OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: which compact phone is the right fit for you?

The OPPO Reno 16 has officially arrived in India, entering the premium mid-range segment with its compact design, flagship-grade cameras, and heavy emphasis on AI. However, navigating this price bracket has become increasingly tricky for buyers due to recent market-wide price hikes. To see how it holds up against the competition and determine which phone truly offers the best value, we pit the new OPPO Reno 16 against one of the segment's most popular contenders: the Vivo V70 Elite.

OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: price in India

The OPPO Reno 16 starts at Rs 61,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Vivo V70 Elite (review) is priced at Rs 58,999 for the same memory configuration. Both phones come in two variants with the same RAM and storage units. Just based on pricing, we can say that the Vivo V70 Elite has an advantage here, and this is also after multiple price hikes.

Variant

OPPO Reno 16 price

Vivo V70 Elite price

8GB + 256GB

Rs 61,999

Rs 58,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 67,999

Rs 63,999

OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: display, design

Both the OPPO Reno 16 and Vivo V70 Elite are among the pretty-looking phones with a compact form factor. The Reno 16 is more compact with a smaller 6.32-inch display, and has a striking design, especially the Starry White variant. This is OPPO's exclusive HoloVerse 3D technology that gives a special 3D effect when holding the phone from different angles. The smartphone also comes in Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple colour variants.

The Reno 16 is also quite durable with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for dust and water resistance. On the front, it uses the proprietary OPPO Crystal Shield Glass for protection. It's a 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,600 nits of peak brightness on the Reno 16.

The Vivo V70 Elite has a slightly larger 6.59-inch display, which still feels compact. It's a sweet spot for those who don't want a small phone but don't like the large form factors either. The V70 Elite's 6.59-inch display has a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a claimed peak brightness of 5,000 nits. In terms of durability, the smartphone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings. Design-wise, the Vivo V70 Elite is more minimalist and comes in three colour options: Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black.

Here, the choice relies mainly on which form factor you prefer. While the Vivo V70 Elite offers a brighter display, the Reno 16 is more durable.
[caption id="attachment_690932" align="alignnone" width="960"] Vivo V70 Elite[/caption]
OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: cameras

Cameras are where both phones stand out in this segment. With the OPPO Reno 16, you get an entire stack of 50MP sensors. The setup includes a 50MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3.5x telephoto, and 50MP selfie. Vivo has also added features such as ‘Dual Flash System' for brighter shots in low-light conditions, AI Remix Collage, Pop Cam, Popout 2.0, and Dual-View Video 2.0.

In comparison, the Vivo V70 Elite offers a ZEISS-branded triple-camera system headlined by a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, you get a 50MP front camera. Vivo also has a dedicated set of AI features, such as AI Audio Noise Eraser, AI Floral Blessing, Wedding Styles, AI Magic Weather, and AI Magic Landscape. You also get ZEISS 85mm and 100mm focal lengths for portraits.

Considering only the specifications, the Reno 16 has a superior ultra-wide camera and slightly better optical zoom than the V70 Elite. However, the differences may not be too dramatic, and each phone would hold its own when it comes to photography.

OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: chipset, battery

The Reno 16 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Vivo V70 Elite uses a faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This means that the V70 Elite would be more dependable when it comes to performance, especially with intensive tasks and long gaming sessions. The Reno 16 should still be capable of handling regular to moderate tasks.

On the battery front, the Reno 16 packs a 6,700mAh battery paired with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The Vivo V70 Elite counters with a slightly smaller 6,500mAh cell, though it edges ahead in top-up speeds with 90W charging. While both smartphones should effortlessly breeze through a full day of moderate-to-heavy usage, real-world endurance will ultimately come down to how well each brand's software optimization handles power consumption.

OPPO Reno 16 vs Vivo V70 Elite: software

On the software front, the Reno 16 runs ColorOS 16.1 with Android 16 out of the box. It brings AI features such as Mind Pilot, a unified assistant that combines Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT for optimised query responses. There's an AI Bill Manager that automatically logs and categorises expenses from receipts or voice notes using real-time currency conversion. The Reno 16 also boasts a strong software update policy with 5 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches. However, it's worth mentioning that the Reno 16 has 72 pre-installed apps, one of the highest in the segment, which may make the UI feel cluttered at first glance.

The Vivo V70 Elite ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Similar to ColorOS, OriginOS 6 is also highly customisable with useful features such as the OriginIsland to show the currently playing song, stopwatch, or timer status, and more. You also get a revamped control centre, lockscreen customisation, and Flip Cards that let you easily change wallpapers. OriginOS 6 also brings AI features such as AI Search, AI Creation, and AI Captions.

In terms of software support, you get 4 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches, so that's one less Android version on the V70 Elite.

Both phones offer a rich software experience, so the ultimate decision might lie in personal preference. The Reno 16 has a slight advantage with one more OS upgrade.

Summing up

Based on this comparison, the OPPO Reno 16 is recommended to those who want a compact and premium design with flagship-grade cameras and lots of AI to tinker with. The Vivo V70 Elite is the more affordable option, though, with a faster chipset and ZEISS-branded cameras for those who prefer that. So, the decision depends on your priorities as both phones manage to deliver in all key areas.

Dell launches Alienware 15 in India with NVIDIA RTX 3050 and NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPUs

Dell launches the Alienware 15 in India with Ryzen 7 260, RTX 4050 graphics, a 165Hz display and a starting price of Rs 1,15,990.

[highlights]

Dell launches the Alienware 15 in India as its most accessible Alienware gaming laptop.

The laptop offers Ryzen 7 260 and Ryzen 5 220 options with RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 graphics.

Pre-orders begin on July 2, with prices starting at Rs 1,15,990.

[/highlights]

Dell has launched the new Alienware 15 in India, which targets gamers who want Alienware's premium build and performance at a more accessible price point. The laptop is designed for users who care about gaming, but also want a machine that can handle everyday work, study and entertainment without feeling too bulky or overcomplicated. Let's take a closer look at its features below.

Dell Alienware 15: features, specifications

The latest laptop comes with AMD Ryzen 7 260 and Ryzen 5 220 processor options, along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 graphics. Dell says more powerful configurations with Intel Core 7 and RTX 5060 graphics will arrive later this month, giving buyers more choice across different price points.

The brand has also focused on design and durability and the Alienware 15 uses a Nova Black finish with a polycarbonate resin body, along with a 180-degree hinge that should make it easier to use in different settings. Dell claims the laptop has also been tested for spills and drops, which should help it handle daily use better than a typical gaming machine.

The thermal system is another important part of the package. Alienware Cryo-tech is designed to keep temperatures under control during gaming, streaming and multitasking, which should help the laptop hold performance for longer sessions. That matters for gamers who want stable output instead of short bursts of speed followed by throttling.

Dell has fitted the Alienware 15 with a 15.3-inch WUXGA panel, a 165Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness, which is decent for the price segment. The laptop also includes a 720p webcam, dual-array microphones, a white-backlit keyboard and a multitouch touchpad with integrated scrolling.

The new Alienware 15 starts at Rs 1,15,990, and pre-orders begin on July 2, 2026. The laptop will be sold through Dell.com, Dell Exclusive Stores, Amazon and Flipkart, with launch offers including cashback, EMI options and bundled deals on accessories.

Where does it fit?

The Alienware 15 sits in an tricky spot based on its pricing. It is not meant to be the cheapest gaming laptop on the shelf, but it also does not aim for the very top end of the market. With a starting price of Rs 1,15,990, it ends up costing more than many Lenovo LOQ and ASUS TUF options that offer similar RTX 4050 GPUs, which makes those machines look more value-focused for buyers who only care about performance per rupee.

Machines like the Lenovo LOQ with RTX 4050 are listed around Rs 92,990–Rs99,990, while some ASUS TUF Gaming F15 RTX 4050 variants sit close to Rs 1,21,990 depending on configuration.

Dell, via the Alienware name, is clearly trying to sell more than just specs. Dell is banking on the premium Alienware name, stronger build quality and better thermal design to justify the higher price. So in simple terms, the Alienware 15 makes sense for someone who wants a proper gaming laptop with a premium feel and is willing to pay a bit more for the brand and the experience.

If someone only wants the best value, Lenovo LOQ and ASUS TUF still look like the smarter picks. But if they want Alienware's design, cooling and overall identity, this new model gives them a more reachable entry point.

The special edition smartphone will be launched alongside the standard Nothing Phone 4b to celebrate RCB's back-to-back IPL title wins in 2025 and 2026. Nothing was the title sponsor for the Bengaluru IPL team this year.

Unlike previous special editions, the Phone 4b RCB Edition will not see a wider retail release. Instead, it will be available only through a one-day sale at the Nothing Bengaluru Store on July 7th. The standard Nothing Phone 4b will also make its global debut the same day at 3.30 pm IST.

Nothing Phone 4b RCB edition: design and how to get

Nothing has shared official images showing the phone in a matte red finish with an engraved RCB lion logo on the back panel. The industrial design language remains intact, but the rear panel adopts RCB-inspired red accents, making it visually distinct from the standard model, which will come in white, blue and black colour options.

The special edition will go on sale only at the Nothing Bengaluru Store on July 7th. Doors open at 4 PM IST, and the phone will be sold in extremely limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis. Nothing has not announced any online availability.

The reveal follows an earlier teaser featuring RCB players Krunal Pandya, Tim David and Romario Shepherd, who hinted at the phone's redesigned rear panel. While Nothing has not confirmed whether the package includes exclusive accessories or software customisations, limited-edition smartphones often bundle special wallpapers, packaging or collectible items.

Nothing Phone 4b specifications and features

The Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition is expected to retain the same hardware as the regular Phone 4b. Nothing has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon processor, while promising improved efficiency and on-device AI capabilities.

Leaks suggest the Phone 4b could feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, Glyph Interface and the Essential Key. Other expected specifications include up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 16MP front camera, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The global variant is tipped to pack a smaller battery due to regional regulations.

Nothing Phone 4b India price

Nothing is yet to announce the Phone 4b's India price. However, leaks suggest the smartphone could be priced above Rs 30,000. If that happens, it is expected to compete with devices such as the OnePlus Nord CE series, Motorola Edge series and Redmi Note 15 Pro. While rival phones may offer stronger performance or faster charging in some cases, Nothing is likely to differentiate itself through its software experience, distinctive design and long-term brand appeal.

Those looking for the best value-to-performance ratio may want to wait for reviews of the standard Phone 4b before making a purchase. However, RCB supporters and collectors may find the limited-edition model appealing given its exclusive design and one-day availability.

iPad prices are up 25–40%. Are Android tablets next?

iPad prices in India jumped up to 40% overnight due to the global memory chip crunch. Android tablets are next in line, and Samsung Galaxy Tabs may not be far behind.

Apple recently hiked the prices of its iPads and MacBooks due to the global memory supply crunch caused by AI data centres. That's right, it's no longer just smartphones that are being affected by this crisis. Interestingly, Apple has yet to raise the prices of its iPhones, while Android OEMs like Samsung and OnePlus have yet to raise the prices of their tablets. So, while this might be the best time to buy the iPhone, it is also the best time to buy an Android tablet like the Galaxy Tab S11 or the OnePlus Pad 4 before the inevitable happens.

The global memory and storage crunch that has been quietly reshaping consumer electronics pricing all year has now hit tablets in a significant way. Apple raised prices across its entire iPad lineup in India, with increases ranging from 25% on the base iPad to nearly 40% on the iPad Air, and the underlying cause has nothing to do with new features or product refreshes. It is the same AI-driven demand surge for NAND flash and RAM that has already pushed up smartphone prices multiple times this year.

Apple's recent price hike

Apple's revised iPad prices went live on its official India store recently, and the numbers are stark. The iPad 11th Gen has gone from Rs 39,900 to Rs 49,900, a Rs 10,000 increase overnight. The iPad Mini jumped from Rs 49,900 to Rs 69,900. The iPad Air moved from Rs 64,900 to Rs 89,900. The iPad Pro, already the most expensive option, climbed from Rs 99,900 to Rs 1,39,900.

iPads

New Price

Old Price

iPad 11th Gen

Rs 49,900

Rs 39,900

iPad Mini

Rs 69,900

Rs 49,900

iPad Air

Rs 89,900

Rs 64,900

iPad Pro

Rs 1,39,900

Rs 99,900

Apple has explicitly said that the increases are driven by rising costs of memory and storage components, describing the current situation as "unprecedented". The rapid expansion of AI data centres has created a surge in NAND flash and RAM demand that the supply chain simply has not caught up with, and device manufacturers are passing those costs downstream.

Crucially, this is not an Apple-specific problem. Smartphone brands have already raised prices multiple times since the start of 2026 for the same reason. Tablets were next in line, and Apple, which sources large volumes of high-grade memory for its devices, has moved first.

Where Android tablets stand right now

Android OEMs are yet to make a major move in the tablet space. While Xiaomi did increase the price of its Pad 8 by Rs 2,000 a couple of weeks ago, brands like OnePlus have not. Samsung, currently the largest Android tablet maker in India, has also not raised prices on its Galaxy Tab lineup. That gap between Samsung and Apple pricing, already meaningful before these hikes, has now widened considerably.

The Tab S10 FE starts at Rs 46,999, compared to an iPad Air that now starts at Rs 89,900. The Tab S10 Lite at Rs 34,999 sits well below the newly priced iPad 11th Gen at Rs 49,900. Even at the premium end, the Tab S11 Ultra at Rs 1,19,999 undercuts the iPad Pro's new Rs 1,39,900 entry point by a meaningful margin.

Samsung Galaxy Tab

Current Price

Comparable iPad

Current Price

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite

Rs 34,999

iPad 11th Gen

Rs 49,900

Galaxy Tab S10 FE

Rs 46,999

iPad Air 11"

Rs 89,900

Galaxy Tab S11

Rs 86,999

iPad Pro 11"

Rs 1,39,900

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

Rs 1,19,999

iPad Pro 13"

Rs 1,39,900

To be clear, price alone does not make a tablet better. The iPad Pro is an excellent flagship device for certain professional workflows, and iPadOS has genuine productivity advantages that Android tablets are still closing the gap on. But for a large segment of Indian buyers, such as students, content consumers, and working professionals who don't live inside the Apple ecosystem, the value equation has shifted sharply in Samsung's favour now.

Will Samsung hike its tablet prices?

Samsung has not announced any price increases yet. But the memory and storage components that go into Galaxy Tabs are sourced from the same global supply chain that has pushed Apple to act. The cost pressures that moved iPad prices 25–40% overnight are not unique to Apple; they are structural, industry-wide, and ongoing.

Samsung might pull the trigger sooner or later, so if you've been looking for a Galaxy Tab, the best time to pick one up is right now. Every month that passes without a price revision on Galaxy Tabs is, in effect, a window that may not stay open indefinitely.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available at a Rs 45,000 discount in the Amazon Prime Day sale: should you buy?

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is receiving one of its largest offers ever in the upcoming Amazon Prime Day sale. Here's what we think of the deal.

[highlights]

The Amazon Prime Day sale run from July 4th till July 6th.

Other phones from last year's S25 series are also getting hefty discounts.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be available at a discount of Rs 50,000 in the sales.

[/highlights]

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to be available at its lowest price since launch during the upcoming Amazon Prime Day sale that starts on July 4th. Launched in India at Rs 1,29,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB model in January 2025, Samsung's premium flagship will be available for Rs 84,999 during the sale, making it one of the biggest discounts seen on an Ultra smartphone.

While the star deal is certainly on the S25 Ultra, Samsung is also offering discounts across its smartphone portfolio, giving buyers several options across price segments.

Samsung deals in Amazon and Flipkart sales

Phone

Launch price

Deal price

Galaxy S25 Ultra

Rs 1,29,999

Rs 84,999

Galaxy S25 Edge

Rs 1,09,990

Rs 59,999

Galaxy S25

Rs 80,999

Rs 56,999

Galaxy S25 FE

Rs 59,999

Rs 47,999

Galaxy S25+

Rs 99,999

Rs 67,999

Galaxy M06 5G

Rs 9,499

Rs 10,999

Galaxy F70e

Rs 12,999

Rs 12,499

Galaxy M17

Rs 12,499

Rs 13,999

Galaxy M56

Rs 27,999

Rs 23,499

Galaxy A56

Rs 34,999

Rs 30,999

Galaxy M47

Rs 25,999

Rs 22,999

Galaxy M36/F36

Rs 16,499

Rs 17,999

Some deal prices are more than actual launch prices. That's because of price hikes post launch by the company, presumably due to the ongoing RAM crisis. Prices include bank offers and/or coupon discounts.

Should you buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra?

The Galaxy S25 Ultra remains a feature-packed flagship despite being over a year old. It comes with a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also packs a 200MP primary camera, a new 50MP ultrawide camera, dual telephoto sensors, a built-in S Pen, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 7 support, Samsung DeX, and seven years of Android OS and security updates.

For buyers shopping in the premium segment, this is arguably one of the strongest flagship deals available today. Although the Galaxy S25 Ultra is no longer Samsung's newest Ultra phone, its hardware remains highly competitive, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite continues to deliver flagship-level performance for gaming, photography, AI features, and everyday use, despite having a successor.

More importantly, Samsung's promise of seven years of software updates means the phone still has a long life ahead. That makes the effective value proposition much stronger than many newer devices.

The timing of this discount is also important as premium smartphone prices have steadily climbed over the past year. Newer Android flagships such as the Vivo X300 FE, OPPO Find X9, and Xiaomi 17 are selling around the same price bracket. In many cases, buyers are paying more while getting fewer upgrades than previous generations.

At Rs 84,999, the Galaxy S25 Ultra undercuts many current flagship phones while offering flagship cameras, premium build quality, an integrated S Pen, and long-term software support. If you typically keep your phone for four to six years, this deal is difficult to overlook. Rather than chasing the latest hardware every year, picking up a proven flagship at a steep discount could prove to be the smarter long-term purchase, especially at a time when premium smartphones continue to become more expensive.

Marshall Milton ANC headphones launched in India with adaptive ANC, up to 80-hour battery life

Marshall has launched a new pair of on-ear headphones in India called the Marshall Milton ANC. Here are its price and features.

[highlights]

Marshall Milton ANC headphones have launched in India at Rs 19,999 with adaptive ANC and Bluetooth 6.0 support.

The headphones are claimed to offer up to 80 hours of battery life without ANC and over 50 hours with ANC enabled.

Features include 32 mm drivers, Hi-Res Audio support, LDAC codec, a replaceable battery and a customisable M-button.

[/highlights]

Marshall has launched its new Milton ANC wireless on-ear headphones in India. The new model brings adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), support for Hi-Res Audio and a claimed battery life of up to 80 hours on a single charge without ANC. It also introduces Bluetooth 6.0, Soundstage spatial audio and a replaceable battery, features that are still uncommon in this price segment.

The Marshall Milton ANC goes on sale in India from July 2nd for buyers looking for a premium wireless audio experience with a focus on long battery life and Marshall branding.

Marshall Milton ANC headphones key features

The Marshall Milton ANC is equipped with 32 mm dynamic drivers and supports Hi-Res Audio with SBC, AAC, LC3 and LDAC codecs. It also supports Soundstage spatial audio through the Marshall Bluetooth app, allowing users to customise their listening experience.

For connectivity, the headphones support Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio, Bluetooth Multipoint for connecting to two devices simultaneously, and a USB Type-C to 3.5 mm wired connection. Marshall has also included support for over-the-air software updates through its companion app.

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights. Marshall claims the headphones can deliver up to 80 hours of playback with ANC turned off or more than 50 hours with ANC enabled. A 15-minute charge is said to provide up to 9.5 hours of playback, while a full charge takes around two hours. The headphones also feature Battery Preservation technology and a user-replaceable battery, which could help extend their lifespan.

The Milton ANC weighs 200 gms and comes with a foldable on-ear design, memory foam ear cushions, textured TPU earcups, powder-coated metal arms and Marshall's signature brass accents. Users also get a customisable M-button for media controls, volume adjustment and call management, while six microphones handle voice calls and noise cancellation.

Price and India availability

The Marshall Milton ANC is priced at Rs 19,999 and is available in a single Black colour option. It will be sold through Marshall's official website, major online shopping platforms and leading retail stores across India starting July 2nd. Among its recent competitors are Sony ULT WEAR WH-ULT900N, Beats Solo 4, and Sennheiser Accentum Plus. Out of these, only the Sony ULT WEAR and Sennheiser Accentum Plus are over-ear options, while the other two are on-ear like the Marshall Milton. The latter has the longest battery life but its drivers are smaller compared to the other three. The Milton ANC stands out with its distinctive retro styling, Bluetooth 6.0 support, replaceable battery and long battery life. Buyers who prioritise comfort for extended listening sessions may still want to compare the on-ear design with over-ear alternatives before making a purchase.

The Milton ANC also strengthens Marshall's premium audio lineup in India, where the brand has largely focused on speakers and wireless earbuds. By combining its signature design with features like adaptive ANC and long battery life, Marshall appears to be targeting buyers who value style and brand identity as much as audio performance in the premium wireless headphone segment.

Tata Sierra EV is India’s first car to get Dolby Atmos via wireless Apple CarPlay

The Tata Sierra EV is back from Rs 18.79 lakh! Packed with a 530km range, true 5.1 Dolby Atmos, and a 306hp AWD layout, here is our ultimate tech deep dive.

Re-launching an icon and doing it right is what Tata has done with the Sierra EV. Prices start at an aggressive introductory tag of Rs 18.79 lakh ex-showroom for the base 63 kWh model and climb up to Rs 25.99 lakh ex-showroom for the 75 kWh top-spec all-wheel-drive performance variant. The Sierra EV pulls no punches when it comes to cutting-edge tech either. It is the first car in India where Dolby Atmos content can be streamed wirelessly over Apple CarPlay and actually rendered as 5.1 Dolby Atmos, rather than folded down to a stereo presentation distributed across multiple speakers. That distinction is easy to miss since several Indian cars already wear the "Dolby Atmos" badge, including models from Mahindra, Mercedes, Maruti and Tata's own ICE-powered Sierra, which got the same 12-speaker JBL Black system back in November 2025.

But instead of relying on native apps that require logins via the car's media system, the Sierra EV does so through Dolby's DCX 2 platform, the automotive counterpart to the CarPlay SDK. Apple built this specifically to carry genuine Dolby Atmos metadata from phone to car. It's a two-ended system where Apple supplies the transport and DCX 2 supplies the in-car rendering. Skip that renderer and what you get over CarPlay is merely Apple's "Spatial Audio", a broader, looser term for any immersive processing, not the studio-approved Dolby Atmos mix that the artist signed off on.

[gallery link="file" columns="2" size="medium" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="706904,706905"]

The Sierra EV supports four Dolby Atmos-certified sources: Apple Music, Amazon Music, Gaana, and Audible, accessible straight off CarPlay once your smartphone is paired. Of these, Gaana and Amazon Music are particularly big India-focused wins that aren't available anywhere else. Supporting that signal is a 12-speaker JBL Black array, Harman's premium automotive tier, split across four door speakers, four A- and B-pillar units, a boot-mounted subwoofer, and a two-speaker SonicShaft sound bar set within the dashboard beneath the AC vents. The centre channel anchors the image with vocals while the pillar-mounted drivers build height and width.

But the Sierra EV has more tech tricks up its sleeve. Here are the eight top ones:

Power and Acceleration

The flagship performance version features a dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive layout churning out 306hp and a massive 504Nm of peak torque. Engaging Boost Mode unleashes all the available power to rocket the mid-size SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in a sportscar-like 5.8 seconds, paired with six selectable terrain modes for off-road capability.

540-Degree Camera with Park Assist

Manoeuvring this mid-size SUV in cramped urban spaces is simplified via an advanced 540-degree high-definition camera network. The system features a unique transparent underbody mode, giving drivers a clear view of obstacles beneath the vehicle, a trick borrowed from big brother Range Rover models. It works alongside an automated park assist suite containing summon and reverse assistance features for stress-free parking.

Charging Speeds

When plugged into a 120kW DC fast charger, the Sierra EV can juice its battery from 20 to 80% in just 26 minutes. For quick highway top-ups, the system supports high-rate charging that adds 263 km of range in 15 minutes. Home charging uses a 7.2kW AC wall box taking roughly 10.5 hours. In real-world highway and urban conditions, expect a realistic driving range of 510 to 530 km on a single charge.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Safety is anchored by a comprehensive Level 2+ ADAS suite designed to tackle chaotic Indian traffic conditions. This proactive setup integrates smart features like an augmented-reality-enabled head-up display, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. It combines this with structural safety, six standard airbags, and frequency-dependent dampers to offer stable and secure high-speed highway cruising.

V2L and V2V Charging

Emphasising its role as a mobile powerhouse, the Sierra EV includes bidirectional charging features out of the box. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) lets you power external electrical appliances directly from the vehicle's charge port during camping trips. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) allows the car to bail out stranded electric vehicles by sharing its own battery power at 5kVA.

DrivePay (ToneTag Payments)

The Sierra EV introduces DrivePay, an on-the-go payment system operated directly from the central infotainment screen. Developed using UPI frameworks and leveraging ToneTag sound-wave technology, it allows you to authorise merchant transactions on the move via voice navigation. Whether you are clearing toll bills or paying for a public fast-charging session, it is authenticated securely through an NPCI-linked digital platform. What this really means is no more pulling out your smartphone or launching individual apps at a busy charging station; your vehicle handles the financial transfer entirely from the dashboard.

AirConsole In-Car Gaming

The cabin entertainment moves way past basic video streaming into interactive engagement. Debuting AirConsole, the Sierra EV marks India's first natively integrated in-car gaming console housed inside the 30-plus app Arcade.ev suite. While the vehicle is stationary or hooked up to a charger, occupants simply scan a screen code to turn their personal smartphones into wireless controllers. The system accommodates friendly multiplayer competition using the central and passenger displays, running curated titles like Mattel's UNO and Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Android Auto EV Route Planner

Range anxiety gets a massive reality check with India's first vehicle implementation of the Google EV Route Planner over wireless Android Auto. Instead of forcing you to guess power consumption, Google Maps syncs directly with the Sierra's live battery telemetry. When mapping out long-distance road trips to destinations like Satara, the screen layout instantly projects exact toll road costs, your state-of-charge percentage upon arrival, and your remaining battery for the return leg. It removes the guesswork from highway touring by managing your active range, making interstate drives genuinely predictable.

We are excited to bring this exclusive experience to gaming fans and players across India," said Vineet Gehani, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India.

Internally, the laptop packs an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor with 16 cores, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM. Customers can choose a display option that goes up to a 2.5K resolution panel paired with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time. These specs are well-suited to the fast-paced, precise nature of VALORANT and other competitive games.

The HyperAction keyboard features an 8000Hz polling rate. As per the brand, this reduces input lag to 0.125 milliseconds per report. This makes it one of the most responsive laptop keyboards available, vital for any game where timing and precision matter.

Meanwhile, OMEN AI optimisation allows for one-click performance tuning by automatically adjusting the system. Furthermore, this also tunes hardware and in-game settings based on the game title, including a dedicated VALORANT profile.

Collaborations like this are not new in the gaming industry. However, HP goes beyond just logos or colour schemes, featuring game-specific Easter eggs, dedicated software improvements, and an ongoing multi-product partnership instead of a one-time release. This collaboration is a strategic move by HP to connect its gaming hardware more closely with specific gaming communities rather than promoting products based solely on specifications.

VALORANT has a highly engaged and loyal player base in competitive gaming worldwide. Meanwhile, in India, it is especially popular and continues to grow. A laptop designed with this community in mind should attract buyers who want their hardware to represent their gaming identity rather than just their performance metrics. For Riot Games, this partnership expands VALORANT's reach beyond the game itself and into physical products.

The HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition is priced at Rs 2,24,999. For dedicated VALORANT players who want a setup that showcases their favourite game, the answer is likely yes. However, for those focused purely on performance relative to price, an equivalent non-limited-edition alternative may provide better value.

Nothing Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro offers announced for Flipkart GOAT Sale: check out all the deals

[highlights]

Nothing Phone (4a) series gets offers during the Flipkart sale.

The Phone (4a) will be available at an effective price of Rs 32,999.

The sale starts on July 3rd.

[/highlights]

Nothing has announced offers on some of its products for the upcoming Flipkart GOAT Sale. The latest Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro will be available with offers. Additionally, the Headphone (1) and Ear (a) are available at offer prices during the sale. Flipkart's GOAT Sale starts on July 3rd and will continue until July 9th. Several CMF products will also be available as part of the sale.

Nothing Phone (4a) series offers on Flipkart

Nothing Phone (4a) (review) will be available at an effective price of Rs 32,999 during the sale, with an instant bank discount of Rs 4,000 on EMI transactions or an additional Rs 3,000 exchange bonus. This would bring the Phone (4a) very close to its launch price, which was Rs 31,999. However, it has received multiple price hikes due to the rise in memory costs, making its current price Rs 39,999. So, clubbed with these offers, the Phone (4a) would be a steal at its effective price.
[caption id="attachment_693015" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Nothing Phone (4a) (L), Phone (4a) Pro (R) in pink[/caption]
The Phone (4a) stands out for its unique design and Glyph Bar, making it stand out among rivals. The handset also features a periscope lens with 3.5 optical zoom, which makes it a good choice for zoom photography. However, the 5,400mAh battery seems modest among rivals offering 7,000mAh+. In comparison to the Phone (3a), though, it brings a faster chipset, a periscope telephoto camera, and a slightly larger battery. If you're currently using a Phone (3a), the faster chipset and periscope camera make the (4a) a compelling upgrade, especially at this price.

Similarly, the Phone (4a) Pro (review) will be available at a starting price of Rs 41,999, with an instant bank discount of up to Rs 5,000 on EMI transactions or the same exchange bonus. The Phone (4a) Pro also received price hikes, and it costs Rs 49,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. So, the offers bring down the price by Rs 8,000.

The Phone (4a) Pro is the more expensive and premium model here. It has a faster chipset than the Phone (4a), boasts a 144Hz refresh rate display, and triple rear cameras with a 3.5x periscope lens. However, with the Phone (4a) Pro too, the battery capacity remains 5,400mAh, which would be considerably smaller than alternatives like the iQOO 15R, which offers a 7,600mAh cell.

During the Flipkart sale, Nothing is offering the Headphone (1) available at an introductory price of Rs 16,999. It will be priced at Rs 17,999 from July 6th to 9th. The Nothing Ear (a) will be available at Rs 4,999, and the Nothing Ear at Rs 7,999, for the entire duration of the sale. More products like the CMF Buds 2 lineup, Watch Pro 2, and chargers will also be available at a sale price on Flipkart.

Considering the ongoing price hikes, which don't seem like they're going to stop, it would be a good decision to grab these offers on the Nothing Phone (4a) series.

OPPO Reno 16 and Reno 16c debut in India alongside Bubble accessory

[highlights]

The new Reno lineup includes the Reno 16 and 16c.

OPPO has also launched the Bubble camera accessory.

The Reno 16 series in India starts at Rs 46,999.

[/highlights]

OPPO has refreshed its popular Reno 16 lineup in India with the launch of two phones: Reno 16 and Reno 16c. The new models arrive six months after the Reno 15 series, which launched in India earlier this year, in January. The Reno 16 series brings a refreshed design, under-the-hood upgrades, new AI features, and more. The Reno 16c is a major upgrade over the Reno 15c, with a telephoto camera.

Here's a detailed look at everything new with OPPO.

OPPO Reno 16 series price in India, availability

The OPPO Reno 16 price in India starts at Rs 61,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Reno 16c has been launched at a starting price of Rs 46,999. As for the OPPO Bubble accessory, it will be available at Rs 7,999 and will go on sale from July 9th. All three products can be purchased through the OPPO Store, Flipkart, and Amazon.

Variant

OPPO Reno 16 price

OPPO Reno 16c price

8GB + 128GB

NA

Rs 46,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 61,999

Rs 49,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 67,999

Rs 55,999

OPPO Reno 16 specifications

The OPPO Reno 16 has a compact 6.32-inch (2640 x 1216 pixels) FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The compact screen makes the Reno 16 comfortable to hold and use. It should appeal to people who prefer a smaller phone. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, which is the same as the Reno 15, meaning you'll most likely experience similar performance.

The handset packs a sizeable 6,700mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging support. This is just 200mAh bigger than the Reno 15's battery capacity. Although not a major upgrade, the Reno 16 should comfortably last an entire day.

Cameras are where the Reno 16 shines, with a 50MP setup on the back and front. You get a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. There's a 50MP front camera for selfies on the Reno 16. This is a versatile camera setup, especially the telephoto lens for advanced zoom and long-distance photography. OPPO has also added features such as ‘Dual Flash System' for brighter shots in low-light conditions, AI Remix Collage, Pop Cam, Popout 2.0, and Dual-View Video 2.0.

OPPO Reno 16c specifications

The Reno 16c has a larger 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 high brightness mode. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. We should know more about its performance through its review. The Reno 16c also has a larger 7,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC charging support, which should deliver over a day's power with regular usage.

Even with the Reno 16c, you get a versatile camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom. This is an upgrade over the Reno 15c, which lacked a telephoto lens. This should give the Reno 16c an advantage in zoom photography over rivals.

Both the Reno 16 and Reno 16c come with IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K certifications for dust and water resistance. On the software front, the Reno 16 series runs ColorOS 16.1 with Android 16 out of the box with new features. Key additions include the AI Snap Key and Mind Space, which instantly clip and organise on-screen content into a memory hub, and Mind Pilot, a unified assistant that combines Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT for optimized query responses. The AI Snap Key is a physical button on the Reno 16, similar to the Plus Key on OnePlus phones.

Additionally, AI Bill Manager automatically logs and categorises expenses from receipts or voice notes using real-time currency conversion, while supplementary tools handle menu translation, voice translation, recording stickers, and scanning.

OPPO Reno 16 series specifications at a glance

Specs

OPPO Reno 16

OPPO Reno 16c

Display

6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,600 nits of peak brightness

6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz Adaptive refresh rate, 1,400 nits peak brightness

Processor

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

MediaTek Dimensity 7300

Rear cameras

50MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide + 50MP telephoto

50MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide + 50MP telephoto

Front camera

50MP

50MP

Battery, charging

6,700mAh, 80W SUPERVOOC

7,000mAh, 80W SUPERVOOC

OPPO Bubble features

The OPPO Bubble is a cute and fun accessory that attaches to the back of the Reno 16 with a magnetic sticker. It's basically an additional display that works as a viewfinder for the Reno 16's cameras. This lets you take selfies with the Reno 16's rear cameras. You can also set wallpapers and interactive pets on the display for additional customisation. In terms of specs, the OPPO Bubble has a 1.73-inch AMOLED screen with 600 nits brightness level, a 560mAh battery, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Based on the specifications and pricing, the Reno 16 is recommended to those who want a compact smartphone with flagship-style cameras, dependable performance, a sizeable battery, and several AI features. The Reno 16c is the affordable alternative here with a slightly bigger display, still good cameras, and a large battery. But since the Reno 15 series is still fresh in the market, it would be advisable to compare and see if the upgrades are significant.

It is currently available as a public beta on Lumio TVs and projectors; however, our beta testing shows that TLDR is also compatible with Android TV (v11 and above), Google TV, and supported projectors. Users can connect the app through WhatsApp or Instagram on their smartphones and simply chat with it for content recommendations. These recommendations are automatically shared with the TV, complete with the relevant streaming platforms, and users can even cast Instagram Reels directly to their TV.

"Instead of typing with a remote, jumping across apps, or remembering where a show lives, users can say what they want to watch; Neo brings it to the TV," said the company in its press release.
The app aims to solve one of the biggest frustrations with smart TVs: finding something to watch. "A colleague mentions a show over lunch, a friend sends a reel of the latest trailer, your wife texts you things to watch on WhatsApp. Then you sit down in front of the TV, and it's all forgotten, so you're doomed to scroll. That gap between where we discover content and where we actually watch it is exactly what Neo closes. You just say what you're in the mood for, or forward the reel on WhatsApp and Instagram, and it's on your screen," said Kailash Sankaranarayanan, Co-Founder & COO, Circuit House Technologies, on the release of the app.

After using the beta version of the TLDR app, I can say it has a solid foundation and the potential to become a genuinely useful companion for Android TV users. However, there are a few areas that need improvement, particularly follow-up conversations. While the app is designed to support natural interactions, it currently struggles with contextual follow-up queries. For example, after asking for "Best horror movies", users can't naturally refine the results with prompts such as "On JioHotstar" or "Bollywood".

Furthermore, Instagram Reels do not currently support full-screen playback. I also encountered a few unexpected app crashes, and the connection between the TV and smartphone app occasionally dropped when the app was running in the background. However, it is worth noting that the TLDR app seamlessly paired with my smartphone and continued to work remotely once connected. The interface also supports various tabs for Home, Movies, Shows, Sports, Music, and more in case you want to browse and not use AI.

The TLDR app is available for download via the Play Store on compatible devices. If you often struggle with what to watch on TV, the app is worth getting.

WhatsApp says usernames will have anti-impersonation measures after India raises concerns

After the Indian government reportedly asked Meta to pause the rollout of the WhatsApp usernames feature in the country, the company has explained its stance.

[highlights]

WhatsApp says its upcoming usernames feature will include multiple safeguards to prevent impersonation, scams and abuse.

Meta confirmed the feature is not yet live and will roll out gradually later this year, with phone numbers still required for WhatsApp accounts.

The response comes after a report claimed the Indian government asked Meta to pause the feature's rollout in India and explain it within three days.

[/highlights]

WhatsApp is set to bring about a huge change in its fundamental way of connecting users in the form of usernames, but the Indian government has reportedly already raised eyebrows at the feature. According to a Moneycontrol report citing government sources, the Centre has directed Meta not to introduce WhatsApp usernames in India until consultations on the feature are completed. The reported move comes seemingly due to potential risks of impersonation, user identification and platform safety.

In response, a WhatsApp spokesperson said the feature is not yet live and will roll out gradually later this year with several safeguards designed to prevent abuse. WhatsApp has also outlined how its upcoming usernames feature will work.

WhatsApp usernames privacy concerns

In a statement shared by Meta, the company said users will still need a phone number to create and use a WhatsApp account even after usernames become available. The feature is intended to let people connect without sharing their mobile numbers, but only if they know the exact username of the person they want to message.

To reduce impersonation risks, the company said it has reserved usernames for public figures, government entities, celebrities and verified Meta accounts. It has also blocked lookalike variations of well-known names from being claimed by other users.

The company added that it will limit how many new people an account can contact, prevent repeated attempts to guess usernames and use automated systems to detect and remove suspicious activity. When users receive a message from someone via a username for the first time, WhatsApp will also display contextual information, including whether the sender is a new account, an existing contact, shares common groups or is based in another country.

WhatsApp usernames India rollout could be delayed

The response from WhatsApp comes after government sources reportedly said that Meta has been asked to submit a detailed explanation of the feature within three days and not launch it in India until consultations conclude. Officials are examining whether username-based communication could increase the risk of impersonation or misuse on one of the country's largest messaging platforms.

WhatsApp had earlier announced that users would be able to reserve unique usernames before the feature becomes widely available later this year, but it has not confirmed a launch timeline for India. It's unclear what happens to those usernames that have already been reserved by users though they're unlikely to be impacted by this, as this could be a temporary pause to the rollout.

If introduced, the feature would bring WhatsApp closer to rivals such as Telegram, Signal and Discord, which already allow users to communicate without revealing their phone numbers. For users, the added privacy could be useful, particularly when interacting with businesses or new contacts. However, the government's reported intervention suggests that any India rollout may depend on whether regulators are satisfied with the platform's safeguards against fraud and impersonation.

The RCB Edition is unlikely to differ from the standard model in terms of hardware. Nothing has already confirmed a Snapdragon chipset, while leaks point to a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, Glyph Interface and Essential Key. Other expected specifications include up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 16MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The global version is tipped to come with a smaller battery due to European regulations.

Nothing Phone 4b India launch details

The Nothing Phone 4b is launching in India and globally on July 7th at 3.30 pm IST. A tipster claims the Nothing Phone 4b could be priced above Rs 30,000 in India. At that price, it is expected to compete with the OnePlus Nord CE 6 series, Motorola Edge lineup and the Redmi Note 15 Pro.

Nothing is unlikely to win purely on benchmark performance. Instead, it may continue to position the Phone 4b around its clean software, transparent design language and Glyph Interface. The RCB Edition could further strengthen that appeal if Nothing goes beyond a cosmetic refresh by including exclusive software elements or accessories. Cricket-themed smartphones remain rare in India, with most limited-edition devices typically focusing on gaming, anime or pop culture collaborations.

Given this is a special edition, buyers should consider if the unique branding and potential software additions will justify a premium over the standard Phone 4b or other competitors in this price bracket, especially if performance is a priority. Waiting for full reviews will provide a clearer picture of its overall value.

Samsung Galaxy A08 spotted on Wi-Fi certification, launch could be imminent

The Samsung Galaxy A08 could be edging closer to launch as it appears on numerous certifications. Here's the latest.

[highlights]

The Samsung Galaxy A08 has appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website ahead of its expected launch.

The upcoming budget smartphone was previously spotted on the GSMA database, confirming its Galaxy A08 branding.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A08 as the successor to the Galaxy A07 4G around August.

[/highlights]

Samsung's next affordable Galaxy A-series smartphone appears to be one step closer to launch. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A08 4G has been spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website with the model number SM-A085F/DS, indicating that the device is nearing its official debut.

The latest certification comes after the smartphone appeared on the GSMA database in April, which confirmed both its model number and the Galaxy A08 branding. While neither listing reveals any hardware specifications, they suggest Samsung has started the certification process required before launch.

The Galaxy A08 will succeed last year's Galaxy A07 4G in Samsung's entry-level portfolio. Given that the Galaxy A07 debuted in August 2025, Samsung is likely to stick to its annual refresh cycle, pointing to a possible August 2026 launch for its successor.

Samsung Galaxy A08: what to expect

At the moment, Samsung has not shared any details about the Galaxy A08's specifications. The Wi-Fi certification only confirms support for Wi-Fi connectivity and the model number, leaving the rest of the hardware a mystery. The certification listings suggest Samsung is moving closer to announcing the phone, with more details likely to emerge through additional certifications and leaks over the coming weeks.

While the Galaxy A08's specifications remain under wraps, its predecessor offers a good indication of what buyers can expect. The Galaxy A07 launched in India at a starting price of Rs 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant. It features a 6.74-inch HD+ 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 50MP dual rear cameras, an 8MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, IP54 dust and splash resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Samsung also promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making it one of the strongest software support commitments in the budget segment.

For the Galaxy A08, buyers will likely be hoping for upgrades such as a newer processor, improved cameras or a larger battery while retaining Samsung's long-term software support. If the company manages to keep pricing close to the Galaxy A07's launch price (which is now available above Rs 10,000), the Galaxy A08 could emerge as a compelling option for buyers seeking a dependable budget smartphone. The Galaxy A08 is expected to target the sub-Rs 15,000 segment now, considering the recent rising prices, where it will compete with offerings from Redmi, POCO, Lava and Motorola.

Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L launched in India: A premium wireless mouse with a built-in pillow

Logitech has officially expanded its Signature Series in India with the launch of the Signature Comfort Plus M850 L and M840 L wireless mice. Aimed directly at desk warriors clocking massive hours behind screens, these new peripherals place a heavy focus on daily ergonomics. The headline feature here is the debut of Logitech's first-ever built-in cushioned palm support design, engineered to curb hand fatigue during relentless workdays.

Ergonomics get a cushiony upgrade

The flagship Signature Comfort Plus M850 L sports a sculpted right-handed profile wrapped in comfortable rubber side grips, with the plush palm cushion encouraging a more natural hand posture. Real-world tested by professionals, the cushion is tuned for the kind of long desk days people actually experience. If you like the ergonomics but prefer a traditional flat form factor, Logitech has also introduced the M840 L variant, which retains every single underlying feature minus the cushion.

Smart Scrolling, Silent Clicks, and Corporate Chops

Both mice are packed with practical productivity tools. They feature silent clicks to keep workplace distractions low and the signature SmartWheel, which seamlessly jumps from high-precision tracking to hyper-fast scrolling. For multitaskers, the mice come equipped with Easy-Switch capabilities, allowing users to pair and jump between three different devices—be it a work computer, a home laptop, or a phone—with a simple tap. Users can also fine-tune their workflow using the Logi Options+ app to assign custom shortcuts or trigger AI navigation tools through automated Smart Actions.

Logitech has also readied a "For Business" version of the M850 L tailored for corporate environments. This version packs a secure Logi Bolt USB-C wireless receiver and integrates with Logitech Sync for central IT fleet management. On the sustainability front, the mice utilize up to 77% certified post-consumer recycled plastic and ship in FSC-certified paper packaging. Powering them won't be a constant hassle either, as they boast a battery life of up to two years.

In terms of pricing, the flagship Signature Comfort Plus M850 L lands at INR 7,762 in India. Its sibling, the M840 L, comes in slightly cheaper at INR 6,468. Both models are available in Graphite and Off-White color options.

Navigating the Premium Desk Wilderness

Priced near the INR 7,700 mark, the Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L steps into a highly competitive premium productivity space. Historically, users seeking extreme desk comfort in India had to pivot toward vertical options like the Logitech Lift, which forces a "handshake" grip that can require a bit of a learning curve. Alternatively, power users often stretch their budgets toward the flagship MX Master 4, which offers an analytical edge with dual scroll wheels but commands a heftier price tag.

The M850 L cleverly slots into the middle of this ecosystem. It offers an attractive compromise for the everyday professional: traditional, familiar horizontal mouse tracking enhanced by integrated physical cushioning that requires zero muscle memory retraining. While power users might miss the premium rechargeable lithium batteries of the MX series, the two-year battery life and extensive Logi Options+ macro mapping provide stellar value. It is a calculated and welcome alternative for modern professionals looking to elevate their daily workspace comfort without rebuilding their entire desktop philosophy.

The sale will run from July 4th to July 6th exclusively for Amazon Prime members, with buyers able to purchase the four smartphones at lower prices.

Amazon Prime Day 2026: iQOO smartphone deals

Smartphone

Launch price

Current price

Prime Day price

iQOO Z11x

Rs 18,999

Rs 22,999

Rs 20,999

iQOO Neo 10

Rs 37,999

Rs 41,999

Rs 38,999

iQOO 15R

Rs 44,999

Rs 49,999

Rs 45,999

iQOO 15

Rs 72,999

Rs 76,999

Rs 71,999

*starting prices mentioned

iQOO Z11x

The iQOO Z11x launched at Rs 18,999 earlier this year before its price increased to Rs 22,999. During Prime Day, it drops to Rs 20,999, effectively reversing part of that hike. Even at this price, it remains one of the strongest all-rounders under Rs 25,000 thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, 7,200mAh battery, IP68/IP69 rating and four years of security updates. If you've been waiting to buy the phone after the recent price increase, Prime Day is a much better time to do so.

iQOO Neo 10

The iQOO Neo 10 initially launched at Rs 31,999 in May 2025, and got new colour variants launched at a higher price of Rs 37,999 in May this year. It will be available for Rs 38,999 during the sale. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and iQOO's dedicated Q1 gaming chip, it remains one of the fastest gaming smartphones in its segment. Buyers considering alternatives like the POCO F-series or Realme GT lineup should find this deal particularly attractive if gaming performance is their priority.

iQOO 15R

Launched at Rs 44,999, the iQOO 15R will retail for Rs 45,999 during Prime Day. At under Rs 46,000, it becomes one of the more affordable ways to get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a massive 7,600mAh battery and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Buyers looking at the OnePlus 15R or Vivo's upper mid-range offerings may find the iQOO 15R delivers stronger value if battery life and performance matter more.

iQOO 15

The biggest deal is on the iQOO 15, which drops from its launch price of Rs 72,999 to Rs 71,999, an effective discount of Rs 1,000. Even though it's more expensive than its launch price, it retails around Rs 76,000 currently because of price rises. At this price, the flagship undercuts rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 and OPPO Find X9 while offering a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Samsung 2K OLED display, triple 50MP cameras and a 7,000mAh battery with both wired and wireless charging. If you've been planning to buy a premium Android flagship, this is arguably the strongest Prime Day deal in iQOO's lineup.

The discounts are a welcome relief for users as smartphone prices across the industry continue to rise because of higher component costs. While several brands have increased prices in recent months, Prime Day gives buyers a chance to pick up relatively new devices at considerably lower prices, so buyers should take note of the deals they're interested in and grab them before they're gone.

OnePlus N6 vs iQOO Z11x: which phone offers better value under Rs 25,000?

The OnePlus N6 has launched in India under Rs 25,000 and here's how it stacks up against one of its competitors, the iQOO Z11x.

After launching the OnePlus N6 as its latest affordable smartphone, OnePlus is taking on rivals like the iQOO Z11x in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment. Both smartphones start at Rs 22,999 and focus on battery life, durability, and everyday performance. However, they differ significantly in areas such as display resolution, processor, cameras, software support, and battery capacity. So, should you pick the OnePlus N6 or the iQOO Z11x? Let's find out in this specifications-based comparison.

Before diving into the comparison, here's a quick look at the specifications of both smartphones.

Specs at a glace

Specs

OnePlus N6

iQOO Z11x

Display

6.8-inch HD+ IPS LCD, 120Hz

6.76-inch FHD+ IPS LCD, 120Hz

Processor

MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo

RAM and storage

Up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 128GB UFS 2.0 storage

Up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage

Rear cameras

50MP

50MP + 2MP

Selfie camera

8MP

32MP

Battery

8,000mAh

7,200mAh

Charging

45W SUPERVOOC

44W FlashCharge

Software

OxygenOS 16
2+3 years

OriginOS 6
2+4 years

Durability

IP65
MIL-STD-810H

IP68, IP69
MIL-STD-810H

OnePlus N6 vs iQOO Z11x: price

The iQOO Z11x launched in India in March, starting at Rs 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, but the model is now available for Rs 22,999. Meanwhile, the OnePlus N6 launched at Rs 22,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. Here's the detailed price comparison:

OnePlus N6

iQOO Z11x

4GB + 128GB

Rs 22,999

NA

6GB + 128GB

Rs 24,999

Rs 22,999

8GB + 128GB

NA

Rs 24,999

8GB + 256GB

NA

Rs 26,999

While the starting price of both the iQOO Z11x and OnePlus N6 are the same, iQOO Z11x offers more RAM at the same price. Plus, a hike for the OnePlus N6 cannot be ruled out in future, considering DRAM and NAND prices haven't yet stabilised, and they'll keep affecting the cost of smartphones.

Additionally, the N6 doesn't offer more on-device storage than 128GB, though it comes with a microSD slot that supports up to 2TB more. So if you're looking for a 256GB phone, the iQOO Z11x gives you that option.

Design

Starting with the appearance, both smartphones feature flat frames with polycarbonate rear panels and carry MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification for improved drop resistance. However, the iQOO Z11x enjoys a clear advantage in durability by offering IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, while the OnePlus N6 settles for an IP65 rating. While all three offer the highest level of dust resistance, IP68 is built for full underwater submersion, IP69 is designed to withstand intense high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns, and IP65 only withstands low-pressure water jets.
[caption id="attachment_706471" align="alignnone" width="1200"] OnePlus N6[/caption]
In terms of colours, the OnePlus N6 is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green finishes, whereas the iQOO Z11x comes in Titan Black and Prismatic Green. Despite housing a larger battery, the OnePlus N6 weighs 224 gms, only slightly more than the iQOO Z11x's 219 gms. Both smartphones are on the heavier side, but that's an expected trade-off for their large battery capacities.
[caption id="attachment_693727" align="alignnone" width="2560"] iQOO Z11x[/caption]
Display

The OnePlus N6 features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ (1570 x 720) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. The iQOO Z11x sports a slightly smaller 6.76-inch IPS LCD display but upgrades to an FHD+ (2344 x 1080) resolution while retaining the same 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits High Brightness Mode.

The higher resolution gives the iQOO Z11x a noticeable advantage when watching videos, browsing the web, or reading text, as images and fonts should appear sharper. Since both devices support a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling through the interface and supported apps should feel equally smooth.

Performance

On the performance front, the iQOO Z11x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, built on a 4nm process. It sits a tier above the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max found inside the OnePlus N6. While both processors should comfortably handle everyday tasks and casual gaming, the Dimensity 7400 Turbo is expected to offer better sustained performance for heavier games and multitasking.
[caption id="attachment_692232" align="alignnone" width="1200"] iQQQ Z11x[/caption]
Both smartphones feature LPDDR4X RAM, but their configurations differ. The OnePlus N6 is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, while the iQOO Z11x starts with 6GB RAM and goes up to 8GB. The higher memory options should allow the iQOO Z11x to keep more apps running in the background, while it also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM expansion.

Storage is another area where the iQOO Z11x gains an advantage. It comes equipped with UFS 3.1 storage, while OnePlus uses UFS 2.2 on the N6. Faster storage generally results in quicker app launches, shorter installation times, and faster file transfers, giving the iQOO an edge in day-to-day responsiveness.

For thermal management, the OnePlus N6 includes a 5,300 sq mm vapour chamber cooling system. The iQOO Z11x doesn't feature a dedicated liquid-cooling vapour chamber, but rather utilises a highly efficient passive thermal control system. Both smartphones support bypass charging, which helps minimise heat generation during extended gaming sessions while plugged in.

Battery and charging

Battery capacity is where the OnePlus N6 makes its strongest case. It packs a massive 8,000mAh battery compared to the iQOO Z11x's already sizeable 7,200mAh cell. The larger capacity should translate into longer screen-on time, particularly for users who stream videos, play games, or travel frequently.

Charging speeds remain almost identical. The OnePlus N6 supports 45W SUPERVOOC charging, while the iQOO Z11x offers 44W FlashCharge. Both smartphones also support reverse charging and bypass charging, allowing users to power other devices or reduce heat while gaming during charging. Because of its larger battery, the OnePlus N6 may take slightly longer to charge fully than the iQOO Z11x.

Cameras

The OnePlus N6 features a single 50MP rear camera with support for up to 10x digital zoom and 1080p video recording at 60fps. In comparison, the iQOO Z11x offers a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor and a 2MP bokeh camera.

Up front, the difference is even more significant. The OnePlus N6 gets an 8MP selfie camera, whereas the iQOO Z11x packs a 32MP front camera. On paper, the iQOO should capture sharper selfies and deliver better-quality video calls. It also supports 4K video recording using both the front and rear cameras, giving it a clear edge for content creation.

Software

The OnePlus N6 ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, while the iQOO Z11x runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. Both smartphones are promised two major Android OS upgrades, meaning they should eventually receive Android 18. However, the iQOO Z11x is guaranteed four years of security updates, one year more than the OnePlus N6's three-year commitment. Users planning to keep their smartphone for several years may find the longer security support more reassuring.

Why choose the iQOO Z11x?

Better overall value: The iQOO Z11x gives more RAM and storage options starting at the same starting price of Rs 22,999.

Sharper display: It has a sharper FHD+ 120Hz display for watching videos, reading, and gaming.

Stronger performance: With more RAM, the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset and faster UFS 3.1 storage, the iQOO Z11x will be faster and withstand multitasking better.

Better cameras: The iQOO Z11x has the 32MP selfie camera and 4K video recording from both front and rear cameras.

Software support: You can keep your phone longer and value an extra year of security updates.

Better durability: Thanks to IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, the iQOO Z11x is the tougher phone.

Why choose the Nord N6?

Larger battery: With an 8,000mAh cell for extended screen time, the OnePlus N6 may give you more days of usage.

You prefer OxygenOS 16, which many users find cleaner and closer to stock Android.

The OnePlus N6 has microSD card support, allowing storage expansion of up to 2TB. iQOO Z11x restricts this to 1TB.

You want a phone with a dedicated vapour chamber cooling system for better sustained gaming performance.

The laptop targets enterprises, small businesses, educational institutions and public sector buyers that want a lightweight device built for everyday work. Let's take a deeper look into what the machine has to offer below.

Acer TraveLite TL24-54M: features, specifications

The TravelLite is a business machine designed for practicality and being a robust everyday machine for professionals. Acer has given it a 14-inch Full HD+ display, a 1.22kg aluminium body and a 180-degree hinge that should help in meetings, classrooms and collaborative work. The design looks slim and modern, but Acer also claims that the laptop meets MIL-STD 810H durability standards for tougher commercial use.

Inside, the laptop runs on Intel Core Series 3 processors built on Intel's 18A process node. The TravelLite also supports up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, which should help with multitasking and faster load times.

Security is another major focus. The laptop includes TPM 2.0, BIOS-level security, a privacy camera shutter, optional fingerprint authentication and Kensington lock support. Acer has also added Wi-Fi 7, USB-C with Display and Power Delivery, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit LAN and Acer FlexiCharger technology to help manage battery health over time.

Acer says the TravelLite is meant for organisations that want a reliable and scalable PC for long-term use. The combination of new Intel hardware, enterprise security and lightweight design makes it a practical option for commercial buyers that want modern features without moving into a premium price bracket. The laptop will be sold through Acer's commercial partners.

Where does the new TraveLite fit in?

The laptop targets business buyers who want a light laptop that is easy to carry and reliable for daily work. It is not trying to be a flashy premium machine, but it still brings a modern design, a 14-inch Full HD+ display, Intel's new Core Series 3 platform, DDR5 memory and fast SSD storage.

In simple terms, it sits between basic office laptops and expensive premium business models. Compared with rivals from Lenovo, Dell and others, it looks like a practical option for companies, schools and offices that need a laptop for regular work, meetings and travel. With the new Intel Series 3 chipsets, the laptop will also offer longer battery efficiency compared to older generations. It also has useful business features like Wi-Fi 7, USB-C, HDMI, LAN, fingerprint support and strong security tools.

This makes the TravelLite a balanced choice for organisations because it offers the right mix of portability, security and performance without pushing too far into premium pricing.

[highlights]

Lumio Vision 9 sports a 4K QD MiniLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors deliver native 1080p resolution with HDR10 support.

Amazon Prime Day sale runs from July 4th to July 6th.

[/highlights]

With the Amazon Prime Day sale just around the corner, Lumio has unveiled the deals that will be available on its TVs and projectors. The sale is set to begin on July 4th at 12 am and will last till July 6th at 11:59 pm. As part of its offerings, the company's latest high-end TV, the Vision 9 55-inch, will be available at a net effective price of Rs 45,249 using bank offers and coupons, while the Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors can be grabbed for as low as Rs 16,249. Let's take a look at the breakdown of these deals.

Lumio Vision 9, Arc 7, Arc 5 deals during Amazon Prime Day 2026

Product

Current price

Bank offer + coupon discount

Net effective sale price

SBI and Axis credit and debit cards

Lumio Vision 9 55-inch

Rs 51,999

Rs 5,000 + Rs 1,000

Rs 45,999

Lumio Arc 5

Rs 18,999

Rs 1,750 + Rs 1,000

Rs 16,249

Lumio Arc 7

Rs 31,499

Rs 2,250 + Rs 2,000

Rs 27,249

SBI and Axis credit card no-cost EMI deal

Lumio Vision 9 55-inch

Rs 51,999

Rs 5,750 + Rs 1,000

Rs 45,249

Lumio Arc 5

Rs 18,999

Rs 1,750 + Rs 1,000

Rs 16,249

Lumio Arc 7

Rs 31,499

Rs 2,250 + Rs 2,000

Rs 27,249

Note: The Lumio Vision 9 can be purchased using SBI and Axis Bank cards with no-cost EMI options of 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, while the Arc 5 and Arc 7 are available with 3- and 6-month no-cost EMI.

What the Lumio Vision 9 offers

With the display being its major highlight, the Lumio Vision 9 55-inch sports a QD MiniLED panel with Lumio's EVA technology, offering up to 7,000:1 native contrast, 1,00,000:1 dynamic contrast, 800 nits peak brightness, and excellent colour accuracy (Delta E < 1.9). It supports 4K at 144Hz, 1080p at 240Hz, VRR (48–240Hz), and delivers an input lag of just 9.7ms.

It is powered by the MediaTek Pentonic 700 chipset, 3GB DDR4 RAM, and faster storage that Lumio claims delivers twice the performance of comparable TVs. It runs Android 14 out of the box, while connectivity includes full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps), with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG support. Audio comes from a 50W 2.2 DGS system with hexa drivers (dual subwoofers, full-range drivers, and tweeters), reaching down to 38Hz.

On the software side, it runs Lumio's TLDR 2.0 platform, which brings 34 new features including daily Trending Top 10, unified Lumio Ratings, and improved smart search. While we're yet to review the 55-inch variant of this TV, the 65-inch model impressed us with its superb display quality, fluid UI, punchy audio output, and two HDMI 2.1 ports with support for up to 4K resolution playback at 144Hz. On the other hand, our review noted that the HDR performance could've been better while console-related quirks remain an issue.

Given the deal price, it's a solid option for those looking to elevate their home entertainment experience. One can consider upgrading if your current TV lacks 4K 120Hz support or if you're looking for a significant boost in HDR performance. On the other hand, the Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors deliver native 1080p resolution with HDR10 support, are powered by the MediaTek MT9630 chipset and carry 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

Both projectors feature Lumio's sealed ArcLight optical engine for dust resistance, auto keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, Bluetooth connectivity, and official Netflix & Google TV support. The focus on QD MiniLED for the Vision 9 aligns with the industry's shift towards advanced display technologies, while the competitive pricing on the Arc projectors reflects the growing demand for affordable home cinema solutions.

Nothing Ear (3a) to launch on July 7th alongside Phone (4b), pink colour confirmed

[highlights]

Nothing Ear (3a) has been officially teased.

It's confirmed to launch in four colours.

The Ear (3a) is expected to launch as a budget TWS.

[/highlights]

Nothing has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming TWS, the Ear (3a). The announcement comes shortly after it was leaked that the Nothing Ear (3a) will launch at the same price as the Ear (a). The upcoming Nothing TWS is also expected to arrive as an affordable variant of the Ear (3), which launched last year.

Nothing Ear (3a) launch date

The Nothing Ear (3a) is scheduled to launch on July 7th, alongside the Nothing Phone (4b). The launch event will take place at 11:00 BST, which would be 3:30 PM IST for viewers in India. The announcement was made on X through Nothing's official handle, where it shared a teaser confirming four colour options for the Ear (3a): White, Black, Yellow, and Pink. This corroborates a previous leak, revealing the TWS would launch in these colours.

Only dating DJs this summer.

Ear (3a)
7 July, 11:00 BST

Shot on Nothing
w/ Phone (4b) pic.twitter.com/srMb5bykNe
— Nothing (@nothing) June 30, 2026

The same leak also suggested that the Nothing Ear (3a) could cost €99 in France, matching the launch price of the Nothing Ear (a) from 2024. This means that the Ear (3a) will be offered as a budget option, like its predecessor. If it does indeed launch at the same price, then it will quite likely please users who have been waiting for an upgrade.

We still don't know key details about the Nothing Ear (a), but it's expected to launch as an affordable alternative to the Ear (3). It could follow a similar formula to the original Ear (a), which offered most of the core features but with a few compromises. The Ear (3a) will most likely follow the same route, where it offers active noise cancellation, good sound quality, and a transparent but refined design.

Since the Nothing Ear (3a) is launching in different colours, it gives users more options to choose from. A pink colour variant also suggests that Nothing is maintaining a trend this year with the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. If the Ear (3a) does end up launching at the expected price with a premium-like experience, it could become a top choice in the budget segment. So if you've been waiting for a budget TWS from Nothing, you should be able to get your hands on it soon.

Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition tipped to launch in India; phone expected to be priced above Rs 30,000

As per a new leak, the Nothing Phone 4b could get an RCB special edition as the company sponsors the IPL team. Here's the latest.

[highlights]

The Nothing Phone 4b is tipped to launch in a special RCB Edition alongside the standard model.

The company has confirmed blue, black and white colour options for the phone.

The phone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip and be priced above Rs 30,000 in India.

[/highlights]

Nothing could soon expand its smartphone lineup with a special Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) edition of the upcoming Nothing Phone 4b. According to tipster Debayan Roy, the company is preparing an RCB-themed version of the phone alongside the standard model. Another tipster, Abhishek Yadav, also posted on X that the Nothing Phone 4b will come in three colours and a fourth special edition, but stopped short of giving more details.

The rumoured edition comes months after Nothing became the title sponsor of Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the 2026 IPL season. The partnership followed RCB's maiden IPL title in 2025, and the team successfully defended the trophy in the 2026 season.

Nothing Phone 4b expected features and specifications

We're not sure what the Nothing Phone 4b RCB edition would bring but we can expect a different box along with special RCB-themed accessories. A colour blocked phone in RCB's signature red, black and gold also cannot be ruled out, though these are all speculations. We doubt the specifications of the RCB edition from those of the standard Nothing Phone 4b.

Nothing has only confirmed a Snapdragon chipset for the phone but leaks have suggested what the spec sheet could look like. The Nothing Phone 4b is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. The phone is also expected to retain signature Nothing features such as the Glyph Interface and Essential Key.

Other rumoured specifications include up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 16MP front-facing camera. The device is also said to offer stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The global variant is reportedly expected to feature a slightly smaller battery.

While the hardware appears competitive for the upper mid-range segment, the use of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage may disappoint buyers.

Nothing Phone 4b India price

According to Roy, the Nothing Phone 4b is expected to be priced above Rs 30,000 in India. If that happens, it will compete with devices such as the OnePlus Nord CE 6 series, Motorola Edge lineup, and the iQOO Neo 10. Nothing could differentiate the Phone 4b through its software experience, distinctive transparent design and Glyph Interface rather than chasing performance numbers. The RCB Edition may also appeal to fans looking for an exclusive design, provided the company includes custom finishes, wallpapers or accessories instead of simply changing the retail packaging.

If the leak is accurate, this would be one of the few examples of a smartphone brand launching a limited-edition device tied to a sports franchise. Companies including OnePlus, iQOO and Realme have previously introduced special editions inspired by gaming, anime and pop culture, but cricket-themed smartphones remain relatively uncommon in India.

Realme 16 Pro+, Realme 16 prices hiked again in India: here's how much they cost now

[highlights]

Realme 16 Pro+ has received a price hike of Rs 3,000.

The Realme 16 is also costlier by Rs 1,000 across all variants.

Interestingly, the Realme 16 Pro's price has been reduced.

[/highlights]

Realme 16 Pro+ and the Realme 16 have received price hikes in India, again. The Realme Pro+ now starts around Rs 50,000 in India. The Realme 16 is also costlier by Rs 1,000 across all variants. Interestingly, the Realme 16 Pro seems to have become more affordable compared to its last price hike. These frequent price adjustments show no signs of slowing down, fueled primarily by skyrocketing memory costs driven by the global AI boom.

Here's a detailed look at the latest price hikes on Realme phones.

Realme 16 Pro+, Realme 16 price hike

Realme 16 Pro+ (review) now starts at Rs 49,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. This is after a price hike of Rs 3,000. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants now cost Rs 52,999 and Rs 55,999, respectively. The Realme 16 Pro+ now enters a new price segment altogether, facing rivals like the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R. It still holds its own with a versatile camera setup, including a 3.5x telephoto lens. The handset also boasts a 144Hz display and a large 7,000mAh battery. So, if performance isn't a deal breaker, the Realme 16 Pro+ is still a considerable choice despite the increased price.

Variant

Old price

New price

8GB + 128GB

Rs 46,999

Rs 49,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 48,999

Rs 52,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 52,999

Rs 55,999

The Realme 16 (review) has received a modest price hike of Rs 1,000 across all variants. It was earlier available at Rs 33,999, but now costs Rs 34,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset stands out for its compact form factor (6.57-inch), a unique selfie mirror design, and a large 7,000mAh battery. It's an overall balanced mid-range phone.

Variant

Old price

New price

8GB + 128GB

Rs 33,999

Rs 34,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 36,999

Rs 37,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 39,999

Rs 40,999

As for the Realme 16 Pro (review), it is now available at a starting price of Rs 37,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone was launched at Rs 31,999, but its price had recently been increased to Rs 39,999 for the base model. Interestingly, it's now available at Rs 37,999 on the Realme India website, which means it's a price drop and not a hike.

Variant

Old price

New price

8GB + 128GB

Rs 39,999

Rs 37,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 42,999

Rs 40,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 46,999

Rs 43,999

This might actually be a good time to purchase the Realme 16 Pro since it's cheaper than its recent price hike. You should still consider comparing with alternatives like the Motorola Edge 70 Pro and OnePlus Nord 6, which offer better chipsets.

With multiple price hikes taking place frequently, it would be a good decision not to wait and buy the phone that you want. You can still check out sales and look for offers to try and grab the best deal possible on these phones.

Leak suggests iQOO 16 lineup may arrive without an Ultra version in 2026: report

iQOO 16 is tipped for a September launch with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and 8,500mAh battery, while the Ultra model may be skipped this year.

[highlights]

iQOO 16 may launch in September without an Ultra model this year.

The standard iQOO 16 is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and an 8,500mAh battery.

A memory shortage may also be pushing iQOO to space out its premium launches.

[/highlights]

The iQOO 16 series could arrive earlier this year than expected, but it may do so without an Ultra model. A new leak suggests that iQOO is preparing the standard iQOO 16 for a September launch, while the more premium Ultra variant may be skipped for this generation. The leak comes from a reliable weibo tipster who's shared the details in a recent post. Let's take a look at it below.

What the leak says

Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that iQOO will not launch an Ultra series device for this generation. The post also suggests that the company may reserve Ultra models for years when it has a bigger hardware or technology leap to show, rather than updating the lineup on a fixed annual cycle. The conversation has been translated directly from Weibo and is attached below.
[caption id="attachment_706774" align="alignnone" width="645"]Translated from Chinese[/caption]
If that holds true, the iQOO 16 lineup could focus on the standard iQOO 16 and possibly an iQOO 16T instead of an Ultra model. The standard iQOO 16 is said to launch in September with Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and a battery capacity of around 8,500mAh.

The iQOO 15 Ultra, which launched in China in February, sits as the current benchmark for the series with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 7,400mAh battery and 100W wired charging. If the Ultra model is skipped this year, the standard iQOO 16 will likely carry the responsibility of moving the series forward until the next major flagship leap.

If the leak turns out to be accurate, the absence of an Ultra model would leave iQOO with a simpler flagship lineup, but it may also reflect the reality of today's market, where even the base iQOO 15 already feels firmly premium because of constant price hikes.

In that context, an Ultra variant would almost become a reserved luxury rather than a necessary yearly upgrade, making the standard iQOO 16 the more practical choice for most buyers.

Why is it happening?

This move would mark a clear shift in iQOO's launch strategy. Instead of following the iQOO 15 Ultra with another yearly flagship Ultra, the brand may use the iQOO 16 as its main high-end entrant and hold back the Ultra variant until a bigger upgrade is ready. That approach would also fit the tipster's earlier comment that Ultra devices are not meant to follow a strict yearly schedule.

Another possible reason could be the ongoing memory shortage and the price pressure it has created across the smartphone industry. Brands are becoming more selective about launching multiple premium tiers every year.

Some companies now also appear more willing to spread their top-end hardware across fewer launches instead of keeping every sub-series on a fixed timetable. For buyers, that could mean a simpler iQOO 16 lineup, but it also leaves the Ultra space open for a later comeback.

The revised prices affect models across the company's flagship X, premium mid-range V, mid-range T and budget Y series, including phones launched just a few months ago. The biggest hike is for the Vivo X300 FE, whose base variant now starts at Rs 86,999.

The price revision also comes amid rising component costs across the smartphone industry. However, Vivo's latest increases are among the steepest seen recently, especially in the mid-range segment, where some entry-level devices with modest hardware now cross the Rs 20,000 mark.

Vivo phones' new prices

The Vivo X300 FE has received the biggest increase, with both storage variants becoming Rs 7,000 more expensive than their launch prices. The 12GB + 256GB model now costs Rs 86,999 instead of Rs 79,999, while the 12GB + 512GB version is now priced at a whopping Rs 96,999.

The V70 FE has also become dearer by up to Rs 5,000, while the T5x has seen a cumulative increase of Rs 6,000 since its launch in March. Notably, the T4 Lite, which debuted in June 2025 at Rs 10,999, now starts at Rs 18,999. Meanwhile, some MediaTek Dimensity 6300-powered smartphones with 4GB RAM now cost over Rs 20,000, highlighting how aggressively prices have moved in the budget segment.

Vivo X300 FE
<table style="border-collapse: collapse; While the phone offers a premium design, flagship-grade performance with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and Vivo's well-regarded Zeiss camera system, buyers now have several compelling alternatives.

Multiple Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered smartphones are already available for under Rs 60,000, offering similar flagship performance for significantly less. Vivo is likely betting that its Zeiss imaging partnership and camera experience justify the premium, but the X300 FE remains an "FE" model rather than the company's top flagship. That distinction becomes harder to ignore now that the standard X300 has been discontinued officially.

At Rs 86,999, the X300 FE is priced alongside flagship phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S26, OPPO Find X9 and Xiaomi 17, all of which offer more premium hardware and features. It also starts above the iPhone 17's launch price of Rs 82,900.

Unless photography is your top priority and Vivo's Zeiss-tuned cameras specifically appeal to you, buyers may find better overall value elsewhere. However, we recommend keeping an eye open for compelling sale offers as the season starts in just a few days.

Redmi K90 Ultra with built-in cooling fan, 8,550mAh battery makes its debut

[highlights]

Redmi K90 Ultra price starts at around Rs 41,800.

The handset features an active cooling fan.

It has been launched in China only.

[/highlights]

Redmi K90 Ultra has been launched in China as a new performance-focused phone with a built-in cooling fan. Similar to the Redmi K90 Max, the new K90 Ultra features a built-in cooling fan on the back of the phone. The handset also offers a large display, runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and has a massive 8,550mAh battery. For now, there's no word on the global launch of the Redmi K90 Ultra.

In terms of design, the Redmi K90 Ultra looks quite similar to the K90 Max, with the large camera island on the back housing the sensors and the cooling fan. The entire body is aluminium, giving it a distinct look. Speaking of which, the Redmi K90 Ultra's cooling fan is said to have noise levels as low as 32dB and is claimed to reduce the temperature up to 10°C in 100 seconds. The cooling fan also comes with IPX8 and IPX9 ratings for dust and water resistance. This should help with heat dissipation during long gaming sessions and intensive work.

The Redmi K90 Ultra comes in three colour options: Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue. For durability, the handset comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. Although a gaming-focused phone, the Redmi K90 Ultra still looks quite sleek compared to other options from brands like RedGaming and ROG.

Redmi K90 Ultra specifications

The Redmi K90 Ultra features a 6.83-inch 1.5K M10 display with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. This is a large display with a high refresh rate and resolution, making it a good option for gaming and watching content as well. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with a D2 discrete graphics chip, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and UFS 4.1 flash storage. Although a flagship chipset from 2024, it's still capable of achieving high performance levels.

The handset packs an 8,850mAh battery with 100W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging support. This battery capacity should be more than enough to last an entire day on heavy usage and more for light users.

With the Redmi K90 Ultra, you get a 50MP primary camera with OIS + EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera for selfies. The camera setup may not be versatile, but it should still deliver good photos and videos for casual photography and social media.

In China, the Redmi K90 Ultra starts at CNY 2,999, which translates to Rs 41,800 approx for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The Redmi K90 Ultra is clearly targeted at power users who want a performance-focused phone for intensive use and gaming. If you're looking for a phone that can support your gaming needs and heavy usage like video editing, the Redmi K90 Ultra would be a good choice. However, if your priorities are a versatile camera setup, you might want to check out alternatives from brands like OPPO and Vivo. Buyers should still wait for reviews before making a decision, even though the specs look quite promising.
