. Microsoft's first Spark laptop, the Surface Laptop Ultra, is touted as its most powerful Surface yet and that implies a premium price. Other launches from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI should also sit in the same high-end space, with options for more unified memory and fancy OLED or mini‑LED screens.

So RTX Spark laptops and desktops won't be cheap or budget-friendly. They're aimed at early adopters, creators, and gamers who are willing to pay for one machine that offers a one-pot solution for all use cases.

RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops are expected to go on sale between September and November globally, from brands like ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface and MSI, with models from Acer and GIGABYTE coming later.

POCO C85 and C81 series become up to Rs 1,000 more expensive after the latest price revision

The POCO C85, C81, and C81x have received price hikes today, making these phones expensive by up to Rs 1,000.

This comes in as part of a document released by POCO, which notifies retailers about the price hikes on the POCO C85 5G, POCO C81, and POCO C81x. Just a couple of weeks back, the POCO mid-premium POCO X8 Pro series and M8 saw a price increase of up to Rs 3,000 across all memory variants.

Prices of budget POCO smartphones hiked

The POCO C-series smartphones that see a price revision are as follows:

Variant

Old price

New price

POCO C85 5G

4GB + 128GB

Rs 14,999

Rs 15,499

6GB + 128GB

Rs 16,499

Rs 16,999

8GB + 128GB

Rs 17,999

Rs 18,499

POCO C81

4GB + 64GB

Rs 10,999

Rs 11,999

POCO C81x

3GB+ 64GB

Rs 9,999

Rs 10,999

*Price hike as of June 1st, 2026.

All the memory variants of the POCO C85 5G have been bumped up by Rs 500, while the POCO C81 and C81x see a hike of Rs 1,000 each. Even though the price increase isn't much, it certainly sets a precedent that budget and midrange smartphones are heavily affected by the price hikes due to memory shortages, as we've previously seen with Redmi, Realme, OPPO, and other smartphones.

With the POCO C85 now selling for Rs 15,499, it goes directly against the Realme C83, which also carries the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, but a larger 7,000mAh battery compared to the 6,000mAh cell on the POCO C85. The POCO C81x, on the other hand, now competes with the HMD Vibe 2, which is a 5G phone and comes with 1GB more RAM.

That being said, if you're planning to buy either of these POCO smartphones, it's best to do so soon. Price hikes are likely to continue, and there's no telling when the next round of revisions will hit the market.

We're continuously monitoring price hikes from various brands.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro, Edge 70 Fusion, Moto G37 Power and more phones receive price hike in India

[highlights]

Motorola has hiked the prices of select Edge and G series models.

The recently launched Moto G37 Power has seen the biggest price hike.

The Edge 70 Pro is now costlier by Rs 1,000.

[/highlights]

Motorola has implemented significant price revisions across several of its smartphones in India, with some models seeing hikes of up to Rs 9,000. The revised prices affect devices across Motorola's budget, mid-range, and premium segments, including popular picks like the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Fusion. The price hike comes amid the ongoing crisis of higher component costs in the smartphone industry. This is also not the first price hike for Motorola phones.

Moto G37 Power sees the biggest price hike

Among the affected devices, the Moto G37 Power (review) has received the steepest price increase. The 4GB + 128GB variant has gone up from Rs 15,999 to Rs 21,999, while the 8GB + 128GB model now costs Rs 27,999 instead of its original Rs 18,999 launch price.

The Moto G37 Power stands out with its Dimensity 6400 chipset, clean software experience, and excellent 7,000mAh battery life. While the cameras can occasionally produce dull colours and the single OS upgrade feels limiting, especially now at its much higher price of RS 27,999. If you were considering this phone at its original price, the new price makes it less competitive, so consider waiting for sales or looking at alternatives.

The standard Moto G37 has also become significantly more expensive, rising from Rs 13,999 to Rs 18,999. Other G-series devices have received smaller but notable increases:

Model

Variant

Old price

New price

Moto G37 Power

4GB + 128GB

Rs 15,999

Rs 21,999

8GB + 128GB

Rs 18,999

Rs 27,999

Moto G67 Power

8GB + 128GB

Rs 20,999

Rs 22,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 22,999

Rs 27,999

Moto G37

4GB + 64GB

Rs 13,999

Rs 18,999

Moto G57 Power

8GB + 128GB

Rs 19,999

Rs 21,999

Moto G06 Power

4GB + 64GB

Rs 12,999

Rs 15,999

Motorola Edge 70 series prices revised upwards

Motorola's premium Edge 70 lineup has also been affected. The Edge 70 Fusion (review) has received hikes ranging between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000, depending on the variant.

We found the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to be a stylish and well-balanced mid-range smartphone with a slim design, vibrant curved display, reliable battery life, capable cameras, and clean software. While performance-focused users may find better alternatives, it remains a strong choice for those seeking a premium design and dependable everyday experience.

Variant

Old price

New price

8GB + 128GB

Rs 26,999

Rs 30,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 32,999

Rs 34,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 32,999

Rs 34,999

12GB + 512GB

Rs 35,999

Rs 38,999

Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Pro has seen a comparatively modest increase of Rs 1,000 across both variants. Is it still a good buy? The smartphone skips features like wireless charging, a telephoto camera, and longer software support, but makes up for it with a slim design, vibrant AMOLED display, large 6,500mAh battery, fast charging, and reliable performance. While rivals may offer better cameras or longevity, the Edge 70 Pro remains a strong option for users who prioritise design, battery life, and a smooth everyday experience.

Variant

Old price

New price

8GB + 256GB

Rs 38,999

Rs 39,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 41,999

Rs 42,999

The older Edge 60 Fusion has also received a price hike, moving from Rs 26,999 to Rs 29,999.

The revised pricing significantly changes Motorola's value proposition in certain segments. Buyers should carefully compare Motorola's revised prices against competing smartphones before making a purchase.

While Motorola continues to offer advantages such as near-stock Android, strong build quality, and large batteries, some of the revised prices place these devices in more competitive categories than they originally occupied. However, with every other brand hiking prices, the pricing categories are also getting automatically adjusted.

Nothing hikes prices of Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro again; now start from Rs 37,999

Nothing has hiked prices of the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro in India for the second time in two months, effective June 1. The Pro now starts at Rs 49,999, up Rs 10,000 from its March launch price.

The revision, confirmed via an official communication from the brand to offline retail stores, adds up to Rs 5,000 to the Pro and Rs 3,000 to the standard model, mirroring the scale of last month's hike almost exactly. The underlying cause is likely the same: rising global memory costs driven by the ongoing RAM and storage shortage, which has now forced virtually every major Android brand in India to revise prices upward this year.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro now starts at Rs 49,999

The Phone (4a) Pro sees a flat Rs 5,000 increase across all three variants, pushing the base model past the Rs 50,000 mark for the first time.
[Exclusive] OPPO Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, Reno 16 FS global variants detailed before debut

[highlights]

OPPO is expected to launch the Reno 16 series in India this July.

Our latest leak reveals three Reno 16 series models for the global launch.

The Reno 16 FS is a new addition to the lineup.

[/highlights]

Earlier this month, we reported that OPPO is preparing to launch the Reno 16 series in India this July. While the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro recently debuted in China, we can now reveal key specifications and official-looking renders of the global variants, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu. Both phones are expected to debut globally alongside a new Reno 16 FS model that is also expected to join the lineup.

OPPO Reno 16 Pro specs and design renders

The Reno 16 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.32-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a compact form factor weighing just 188g. Interestingly, the Reno 16 Pro in China has a larger 6.78-inch display. OPPO appears to be following the same strategy as the Reno 15 series, where it launched the Pro model as a compact option.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The standout feature could be its camera setup, comprising a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera with OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. A 50MP front camera handles selfies.

[gallery link="file" size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="703425,703426"]

The phone is also said to pack a large 6,700mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging. Other highlights include an aluminium frame, stereo speakers, NFC, and IP69 certification for dust and water resistance.

OPPO Reno 16: what to expect

The standard Reno 16 5G appears to retain much of the Pro model's design and camera hardware. It is expected to feature the same 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, albeit with a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 144Hz. The device will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging support.

[gallery link="file" size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="703421,703422"]

Camera specifications are similar to the Pro model, but with the main sensor being different. Instead of the powerful 200MP, the Reno 16 will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto shooter with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. A 50MP selfie camera is also expected. In comparison to the Reno 15 Pro, the camera setup is similar, but OPPO may add under-the-hood improvements.

Like the Pro model, the Reno 16 is tipped to offer an aluminium frame, IP69 rating, stereo speakers, and NFC support.

OPPO Reno 16 FS specifications

The Reno 16 FS is expected to be the most affordable model in the lineup. It is tipped to feature a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The rear camera setup is said to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 50MP selfie camera is expected here as well.

[gallery link="file" size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="703423,703424"]

The Reno 16 FS may house a 6,500mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging. While it swaps the aluminium frame for a plastic one, it still reportedly retains features such as IP69 protection, stereo speakers, and NFC.

All three phones will launch with Android 16-based ColorOS 16.1 out of the box. OPPO is reportedly promising five Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. We're also getting bigger batteries with the Reno 16 series compared to the Reno 15 lineup.

The Reno 16 Pro could appeal to users seeking a flagship-style photography experience in a compact form factor, while the Reno 16 looks positioned as a balanced all-rounder with premium cameras and a more mainstream chipset. Meanwhile, the Reno 16 FS could attract buyers looking for long battery life and telephoto photography at a more accessible price point.

With the India launch reportedly scheduled for July, pricing will ultimately determine how aggressively the Reno 16 series competes against rivals. Since nothing is official as of now, it's best to wait for more details before coming to buying decision. For users on a Reno 14 or older, the camera and performance upgrades on the Reno 16 Pro could be significant, but current Reno 15 users might find the changes more incremental.

Redmi Note 15 Pro, Redmi 15A and several other Redmi phones receive a price hike of up to Rs 4,500 since launch

The Redmi Note 15 Pro, Redmi 15A, and several Xiaomi phones have once again received a price hike.

Along with the Redmi Note 15 Pro, this round of price revisions mainly affects Redmi phones that were previously priced under Rs 15,000. Higher variants of these models now start above Rs 15,000.

Many Redmi phones get costlier

Here's a quick look at all the Redmi smartphones that received a price hike today.

Phone

Variant

Launch price

Revised price

Redmi Note 15 Pro

8GB + 256GB

Rs 31,999

Rs 34,999

Redmi 15A

4GB+ 64GB

Rs 12,999

Rs 14,999

4GB+ 128GB

Rs 14,499

Rs 15,999

6GB+ 128GB

Rs 16,499

Rs 17,999

Redmi 15C

4GB+ 128GB

Rs 12,499

Rs 16,999

6GB+ 128GB

Rs 13,999

Rs 18,999

8GB + 128GB

Rs 15,499

Rs 20,999

Redmi A7 4G

3GB + 64GB

Rs 10,499

Rs 11,499

Redmi A7 Pro 4G

4GB + 64GB

Rs 11,499

Rs 12,499

*Price hike as of June 1st, 2026.

The revised prices are effective starting today, i.e. June 1st. While the notice doesn't specify the reasons for the price increase, it is likely due to the ongoing industry-wide memory shortages and rising component costs.

What was previously the Redmi 15's territory, the Redmi 15A's base 4GB + 64GB variant now starts at Rs 14,999, while the Redmi 15C starts at Rs 16,999, making it Rs 4,500 more expensive since its launch. The recently launched Redmi A7 4G and Redmi A7 Pro 4G also see a price hike of Rs 1,000 each.

Interestingly, the Redmi Note 15 Pro's base 8GB + 128GB model's price remains unchanged at Rs 31,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant has been bumped up by Rs 3,000. Since prices are likely to keep rising over the next few months, it's advisable to buy these devices now before they become even more expensive.

On the other hand, POCO, Motorola, Nothing, and several other brands have also announced price hikes across their smartphones today. This situation is particularly concerning for budget-conscious buyers, especially those who need a phone urgently. What's worse is that even phones launched just 6 to 8 months ago are seeing price increases, making it harder to find older models at lower prices, a strategy that used to work well in the past.

We're continuously monitoring price hikes from various brands. Click here to see the complete list of phones that have received a price increase.

Philips launches new soundbar lineup in India with up to 600W, 5.1‑channel surround sound: check prices, features

Philips launches six new soundbars in India, offering 2.1 and 5.1 Dolby systems with up to 600W output for more cinematic TV, movies and gaming.

[highlights]

Philips' new soundbar lineup in India includes 2.1 and 5.1 home theatre options

The range delivers up to 600W output with Dolby audio and multiple connectivity ports

The lineup currently starts around Rs 3,499 on Flipkart and goes up to Rs 11,999

[/highlights]

Philips' new soundbar lineup in India is ideal buyers who want a more cinematic, bass‑rich home theatre experience without jumping to a full AV receiver setup. The six‑model range covers everything from compact 2.1 systems for small living rooms and bedrooms to a 600W 5.1 surround package for dedicated TV rooms. You get options across different power levels and subwoofer sizes, which makes the series ideal for movie and sports fans, console gamers and anyone looking to upgrade from built‑in TV speakers.

New Philips soundbar lineup: features, specifications

The Philips TAB4361/94 sits in the middle with 160W of max output and a 5.5‑inch subwoofer. It caters to users who want a fuller, room‑filling sound than the 100W model but do not necessarily need the extra Dolby processing or higher wattage of the top‑end bars.

For larger living rooms, Philips offers the TAB4230/94, which pushes output to 300W and pairs Dolby Audio with a larger 6‑inch subwoofer. This combination should deliver deeper, more physical bass for action movies and music, making it a better fit for open spaces or homes where the TV is the main entertainment hub.

At the top of the 2.1 range is the TAB5341/94, rated at 400W with an 8‑inch subwoofer and Dolby Audio. This device is the flagship 2.1 soundbar at Rs 29,999 and it targets users who want a near home‑theatre‑level impact from just a bar and sub, with enough power for louder movie nights and bigger rooms.

For those who want true surround sound, Philips has introduced the TAB5651/94, a 5.1‑channel system rated at 600W of max output. It includes an 8‑inch wired subwoofer and multiple satellite speakers, alongside Dolby Digital decoding, to create a more directional audio field where effects can move around the room.

This makes it better suited for users building a dedicated home-theatre setup, where rear and side channels can be placed around the seating area for a more immersive experience in movies, sports and games. With the same full set of connectivity ports as the 2.1 models, the 5.1 channel system is ideal for modern TVs and consoles while still feeling like an upgrade from basic bar‑only systems.

Price and availability

Philips is positioning this new soundbar lineup as an upgrade from basic TV speakers and budget soundbars, while still staying in the affordable bracket. On Flipkart, the TAB4301/94 currently starts around Rs 3,499, and the flagship 600W TAB5651/94 is listed at about Rs 11,999, with other models like the TAB4230/94 and TAB5341/94 sitting in the Rs 7,999–8,499 range. Philips hasn't announced special launch offers, so these Flipkart listings appear to be ongoing marketplace discounts rather than limited‑time promo pricing.

At the lower end of the price band, Philips 2.1 models will compete against popular budget soundbars from brands like boAt, Zebronics, GOVO and Boult, which focus on loud, bass-heavy sound and aggressive pricing. Here, Philips is likely relying on its brand value, Dolby support on select models and consistent connectivity options like HDMI ARC, Optical and Bluetooth to appeal to buyers who want a more reliable upgrade over TV speakers without spending too much.

At the top-end, the 5.1‑channel system TAB5651/94 competes with similar 5.1 channel systems in the Rs 10,000–15,000 range from brands such as Sony and Zebronics that also promise surround sound and around 600W of output. Philips' angle here is to offer a full satellite‑speaker surround package with Dolby Digital at a relatively accessible online price, making it an attractive option for users who want a branded home‑theatre‑style setup without jumping to much more expensive premium bars and AV receiver kits.

[highlights]

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ India launch is set for June 4th.

The smartphone is launching as the most premium phone in the lineup.

It's confirmed to feature a 3.5x periscope lens.

[/highlights]

Motorola's upcoming Edge 70 Pro+ is launching in India later this week as a new premium mind-range phone. The Edge 70 Pro+ will sit at the top of Motorola's Edge 70 lineup, which already includes the Edge 70 Fusion and Edge 70 Pro. The new model is slated to bring several upgrades, particularly in cameras. Motorola has already confirmed that the device will launch in India on June 4th and will be available via Flipkart, Motorola India, and select retail stores.

Ahead of its scheduled India launch, a new leak suggests the expected pricing of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. Here are the details.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ India pricing details

The handset could be priced at Rs 47,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, according to tipster Sanju on X. If accurate, this would positionin the phone in the increasingly competitive premium mid-range segment. It wouldn't be surprising though if the leaked pricing comes out true as the Edge 70 Pro also starts at Rs 38,999, and the Pro+ model would naturally be more expensive.

This also suggests the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ could launch with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage as the base memory configuration. For context, the Edge 70 Pro is offered in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ specifications

On the specifications front, the Edge 70 Pro+ will feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This is the same chipset as the Edge 70 Pro, which is already known to offer one of the best performances in the segment.

The camera setup appears to be one of the phone's biggest highlights. The handset is confirmed to feature a triple rear camera system comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The periscope camer would be an advantage here for the Edge 70 Pro+ among its peers, for zoom photography and portraits. For selfies and video calls, Motorola is including a 50MP front camera with autofocus support.

Like the Edge 70 Pro, the Pro+ will also pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. This battery capacity should provide a day's usage comfortably and even more with light activites.

If the leaked Rs 47,999 price turns out to be accurate, Motorola could have a compelling option for buyers seeking a premium and stylish Android phone with a flagship-like experience. The Edge 70 Pro+ appears aimed at users who prioritise photography, premium design and dependable performance and battery life. Buyers focused primarily on gaming performance may still find alternatives from iQOO and OnePlus attractive, but the Edge 70 Pro+ seems like a better well-rounded option. We should still wait for the official details and then reviews, to see how the Edge 70 Pro+ compares with rivals.
