boAt has launched its eight-model PartyPal speaker series in India, with Karaoke ProTuner, RGB lighting and prices starting at Rs 9,499.

[highlights]

boAt has launched eight new PartyPal speakers for parties and karaoke.

The PartyPal range features Karaoke ProTuner, DJ controls and RGB lighting.

Prices for the new boAt PartyPal speakers start at Rs 9,499.

[/highlights]

boAt has launched its new PartyPal speaker series in India, which includes eight models for everything from house parties and karaoke nights to larger gatherings. The lineup brings together boAt Signature Sound, karaoke features, DJ controls, RGB lighting and multiple connectivity options, with prices starting at Rs 9,499 and going up to Rs 24,999. Let's check it out in more detail below.

The BoAt PartyPal series brings karaoke and DJ features

The new range includes the PartyPal 650, PartyPal 600 Plus, PartyPal 500, PartyPal 390 Plus, PartyPal 230, PartyPal Boom, PartyPal Ultra and PartyPal Rumbl. Despite differences in size and output, boAt has designed the range around interactive features rather than audio playback alone.

A key feature across the lineup is Karaoke ProTuner, which claims to automatically adjust vocals in real time during karaoke sessions. The speakers also offer features such as RGB lighting, DJ controls, microphone support and guitar connectivity, depending on the model.

The company has designed the speakers for different types of gatherings, with wired and wireless connectivity options across the range.

PartyPal 650 is the flagship model

The PartyPal 650 sits at the top of the new lineup and delivers 300W of audio output. It comes with Karaoke ProTuner and two UHF wireless microphones, making it the most feature-packed option in the range.

The speaker also gets built-in DJ tracks and a dedicated Bass Drop Pad for adding sound effects, while its RGB lighting can sync with music. Users can customise sound and lighting settings through the boAt Hearables app.

For connectivity, the PartyPal 650 supports Bluetooth 5.3, TWS, AUX, USB and TF card playback, along with guitar and wired microphone inputs. It also has built-in wheels for easier portability and offers up to five hours of playback.

Should you buy the boAt PartyPal series?

The eight speakers are priced between Rs 9,499 and Rs 24,999 in India. The full lineup is available through the boAt website, Amazon India, Flipkart and leading retail outlets across the country. The PartyPal 650 is the most expensive model in the range, while the remaining speakers are positioned at lower price points for buyers looking for a more affordable party speaker.

The PartyPal range is for buyers who want more than a conventional Bluetooth speaker, particularly those interested in karaoke, lighting and party-focused users. However, the value heavily depends on the specific model and its sound performance. At the higher end, the PartyPal 650 is in a segment with several established brands, so its 300W output and extra features will need to offer enough of an advantage over rivals to justify the price.

For buyers who mainly want a speaker for music playback, a conventional Bluetooth speaker may offer better value. The PartyPal lineup is more niche and suited to users who want an all-in-one entertainment system for parties and group gatherings.

CMF Buds Neo India launch set for August 20th, will be brand's most accessible earbuds

CMF has teased a new pair of earbuds which are the CMF Buds Neo. Here's what we can expect from the buds.

[highlights]

CMF had earlier teased a new pair of earbuds with a white stem, metallic silver body and orange silicone ear tip.

The earbuds, called the CMF Buds Neo, will be the company's entry point in their lineup.

The current CMF Buds 2 series starts at Rs 2,699 in India and offers features such as ANC, Bluetooth 5.4 and IP55 protection.

[/highlights]

CMF's decision to skip a new smartphone this year due to rising memory prices had left the Nothing sub-brand with a different focus for 2026. After confirming that it would not launch a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, CMF has now teased its next product, the CMF Buds Neo, which will launch in India on August 20th at 12 noon IST. The teaser gives us an early look at the earbuds, including three possible colour options: blue, orange and black.

The teaser follows an earlier close-up image posted by CMF with the tagline "A hint of what's next", which showed a single earbud without revealing its name or launch date. CMF has now confirmed that the product is the Buds Neo and described it as the "most accessible entry point" to the CMF ecosystem.

CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis had previously said the company was working on a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro but decided not to launch it this year because current memory prices made it difficult to deliver a genuine upgrade at a price that made sense. He also confirmed that CMF had several new products and entirely new categories planned for 2026. The Buds Neo appears to be one of those products.

CMF Buds Neo launch and design

The latest teaser shows the earbuds with possible blue, orange and black colour options. The earlier product image revealed a white stem, metallic-looking body and orange silicone ear tip on the showcased variant. At least two microphone openings are visible, while a circular section on the stem appears to be the touch-control area. The design retains some of the visual cues seen on previous CMF earbuds, although the company hasn't confirmed the Buds Neo's specifications.

The Buds Neo are expected to sit below the existing CMF Buds 2 range. The CMF Buds 2 launched in India at Rs 2,699 with 11mm drivers, up to 48dB hybrid ANC, Bluetooth 5.4, IP55 protection and Spatial Audio. The Buds 2 Plus, priced at Rs 3,299, adds 12mm LCP drivers, LDAC support and up to 50dB ANC.

CMF's "most accessible" positioning suggests the Buds Neo could focus on essential features and come in below the Buds 2, although pricing remains unconfirmed. For buyers, the main thing to watch will be whether CMF can offer decent audio, battery life and microphone performance without pushing the price too close to its existing models. More details should arrive when the CMF Buds Neo launches. Considering the date is not too far away, those shopping for affordable audio products should wait it out.

Honor's wide foldable could debut with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro

[highlights]

Honor is reportedly working on a wide foldable.

It's expected to debut later this year.

The foldable could pack a 7,000mAh battery.

[/highlights]

Honor recently launched the Robot Phone, which has a motorised gimbal camera. The Honor Robot Phone is among the most unique smartphones, but with flagship hardware. The brand is now reportedly working on a wide foldable with a form factor similar to the Galaxy Z Fold8. Honor already has a popular lineup of foldables with the traditional book-style design and flip form factor too.

The latest leak on Honor's wide foldable suggests it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, Qualcomm's upcoming flagship chipset. Details about its battery capacity have been leaked too.

Honor wide foldable chipset, battery details (expected)

Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu has shared details on Honor's upcoming wide foldable. It's reportedly being tested with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It's an upcoming flagship chipset built on the 2nm process. If so, the Honor wide foldable would be the first to feature this chipset with this form factor. Considering it's Qualcomm's flagship chipset, you can expect peak performance levels from the previous generation.

Honor's wide foldable is also rumoured to feature a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display. This would give the foldable a more compact form factor with a wider aspect ratio, like the Galaxy Z Fold8. The upcoming Honor foldable is also expected to feature a horizontal camera module. It could house a 7,000mAh battery and a triple-camera setup with a 200MP primary sensor.

With such hardware, Honor could end up offering one of the most powerful foldables on the market. The wide aspect ratio could be the new trend that catches on, as Samsung has introduced it with the Galaxy Z Fold8. Apple's first foldable is also rumoured to feature a similar form factor. This makes the foldable easier to hold and use, and makes it a good choice for multimedia too.

Since it's still early for the Honor wide foldable, we should wait for more details. But if you've been waiting for a wide foldable that also boasts flagship hardware, you should keep an eye on the Honor foldable. This would be a good upgrade for first-time foldable users and those who want to switch from the book-style design.

Apple's camera-equipped AirPods spotted in macOS video, Visual Intelligence features teased

Apple's long-rumoured AirPods with built-in cameras have surfaced in one of the clearest leaks yet. A video demonstrates how the earbuds could use their cameras.

[highlights]

Apple's rumoured camera-equipped AirPods have surfaced in a macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate video demonstrating Visual Intelligence.

The cameras could provide visual information to Siri, allowing it to identify objects and understand the user's surroundings.

Apple hasn't confirmed the AirPods or their launch date, with reports suggesting they could arrive as early as September or later.

[/highlights]

Apple's long-rumoured AirPods with built-in cameras have surfaced in one of the clearest leaks yet. A video found in the macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate by MacRumours appears to demonstrate how the earbuds could use their cameras with Apple's Visual Intelligence features, giving Siri visual information about the user's surroundings.

Camera-equipped AirPods could bring Visual Intelligence

The short video shows a person holding up a book while wearing the purported camera-equipped AirPods. A voiceover explains that Visual Intelligence can make the user's surroundings "savable", suggesting that Siri could recognise something the wearer is looking at and save relevant information for later.

Here is your first look at AirPods with Cameras in action using Visual Intelligence.

This video file came from macOS 26.7 RC pic.twitter.com/yo7RI4MCeu
— Aaron (@aaronp613) August 18, 2026

That is a different approach from Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses, where cameras are also used to understand the environment but can support photo and video capture. Apple's reported implementation appears to treat the cameras primarily as sensors for AI. Instead of taking pictures, they could feed visual information to Siri, allowing users to ask questions about objects around them without reaching for an iPhone.

The software reportedly also includes a warning to keep hair away from the AirPods so their cameras can capture information from the surroundings properly. That suggests the cameras could sit in the earbuds' stems, although Apple hasn't confirmed the hardware.

Launch timeline unclear

The leak is interesting because Apple's reported timeline for these AirPods has changed. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in June that the camera-equipped model, reportedly codenamed B798, had been pushed to late 2027 amid delays with Apple's AI and Siri work. However, recent software references to another model, B790, have fuelled speculation about an earlier AirPods launch. The exact relationship between B790 and the camera-equipped model remains unclear, so a September debut should not be treated as confirmed.

If Apple does eventually launch camera-equipped AirPods, they could occupy a category between conventional wireless earbuds and smart glasses. The pitch would be about making AI available without requiring users to hold up a phone. That could make them compelling for existing AirPods users interested in Apple's AI ecosystem, but there are obvious questions around privacy, battery life and price. For now, buyers looking for better audio should not delay an AirPods purchase solely because of this.

POVA 8 Pro launched in India with Active Matrix Display, Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, 6,500mAh battery

POVA 8 Pro price in India has been officially revealed. Check out the detailed specs, features and other details of the POVA 8 Pro.

[highlights]

POVA 8 Pro rivals the OnePlus Nord 6 and POCO X8 Pro Max under Rs 50,000.

The Active Matrix Display notifies users of calls, notifications, and crucial alerts.

POVA 8 Pro goes on sale on Flipkart and offline channels starting August 21st.

[/highlights]

Following the release of the POVA 8 two months ago, the company has today pulled the curtain off the POVA 8 Pro, which features improved display and performance capabilities. Apart from that, the phone retains the signature sci-fi appearance, with intricate elements on the rear and an even larger Alive Matrix Display than on the POVA 8. With the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, a 50MP Sony LYT700c, and a decently sized 6,500mAh battery, the POVA 8 Pro is aimed at users seeking a balanced smartphone in the Rs 40,000 segment, while flaunting a distinct design.

POVA 8 Pro price, sale, availability

The POVA 8 Pro starts at Rs 49,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the 12GB RAM with 512GB storage variant will sell for Rs 54,999. The phone will be available to purchase starting August 21st at noon on Flipkart and offline retail stores.

The colour options for the POVA 8 Pro include Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green, all featuring small patterns and designs on the rear for a stand-out look.

[gallery link="file" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="712014,712015,712013"]

What the POVA 8 Pro offers

Kicking things off with the display, the POVA 8 Pro gets a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with up to a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500nits peak brightness. Compared to the likes of the OnePlus Nord 6 and POCO X8 Pro Max, the display specifications appear to be on par with the competition.

The POVA 8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, which is paired with UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. Based on our recent experience with phones powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, such as the Realme P4 Power and Redmi Note 15 Pro, one can expect the POVA 8 Pro to run without any hiccups during daily tasks, such as scrolling through social media apps, web browsing, or even playing medium-intensive games for long periods.

On to the optics, the POVA 8 Pro offers a 50MP 1/1.56-inch Sony LYTIA 600c sensor paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 111-degree field of view. While the primary camera sensor on board is superior to, say, the OnePlus Nord 6 (50MP 1/2-inch main), it remains to be seen how well the company has tuned it to deliver sharp results with a balanced dynamic range. On the front, the phone houses a 13MP selfie shooter.

The POVA 8 Pro boots Android 16 out of the box with HiOS 16 layered on top. This is POVA's proprietary skin, featuring a light, glass-based user interface with tons of AI features. The smartphone is promised two OS upgrades along with three years of security updates. Fueling the phone is a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

What sets the POVA 8 Pro apart is its design and appearance. The build is IP69K-rated and features SGS 5-Star drop resistance, meaning it can withstand and absorb shocks from drops up to a certain limit. Coming to the Active Matrix Display, as on the POVA 8, users can be notified of messages, alerts, and calls when the phone is placed face down. Apart from that, users can also add custom interfaces to be displayed when the phone is flipped. The display also lights up and shows specific icons when the phone is playing music or charging.

Is the POVA 8 Pro worth considering?

With the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, a capable 50MP LYTIA 700c primary camera, an IP69K-rated build, and a stand-out design, the POVA 8 Pro is certainly amongst the balanced smartphones out there. However, its rivals under Rs 50,000, such as the OnePlus Nord 6 and POCO X8 Pro Max, offer the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipsets, respectively.

These are flagship-grade chipsets boasting powerful CPUs and GPUs and will certainly offer a better gaming experience than the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, if gaming is one of your top priorities. Furthermore, it also misses out on a telephoto despite featuring a decently sized primary camera sensor. For users seeking detailed long-range zoom shots and portraits, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro could be a better fit.

All in all, if you wish to stand out with a smartphone that looks stylish and futuristic, the POVA 8 Pro could be worth considering. However, don't expect the device to deliver extraordinary performance results compared to current rivals under Rs 50,000.

Realme 16 Pro series, Realme 16 and Realme 16T prices hiked by up to Rs 4,000

[highlights]

Realme 16 Pro+ now starts at Rs 53,999.

Realme 16 and 16T have received Rs 1,000 price hikes.

Both the Realme 16 Pro and Pro+ have received multiple price hikes.

[/highlights]

Realme has again hiked prices of its popular smartphones. The Realme 16 series, which sits in the mid-range segment, has become more expensive, thanks to the rising memory costs that have plagued the smartphone industry. The Realme 16 Pro+, Realme 16 Pro, Realme 16 5G, and Realme 16T have received price hikes up to Rs 4,000. Also, this isn't the first time Realme has hiked the prices of these phones.

Realme 16 Pro+

The Realme 16 Pro+ has received a price hike of up to Rs 4,000 in India. The 8GB + 128GB variant is now priced at Rs 53,999, up from Rs 49,999. This is Rs 14,000 more than its launch price, which was Rs 39,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants have become Rs 3,000 more expensive and now cost Rs 55,999 and Rs 58,999, respectively. This puts the Realme 16 Pro+ among rivals like the iQOO 15R, which offers a faster chipset and bigger battery.

Variant

Old Price

New Price

Hike

8GB + 128GB

Rs 49,999

Rs 53,999

Rs 4,000

8GB + 256GB

Rs 52,999

Rs 55,999

Rs 3,000

12GB + 256GB

Rs 55,999

Rs 58,999

Rs 3,000

Realme 16 Pro

The Realme 16 Pro has also become more expensive in India. The handset also boasts a 144Hz display and a large 7,000mAh battery. The Realme 16 Pro offers a vibrant display, all-day battery life, loud speakers, and robust durability. While it's a good option for multimedia, the chipset might feel underwhelming for power users.

The Realme 16, on the other hand, offers a compact 6.57-inch display, a unique selfie mirror design, and a large 7,000mAh battery. It's an overall balanced mid-range phone. The Realme 16T boasts a massive 8,000mAh battery, making it a good option for endurance.

If what these phones offer aligns with your requirements, then you can go ahead and purchase them. Given these price hikes, explore competitors, which might offer better value at this price point.

OnePlus 16 could boast major display upgrades over OnePlus 15 with inclusion of custom made panel

A new leak hints at the OnePlus 16's display capabilities and improvements over the OnePlus 15.

[highlights]

OnePlus could once again resort to BOE for the OnePlus 16's display.

The OnePlus 16 is reported to feature a 185Hz refresh rate display and Qualcomm's upcoming flagship chipset.

The OnePlus 16 is expected to be unveiled in a few weeks, in September.

[/highlights]

After officially teasing the gaming upgrades the OnePlus 16 is set to gain, a new report hints at the upcoming flagship's display capabilities. Compared to the OnePlus 15, the smartphone could boast all-around upgrades in colour reproduction, power efficiency, and durability, thanks to the inclusion of the BOE X4 panel. While the chances of the OnePlus 16 launching in India are slim, the phone could debut in China in just a few weeks.

OnePlus 16 could feature custom-made BOE X4 panel

Since the OnePlus 12, the company has utilised flagship BOE X series panels for its smartphones. The upcoming OnePlus 16 could continue that tradition by being equipped with the BOE X4, according to the renowned tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo.

The post states that OnePlus has partnered with BOE to develop the X4 panel, which, per internal tests, delivers superior performance to Samsung's latest M-series panel, likely the M14 used on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iQOO 15.

In the past, the OnePlus 12 featured the BOE X1, the OnePlus 13 carries the BOE X2, and the OnePlus 15 was equipped with the BOE X3 panel, so it seems like OnePlus is simply sticking with BOE for its next flagship smartphone while boasting upgrades in several areas. Per DCS, these upgrades include lower power consumption, better longevity, extremely narrow symmetrical bezels, and top-tier circuit design. Per past leaks, the OnePlus 16 could come with an 185Hz refresh rate, if the OnePlus 15's 165Hz refresh rate wasn't already smooth enough.

The post further states that the OnePlus 16 will get several performance technologies, which is likely a hint at faster touch response times, smoother scrolling, and higher brightness levels compared to the OnePlus 15. Furthermore, the OnePlus 16 could highly benefit from the panel's improved power efficiency, especially if it's meant to run at 185Hz natively or with frame interpolation during long gaming sessions. The smartphone is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is expected to be announced at the Snapdragon Summit next month.

OnePlus China president Li Jie has confirmed that the company's three signature gaming technologies will receive major improvements on the next flagship. These include a high refresh rate display, an enhanced Fengchi gaming engine, and upgraded e-sports triple-core hardware.

If these leaks hold true and gaming is a top priority, waiting a few weeks for the OnePlus 16 could be highly beneficial compared to purchasing a current flagship, especially if the phone launches in India. However, if you're content with existing high refresh rates, the upgrade might not be compelling enough to justify an immediate purchase.

Vivo V80 Lite teasers start appearing, launch could be close

The Vivo V80 Lite could be launching soon in a few regions, as unofficial teasers have started appearing in different places. Here are the details.

[highlights]

Vivo has reportedly started teasing the Vivo V80 Lite in Pakistan.

A teaser has also been posted by an offline store from Madhya Pradesh, India.

The Vivo V80 Lite could be a rebadged Vivo S2 in some markets.

[/highlights]

Vivo could be kicking things off for its next V-series lineup. Even though news arrived that the next V80 series may be delayed, things may be kicking off with the Lite model in the lineup. Vivo company has reportedly started teasing the Vivo V80 Lite in Pakistan, and a teaser even appearing on Instagram by an offline store in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The Vivo V80 Lite is shaping up to be a familiar phone in a new package. The teasers reveal only a curved display while keeping most details under wraps. However, a series of certification listings and database appearances suggest the V80 Lite could be a rebadged Vivo S2, which recently launched in India.

Vivo V80 Lite launch

The V80 Lite 5G has appeared under several model numbers in certification listings signifying a global launch. Malaysia's SIRIM database also lists model number V2626 for the phone. The V2576 connection is particularly interesting because it's also the model number associated with the Vivo S2. The V80 Lite has also appeared on the Google Play Supported Devices List, Geekbench, TUV and Bluetooth SIG databases. Its appearances on Malaysia's SIRIM and Europe's EEC certification sites suggest Vivo could be preparing for launch in these regions.

Reusing the S2 hardware would not be unusual for Vivo. Smartphone brands often rebrand existing models for different markets to fill regional lineups without developing a completely new device.

Expected specifications

Vivo's V-series typically focuses on design, cameras and everyday features rather than top-end performance. If the V80 Lite is indeed based on the Vivo S2, it could feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is also tipped to have a 7,050mAh battery while measuring just 7.39 mm thick, making battery capacity and slim design two potential highlights.

The chipset is less certain. Earlier reports pointed to the Dimensity 7360 Turbo, which is present in the S2, but a Geekbench listing for the V2626 model suggests the Dimensity 7300e instead. There's a possibility different regions could get different chipsets. TUV certification has also indicated 44W charging, while earlier reports claimed 90W support, so the final charging specification may vary by market.

For cameras, the phone is expected to feature a 32MP selfie camera and a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary rear sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and Vivo's Aura Light. Other expected features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68/IP69 protection and Android 16-based OriginOS 6.

Compared with rivals in the same segment, the V80 Lite could appeal more to buyers who prioritise battery life, display quality and design. However, Vivo has yet to confirm the specifications or pricing. With memory costs also putting pressure on smartphone prices, waiting for the official launch makes sense.

[highlights]

iQOO Z11 will feature a dual-camera setup.

It will get a 32MP front camera.

The handset is launch with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

[/highlights]

The iQOO Z11 is set to launch in India on August 20th as the third phone in the lineup. Ahead of the launch, the brand has been teasing key details about the iQOO Z11. The latest teasers confirm details about the Z11's cameras and software update policy. This gives us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming iQOO handset.

iQOO Z11 cameras

The iQOO Z11 is confirmed to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Up front, it gets a 32MP camera for selfies. The camera setup is quite basic and does not offer much versatility, since it lacks a telephoto lens. However, considering the price hikes, you might find similar camera setups in the same segment.

iQOO Z11 software update policy

iQOO has confirmed that the Z11 will receive three major Android upgrades (up to Android 19) and five years of security updates. On the software front, the handset will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. It will also get several AI features such as AI Captions, AI Creation, AI Routing, Conversation Memory, and Circle to Search. With the phone targeted for college students, iQOO will be offering unlimited AI credits for AI Captions and AI Creation to students.

iQOO Z11 specifications

The iQOO Z11 will feature a large 6.8-inch 3D curved AMOLED 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness. The handset will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, making it the first phone in India to launch with this chipset. We should know more about the phone's performance once we review the device.

iQOO has also confirmed a 7,050mAh battery for the Z11, which should be enough for an entire day or more depending on your usage. The handset is also getting IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It will be available in Celestial Blue and Aurora Green colours, housing a slim horizontal camera bar at the back.

The iQOO Z11 is also expected to be priced under Rs 40,000 in India based on the teasers shared by the brand. This would put the Z11 against contenders like the Motorola Edge 70 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE6. Based on the available details, the iQOO Z11 could appeal to people looking for a dependable mid-range phone with a good display and large battery for multimedia and gaming. Since the launch is only two days away, we'd advise waiting for official details before making a buying decision.

Here's everything you need to know about Jio Prime and affordable prepaid plans:

Jio Prime membership price, features

The Jio Prime membership is priced at Rs 300, making it three times more expensive than before. In return, the membership is offering assurance of no price hikes for a year until September 5th, 2027, even if the company announces price revisions during the period. Apart from this, there are other benefits such as Rs 300 cashback for adding a new Jio SIM connection for friends or family and a redeemable voucher for a new JioHome or JioPC connection.

Jio Prime

Price

Rs 300

Features

No tariff hike for a year, until September 5th

Rs 300 Cashback for Jio SIM referral

Rs 300 voucher for new JioHome or JioPC connection

Priority customer support

Early access to Jio Products, services, and trials

Users are also slated to get priority customer support through a dedicated service channel, early access to new Jio products, services and trials, and 'additional member exclusive benefits' during the period.

How to get Jio Prime membership

The Jio Prime membership is available starting today. Both existing and new users can subscribe to the membership through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Jio stores, and Jio partner stores.

Jio Rs 299 prepaid plan

Taking a jibe at Airtel, which recently discontinued its affordable Rs 299 plan, Jio has reassured users that it will continue to offer the Rs 299 prepaid plan with unchanged benefits. The plan is available across circles and offers 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS/day, a free 18-month Google Gemini Pro subscription with 5TB storage worth Rs 31,500, and a JioHotstar subscription. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days.

As of writing this article, Jio's Rs 239 remains its most affordable plan for prepaid users in India. The plan offers similar benefits as the Rs 299 plan, but with 23 days' validity.

Why is Jio relaunching Prime membership?

This makes Jio a better choice for users looking for affordability, while its Prime membership offers further assurance against tariff hikes, which are all but confirmed. All three major telcos, Airtel, Vi, and Jio, are expected to increase the prices of their prepaid plans by up to 15 percent over the next three to four months. In fact, Airtel has already scrapped several of its plans.

Per reports, the price hike could be announced between late October and December 2026. This is being done to increase average revenue per user (ARPU) for the telcos.

Should You Buy a Galaxy A Series Phone This Festive Season?

The festive season in India isn't just about lights and sweets anymore; it's also when smartphone upgrades make the most financial sense. From Independence Day sales to Dussehra, Pujo, Diwali, and the year-end offer window, this stretch is when brands roll out their sharpest pricing of the year. And if you've been eyeing a new phone to replace your older one, then there are some great choices available in this festive window.

Why Festive Season Is the Best Time to Buy?

One of the reasons why festive season is a great time to buy new smartphones is that you get some of the best offers from phone brands during this season. For example, Samsung's Upgrade Offer and industry-best up to 24-Month No-Cost EMI structure aren't always live; they cluster around festive sale periods when Samsung.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and Samsung Experience Stores compete to offer the steepest price drops on the Galaxy A. Buying outside this window usually means paying full price with none of the cashback layered on top. So if a Samsung Galaxy A mobile offer has been on your radar, the festive season is when the math finally works in your favour.

Best deal under Rs 50,000: The Flagship-Adjacent Option

At the top of this festive value ladder sits the Galaxy A57 5G (8GB+256GB), priced at ₹48,499, with an instant cashback of up to ₹10,000, inclusive of a ₹4,500 brand discount and a ₹5,500 bank/UPI cashback/upgrade bonus (inclusive of all taxes). EMI works out to ₹67/day on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan with zero down payment.

The Galaxy A57 is where the Galaxy A series starts delivering a genuinely flagship-adjacent experience. With bigger storage, a more capable camera setup, and features such as 4K selfie video recording, something the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro doesn't offer at this price, with its front camera capped at 1080p 30fps/60fps, the A57 has the kind of headroom that makes it feel less like a compromise and more like a smart long-term upgrade. For festive gifting in particular, that combination of camera capability, performance, storage, and Samsung's broader ecosystem makes a compelling case. At around ₹48,499, alternatives such as the Nothing Phone series may compete with a different design and software approach, but the Galaxy A57 stands out as the more complete, well-rounded package, particularly for buyers looking for a device they can comfortably hold on to for years.

Smartphones to consider under Rs 40,000: The Middle Ground

If your budget is strictly under Rs. 40,000, the Galaxy A37 5G (8GB+128GB) is another great option. You're looking at ₹36,499, with 24 months of no-cost EMI, and an EMI starting from ₹50/day, based on a 6-month down payment plan that includes a ₹5,500 bank/UPI cashback or upgrade bonus.

This is the sweet-spot pick for buyers who prefer RAM headroom, stronger camera capabilities, and a polished overall experience without stepping into flagship-adjacent pricing. With features such as 10-bit selfie HDR video, the Galaxy A37 offers meaningful camera advantages over rivals like the iQOO Neo and POCO X series, which typically rely on dual-camera setups in this segment. It makes the A37 particularly compelling for buyers treating the festive season as a genuine upgrade cycle rather than simply replacing an older phone. At ₹36,499, some competing devices may place greater emphasis on older-generation flagship chipsets and benchmark scores, but the Galaxy A37 offers a stronger all-round proposition for buyers who value the complete experience, combining capable cameras, ample memory, everyday performance, and Samsung's refined software and ecosystem.

Best deals to grab under Rs 30,000: The Budget Play

The Galaxy A27 5G (6GB+128GB) anchors the entry point of this festive lineup, priced at ₹31,999, with EMI starting at just ₹44/day. That's the per-day cost on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan with a 6-month down payment, financed through select NBFCs.

At this price, the Galaxy A27 5G makes a compelling case for buyers looking for a dependable, well-rounded smartphone without stretching their budget. It combines solid battery life, Samsung's polished One UI experience, and a refined design that feels distinctly more premium than its price positioning suggests. With the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and support for HDR video recording, it also brings meaningful advantages over similarly priced Redmi Note devices powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and realme Number series alternatives, many of which remain limited to 1080p video recording.

While some rivals may compete aggressively on individual specifications such as battery capacity, charging speeds, or higher refresh-rate displays, the Galaxy A27 5G focuses on the experience that matters beyond the spec sheet. Samsung's longer software-support runway, versatile camera system, mature software ecosystem, and extensive after-sales network make it a particularly strong long-term choice and, arguably, the more complete package for buyers who want their festive-season purchase to remain reliable and relevant for years.

Does the EMI and Cashback Structure Make Sense?

The no-cost EMI framework driving these prices down is worth understanding rather than taking at face value:

No-cost EMI spreads the price over up to 24 months without added interest; this is what brings the per-day cost into double digits even on the Galaxy A57.

Bank cashback and Samsung's upgrade bonus work as alternatives, not stackable add-ons; you pick one per order, not both.

Exchange bonuses sit on top where applicable, though the final value is set at the dealer's discretion.

Instant discounts (₹10,000 on the A57) apply upfront, before financing kicks in.

Put together, the actual value here comes from several smaller, legitimate savings stacking up rather than one headline discount doing all the work.

FAQs

1. Is this the right time to upgrade to a Galaxy A series phone?

If an upgrade has already been on the cards, the festive season is when the Galaxy A series offers its steepest pricing of the year, and with memory and storage costs pushing phone prices up going forward, waiting is unlikely to result in a better deal later.

2. Which Galaxy A series phone offers the best value this festive season?

It depends on the budget. The Galaxy A27 5G is the pick under ₹30,000, the Galaxy A37 5G covers the ₹40,000 band, and the Galaxy A57 5G leads the sub-₹50,000 segment. Each is the strongest offer in its own price band rather than one model beating the others outright.

3. Can the Samsung Upgrade Offer be combined with bank cashback?

No. The upgrade bonus and bank/UPI cashback are structured as alternatives rather than stackable benefits, so only one can be applied per order. However, there is a merit in checking out a channel of your choice, be it a Samsung Experience Store, Amazon, Flipkart, or a trusted retailer near you.

Boltt details display specifications of its upcoming Ace 5G and Evo 4G smartphones

Boltt has detailed the display specifications of its upcoming Ace and Evo smartphones, while Flipkart has teased their key battery and camera specifications.

[highlights]

The Boltt Ace and Evo will flaunt HD+ displays.

The Boltt Ace and Evo are set to launch in India on August 25th.

The upcoming Boltt smartphones could take on the Lava Virat V1 series.

[/highlights]

Following the full-fledged design reveal of the Boltt Ace and Boltt Evo, the company has officially revealed today the display specifications and capabilities of these smartphones. The Fire-Boltt's spin-off smartphone brand will launch these smartphones on August 25th. Boltt will release these smartphones in the Rs 10,000-Rs 20,000 segment exclusively on Flipkart at launch. Furthermore, Flipkart has officially teased several key specifications of these smartphones.

Boltt Ace and Evo display details revealed

Boltt claims that the Ace and Evo smartphones will offer a "large, smooth, and bright viewing experience to users". Despite the price differences, both devices will be equipped with a 6.79-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 × 1640 and a pixel density of 263ppi. The panels will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits peak brightness. It's also worth noting that a punch-hole cutout will be present to feature the front-facing camera, resulting in an immersive viewing experience.

While these are the standard set of display specifications found on most smartphones under Rs 20,000 these days, it remains to be seen how the panels have been tuned. The display's contrast, vibrancy, viewing angles, and brightness performance under sunlight matter as much as the specifications.

Flipkart teases key specifications of Boltt Ace and Evo

Per the Flipkart teaser, both handsets will feature a large 6,000mAh battery. While the Boltt Ace supports 18W fast charging, the charging speeds of the Boltt Evo haven't been revealed. Moving on, Boltt says that the 64MP and 50MP primary cameras of the Ace and Evo, respectively, are powered by Google Gemini, hinting that AI enhancements could be on the way to improve the pictures after you click.

Boltt has set up over 480 service partners across India that offer walk-in support and end-to-end repairs, so users can get the issues they're facing with their Boltt smartphones fixed. Besides that, both phones will sport a close-to-stock Android interface with no bloatware, as assured by Arnav Kishore, Founder & CEO of Boltt, in a conversation with 91mobiles.

Given the sub-Rs 20,000 price, the Boltt Ace and Evo could stand as alternative choices to the recently released Lava Virat V1 4G and Lava Virat V1 5G (review), both of which sell under Rs 15,000, at least at this point time. Those smartphones also carry a bloatware-free software and flaunt HD+ displays. Therefore, it could be worth waiting for Boltt smartphones, especially if the offer a distinct software experience compared to the competition.

POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max get their third price hike in India, with prices rising by up to Rs 3,000 across variants.

[highlights]

POCO has increased the prices of the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max for the third time.

The POCO X8 Pro now starts at Rs 39,999 after an Rs 3,000 hike.

The POCO X8 Pro Max now starts at Rs 48,999 in India.

[/highlights]

POCO has increased the prices of the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max in India for the third time since their launch. The latest revision raises prices by up to Rs 3,000, with all four variants of the two smartphones now costing more than they did after the previous hike. Check out the details below:

POCO X8 Pro, X8 Pro Max revised prices

The POCO X8 Pro Max (review) has received an Rs 2,000 price hike on both its storage variants. The 12GB + 256GB model now costs Rs 48,999, up from Rs 46,999, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 52,999, compared with Rs 50,999 earlier.

X8 Pro Max variant

Previous price

New price

12GB + 256GB

Rs 46,999

Rs 49,999

12GB + 512GB

Rs 50,999

Rs 52,999

This is the third price hike for the X8 Pro Max since launch. The 12GB + 256GB model has now become Rs 6,000 more expensive than its original Rs 42,999 launch price, while the 512GB variant has risen by the same amount from its initial Rs 46,999 price.

The POCO X8 Pro has received a larger Rs 3,000 increase across both variants. Its 8GB + 256GB model now costs Rs 39,999, up from Rs 36,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant has gone from Rs 39,999 to Rs 42,999.

X8 Pro variant

Previous price

New price

8GB + 256GB

Rs 36,999

Rs 39,999

12GB + 512GB

Rs 39,999

Rs 42,999

This is also the third price hike for the X8 Pro. Both variants are now Rs 7,000 above their launch prices, with the 8GB + 256GB model having increased from Rs 32,999 and the 12GB + 256GB variant from Rs 35,999.

Price revisions have become common across the smartphone market as brands look to offset rising memory prices.

Should you buy the POCO X8 Pro or X8 Pro Max?

The latest hike makes the POCO X8 Pro not as value-centric as its launch, particularly now that the base 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs 39,999. At this price, buyers have more options to consider, including phones, which offer a better overall package despite lower performance in some areas. One such example is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, which is also a stellar camera phone and a good performer.

The POCO X8 Pro Max remains the more premium option, but its Rs 48,999 starting price places it in a more competitive segment. The 12GB + 512GB variant now crosses Rs 50,000 and faces competition from other performance-centric phones like the iQOO 15R or the Motorola Edge 70 Max, making it less of a clear choice than it used to be.

Users who do not need to upgrade immediately are better off waiting, especially since further price hikes still remain a possibility. If you do need a performance-centric smartphone soon, it's best to buy these devices right now.

The price increase is likely linked to the memory shortage crisis the entire smartphone and tech industry is currently facing, as storage and memory components are being acquired by AI companies, thereby reducing the supply available for commercial use.

OPPO to hike prices of Reno 16 series, A6s, A6x

Per a post by X user Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu), OPPO is set to increase the prices of the following smartphones:

Phone

Storage

Old price

New price

OPPO Reno 16

8GB + 256GB

Rs 61,999

Rs 66,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 67,999

Rs 72,999

OPPO Reno 16c

8GB + 128GB

Rs 46,999

Rs 49,999

8GB + 256GB

Rs 49,999

Rs 53,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 55,999

Rs 59,999

OPPO A6s 5G

4GB + 128GB

Rs 22,999

Rs 24,999

6GB + 128GB

Rs 24,999

Rs 27,999

OPPO A6x 5G

4GB + 64GB

Rs 17,999

Rs 18,999

4GB + 128GB

Rs 19,999

Rs 21,999

6GB + 128GB

Rs 22,999

Rs 24,999

The OPPO Reno 16 sees a considerable Rs 5,000 increase across both storage variants, while the Reno 16c sees a price increase of up to Rs 4,000 on its 256GB storage models. The OPPO A6s 5G, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, was initially launched at Rs 18,999 for the base variant and is now Rs 6,000 more expensive than its launch price.

In other news, the price of the Flipkart-exclusive OPPO K13 Turbo Pro has also been increased. The 8+256GB variant goes up from Rs 37,999 to Rs 41,999, while the 12+256GB variant sees a Rs 5,000 increase.

Phone

Storage

Old price

New price

OPPO K13 Turbo Pro

8GB + 256GB

Rs 37,999

Rs 41,999

12GB + 256GB

Rs 39,999

Rs 44,999

Are these phones still worth purchasing?

OPPO Reno 16

Given the tip turns out to be true, the OPPO Reno 16 at Rs 66,999 will go against the Xiaomi 17T, a similar camera-focused smartphone that currently sells for Rs 64,999. On the other hand, the Vivo X200T is still selling for Rs 59,999 on Flipkart, which offers the much superior Dimensity 9400+ over the Reno 16's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. However, the Reno 16 targets users who need a compact, handy phone, thanks to its 6.3-inch display. It also features a 3D hologram pattern on the rear, which is sure to catch attention in public.

Given these two aspects, if you're the right target audience, the Reno 16 could be worth a look, even if it means fewer performance gains than others in the under Rs 70,000 segment. Other compact phones, such as the Vivo X300 FE, are now touching the Rs 90,000 price mark.

OPPO Reno 16c

The OPPO Reno 16c, with a retail price of Rs 49,999, will make it one of the most expensive phones in India to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. However, given that it offers a flexible rear camera setup with a 50MP telephoto lens alongside the primary and ultrawide lenses, it remains one of the few picks for users wanting a camera-oriented smartphone.

Its rivals include the POCO X8 Pro Max, OnePlus Nord 6, and the Redmi Turbo 5, none of which offer a telephoto lens for long-range zoom shots or sharp close-ups. However, if a balanced approach to performance and a reliable primary camera is something you expect from your smartphone, opting for the stated rivals could be a wiser choice.

OPPO A6s and A6x

The OPPO A6s and A6x now match the price points of other Dimensity 6300-based smartphones, such as the Realme P4R, Realme 16x, and OnePlus N6, all of which also retail between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000. Given the similar set of specifications across all these handsets, such as an HD+ display, a 50MP primary camera, over 7,000mAh batteries, and similar performance gains, opting for either will offer you a similar day-to-day experience.

OPPO K13 Turbo Pro

The OPPO K13 Turbo Pro remains an excellent choice for hardcore mobile gamers and casual users. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 on board, it still costs less than the OnePlus Nord 6 (Rs 46,999), while offering a similar software experience. On top of this, it also gets a dedicated cooling fan to keep temperatures in check during intensive gaming, while the camera setup is modest, with a 50MP + 2MP rear setup, whereas the Nord 6 gains an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Redmi Note 17 series global launch set for August 18th, Pro Max teased to come with 10,000mAh battery

The Redmi Note 17 series is going global and here's everything we know about the phones before they step outside of their home turf.

[highlights]

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 17 series globally in Malaysia on August 18th, including the new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

The series is teased to come with a 10,000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro launched in China in July.

[/highlights]

Xiaomi is taking the Redmi Note 17 series outside China, with the lineup set to launch in Malaysia on August 18th. The global range will also introduce the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, a new top-end model that sits above the Note 17 and Note 17 Pro and was not part of the Chinese lineup.

The Pro Max is also bringing the biggest battery yet to a Redmi Note phone. Xiaomi says it will use a silicon-carbon battery with up to 10,000mAh capacity. This comes at a time when brands are scrambling to join the list of 10,000mAh battery phones, with Vivo, Honor and Realme already in there.

Redmi Note 17

The Chinese Redmi Note 17 uses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, 7-inch OLED display, 8,000mAh battery with 45W charging and a 50MP main camera. It also has an IP65 rating. The global version specifications, leaked earlier by tipster Sudhanshu, shows the same chipset and 45W charging but appears to make several changes. It's tipped to get a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 7,700mAh battery and 16MP selfie camera, compared to the China variant's 8MP. Storage is expected to go up to 256GB, with microSD expansion up to 2TB. It's tipped to come in Celestial Purple, Sky Teal and Black.

Redmi Note 17 Pro

The Chinese Note 17 Pro packs a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging and a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor. The global model is tipped to retain the chipset and display but use an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery. The camera setup gets a bigger upgrade, with a 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultrawide replacing the Chinese model's 2MP secondary sensor. Up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage are also listed. Colour options are Black, Sky Blue, Satin Orange and Purple.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is the headline addition, and the first 'Pro Max' in the lineup after Xiaomi introduced equivalents in the Redmi K-series, the flagship Xiaomi 17 series and the POCO X8 series. There is no equivalent Chinese model to compare it with, making this a new tier for the global range. The leaked sheet lists a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP OIS main camera, 8MP ultrawide and 32MP selfie camera. It's expected in Black, Cloud Blush, Green and Purple, with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Pro Max also gets 100W charging and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. A Geekbench listing has already pointed to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and 8GB RAM, giving the global model an early performance profile.

However, even though Xiaomi has teased a 10,000mAh battery, the leak by Sudhanshu shows a 9,210mAh typical-capacity battery with 100W charging.

For buyers, the Pro looks like the most balanced upgrade, especially with OIS and an ultrawide camera. The Pro Max is aimed at users who value battery life and faster charging above all else. Xiaomi is expected to reveal pricing and confirm the full specifications at the Malaysian launch on August 18th.

POVA AI Buds Pro launched in India with 48dB ANC, AI recording and real-time translation

Tecno's sub-brand has launched the POVA AI Buds Pro in India, bringing a set of AI-focused features to the company's latest TWS earbuds.

[highlights]

POVA AI Buds Pro offer up to 48dB hybrid ANC, an eight-microphone array and dual-device connectivity.

The earbuds support AI recording, transcription, meeting summaries and real-time translation across 78 languages.

Priced at Rs 14,999, they will launch at Rs 12,499 on August 22nd via Amazon India and Flipkart.

[/highlights]

Tecno's POVA sub-brand has launched the POVA AI Buds Pro in India, bringing a set of AI-focused features to the company's latest TWS earbuds. Alongside up to 48dB hybrid ANC, the earbuds can record conversations, transcribe them, generate summaries and offer real-time translation. The buds have launched in the sub-Rs 15,000 segment in the country.

Specifications and features

The POVA AI Buds Pro feature an eight-microphone array with a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) for calls, along with up to 48dB hybrid active noise cancellation. They also support dual-device connectivity, allowing users to pair the earbuds with two devices at once. The charging case has a dedicated red Quick Note button that can start an audio recording without requiring a connected phone. The earbuds have up to four hours of onboard recording storage. The AI Meeting Summary feature can then transcribe recorded conversations and turn them into summaries and action items.

Real-time translation is another key feature, with support for 78 languages. Tecno says the feature is designed to work through the earbuds, which could be useful for conversations with people speaking different languages. The POVA AI Buds Pro are rated for up to 40 hours of total playback with the charging case. The case supports both USB Type-C wired charging and Qi wireless charging, while the earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.

The hardware is not unusual for this price segment, where ANC, dual-device connectivity and long battery life are already common. Tecno is using AI tools as the main differentiator. That makes the earbuds more interesting for users who regularly attend meetings, record conversations or need translation than for buyers simply looking for noise cancellation.

Price and availability

The POVA AI Buds Pro are priced at Rs 14,999 in India, but will launch at an introductory price of Rs 12,499. Buyers can also get a Rs 1,000 bank discount and no-cost EMI options. The earbuds will go on sale from August 22nd at 12 noon through Amazon India and Flipkart.

At Rs 12,499, the POVA AI Buds Pro will sit above options such as the Nothing Ear, which launched at Rs 11,999. Buyers who mainly care about sound quality and ANC have plenty of alternatives, so Tecno's AI features will need to work reliably to justify the higher price. Users who want recording, transcription and translation built into their earbuds should consider these earbuds.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra surfaces on Google Play Console, may feature flagship MediaTek Dimensity chipset

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced on Google Play Console, revealing its key specifications and features.

[highlights]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could launch running Android 17.

The tablet will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra's launch could be just around the corner.

[/highlights]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, was launched in September last year. In typical fashion, the company is expected to release its successors in the same timeframe this year. In conjunction with this, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced on the Google Play Console, revealing its processor, RAM configuration, Android version, and even the front appearance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra spotted on Google Play Console

A new Google Play Console listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has revealed that the upcoming flagship tablet could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. While the listing doesn't explicitly state the processor's name, the 'System on chip' name MT6993 directly hints at the Dimensity 9500. Just like other devices with the said chipset, the Tab S12 Ultra will carry an octa-core CPU structure comprising an ARM C1-Ultra big core, paired with an ARM Mali G1-Ultra GPU.

[gallery link="file" columns="2" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="711902,711901"]

Moving on, the RAM is listed as '11.7GB to 11.8GB', meaning the tablet will have this amount of usable RAM, while the total RAM may be 12GB, at least for this specific storage variant that has surfaced on the Play Console. The device runs on Android 17 Beta, likely One UI 9, which recently debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The listing has also revealed the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra's display, which looks identical to the Tab S11 Ultra's, featuring a dew-drop notch and fairly slim, symmetrical bezels. The resolution is 1848 x 2960 with a pixel density of 280 ppi, per the listing, which is again similar to its predecessor.

How is Samsung expected to position the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra?

Given the addition of MediaTek's current-generation flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9500, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could certainly fetch a much higher price than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with the Dimensity 9400+. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra was launched for Rs 1,10,999, and given the ongoing memory crisis, the newest Samsung tablet could easily be Rs 10,000 or more expensive.

Considering the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra looks nearly identical to the Tab S11 Ultra from the front, it could also feature a large 14.6-inch AMOLED display, suitable for binge-watching content with vibrant, high-contrast tones. On the other hand, the standard Galaxy Tab S12 could also tag along with its 'Ultra' counterpart, which may feature a smaller display at a lower price point. Overall, the tablet could be presented as the best Samsung has to offer in 2026. With the Dimensity 9500, it should be able to handle any task, big or small, with ease, while One UI 9 will offer advanced multitasking features, such as opening three to four windows at a time, as we recently saw on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series.

If you're seeking a top-of-the-line Android tablet, it could be worth waiting for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra's debut for its performance prowess, AMOLED display, and mature software experience.

The Moto G Max 5G is the company's latest mid-range offering and an all-new addition to the G-series lineup. While the handset may appear similar to the Moto G57 Power, it sets itself apart with a superior 32MP selfie camera, earning it the top spot in the lineup. The smartphone is priced in India for under Rs 30,000, positioning it close to another latest entrant in the segment, the Redmi Note 17 5G (review), which boasts an AMOLED display and 8,000mAh battery.

Which one should you consider buying? While the Motorola smartphone is limited to that, the Redmi Note 17 is also available in an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration, priced at Rs 29,999.

The Redmi Note 17 can be purchased via Amazon.in right now, the Moto G Max will go on sale from August 20th onwards through Flipkart across the country. Both smartphones come in three colourways. The Redmi Note 17 is available in Arctic Blue, Dark Night, and Starlight Purple, whereas the Moto G Max features Pantone-certified Stargazer, Alaskan Blue, and Malaga shades.

Variant

Moto G Max

Redmi Note 17

6GB + 128GB

Rs 27,999

Rs 27,999

8GB + 128GB

NA

Rs 29,999

Design and display

The Moto G Max might appear slightly more appealing, thanks to its satin-inspired finish and design, which resembles the more premium Edge-series lineup. The handset features a slightly protruding camera module, but it blends neatly into the back panel, with the edges gently sloping around it for a smoother finish. Motorola has also done a good job of highlighting the edges of the dual camera rings in a shade that complements the smartphone's overall colour scheme.

The Moto G Max also takes durability into account, with Corning Gorilla 7i protection for the display, an IP64 rating against minor splashes of water and dust, and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability to protect it from drops and falls. The smartphone measures 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 213 grams, which is understandable given its beefy battery. The handset may also lack a premium in-hand feel due to its plastic frame.

This similarity extends to its counterpart, Redmi Note 17, which boasts a slightly understated look. The smartphone features a standard back panel, with a squircle camera module. Similar to the Moto smartphone, the Note 17 also sports Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. While it may not be military-grade certified, the smartphone offers a superior IP65 rating.

However, the Redmi Note 17 should feel heavier to hold, with 225 grams of weight, owing to a bigger battery than the Moto G Max.

As for the display, the Redmi Note 17 should offer a better experience with its large 6.9-inch AMOLED panel that bears FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can go up to 1,800 nits bright for a comfortable viewing experience outdoors under direct sunlight. The display is also near bezel-less, with a punch-hole setup for the selfie camera, for an uninterrupted viewing experience.

[comparative-benchmark type="2000" products="42356,42253,,," ][/comparative-benchmark]

On the contrary, the Moto G Max packs a 6.72-inch FHD+ display of LCD variety and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the smartphone is capable of offering sharp visuals, it may not be as punchy and crisp as the Redmi Note 17. Moreover, the smartphone only offers a peak brightness of 1050 nits and isn't as bezel-less as its counterpart.

On the bright side, however, the Moto G Max packs dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack for users preferring wired listening instead of wireless. The Redmi Note 17 sports a mono bottom-firing speaker.

Performance and software

The Redmi Note 17 runs HyperOS layered atop Android 16 out of the box, with four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates promised. The handset is powered by a 5G-capable Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC under the hood, aided by up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The hardware looks capable for basic usage; however, its memory and data transfer speeds seem underwhelming.

[comparative-benchmark type="3000" products="42356,42253,,," pias=",,,,"][/comparative-benchmark]

The Moto G Max, on the other hand, rocks a 5G-capable Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset under the hood, paired with relatively faster LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. We will actually be testing the performance in the real world in the full review, but benchmark results of the chipset show it is superior to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4.

Software-wise, the Moto G Max boots Android 16-based Hello UI; however, its support falls behind the Redmi Note 17 by a margin. The handset will only be relevant until 2029, with two major OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

Cameras

In optics, both smartphones sport a dual camera setup with a 50MP main sensor. The secondary camera on the Moto G Max is an 8MP snapper, which can capture wide perspective as well as macro shots. The Redmi Note 17's auxiliary sensor, on the other hand, is a pretty basic 2MP depth sensor.

The Moto smartphone's front-facing camera is also superior, with a 32MP sensor as opposed to 8MP on the Redmi Note 17. On paper, the Moto G Max seems a more capable smartphone for photography.

Battery and charging

On paper, the Redmi Note 17 outperforms the Moto G Max. The Redmi smartphone packs an 8,000mAh battery, with 45W fast charging, whereas the Moto G Max ships with a 7,000mAh battery and charging speeds capped at 30W. Both smartphones ship with a compatible charger and support reverse wired charging.

[caption id="attachment_710900" align="aligncenter" width="600"] The Redmi Note 17 features an in-display fingerprint scanner, whereas the Moto G Max sports a side-mounted scanner.[/caption]

While both smartphones should take near-identical time for a full charge, the Redmi Note 17 could actually outrun Moto G Max in real-world endurance. The AMOLED panel is generally more battery efficient than the LCD panel. It will be interesting to see how well Moto G Max is optimised for actual usage.

Verdict

The Moto G Max has the edge in performance, cameras, audio, and a more distinctive design, while the Redmi Note 17 offers a superior AMOLED display, a larger battery, faster charging, and longer software support. Overall, the Redmi Note 17 appears to be the more complete package. As for the Moto G Max, it is worth considering if performance and cameras are higher on your priority list.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy A08 and A07s spotted on Google Play Console: key specifications revealed

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy A08 and A07s appear on Google Play Console, revealing key hardware details ahead of their expected launches.

[highlights]

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE listing suggests an Exynos 2500 chipset, 8GB RAM and 45W charging

The Galaxy A08 listing reveals a MediaTek chipset, 8GB RAM and an HD+ display

The Galaxy A07s may come with around 4GB of RAM

[/highlights]

Samsung appears to be preparing for three new smartphone launches. We've spotted the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A07s on the Google Play Console. The listings reveal key hardware details for all three phones, including their processors, graphics hardware, RAM and display resolutions. Let's check it out below:

The Galaxy S26 FE listing key hardware details

The Galaxy S26 FE has appeared on the Google Play Console with model number SM-S741U, the same model seen in earlier certification listings. The listing also identifies the phone with Samsung's s5e9955 platform and an Xclipse 950 GPU, which is in line with the Exynos 2500 chipset.

[gallery link="file" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" columns="2" ids="711914,711912"]

The listing shows around 8GB of RAM, a 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution, and a 450DPI screen density. It also confirms support for a recent version of Android. Earlier leaks have pointed out that the phone will support 45W fast charging as well.

Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy S26 FE is due to launch later this year, and the new listing suggests development is moving ahead of the launch.

Galaxy A08: key details

The Galaxy A08s has also surfaced on Google Play Console, with model number SM-A085F. It is listed with a MediaTek chipset and around 8GB of RAM, which could make it an interesting upgrade in Samsung's budget range.

[gallery link="file" columns="2" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="711910,711911"]

The phone has a 720 x 1600-pixel display, 300 and uses the same MediaTek platform seen on the Galaxy A07s. That suggests the two phones could share some core hardware while differing in memory and other features. The A08's appearance on Google Play Console does not reveal its expected price, cameras, battery or launch date, so those details remain unclear for now.

Galaxy A07s: key details

The third phone in the listing is the Galaxy A07s, carrying model number SM-A077M. Despite its lower position in Samsung's range, the phone appears to use the same MediaTek chipset as the Galaxy A08.

[gallery link="file" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" columns="2" ids="711909,711913"]

The key difference shown in the listings is memory, as the Galaxy A07s is listed with around 4GB of RAM, compared with roughly 8GB on the A08. Both phones also have a 720 x 1600-pixel display and 300DPI screen density. Samsung has not yet officially announced the phone, but it seems to be an entry-level device based on the RAM.

Should you wait for the new Galaxy phones?

Together, the three listings show Samsung preparing phones across very different price segments. The Galaxy S26 FE will be the premium option for users who want a flagship experience at a more reasonable price point. The Galaxy A08 and A07s, meanwhile, seem to target the budget segment based on the specs revealed so far.

There is still too little information to say these devices are worth it at this moment, particularly for the Galaxy A08 and A07s. Pricing will be the biggest factor for both phones, especially given the price inflation in the budget segment due to the ongoing memory shortage.

The Galaxy S26FE, however, is a device we know quite a lot about already. With higher memory costs and the usual generational bump, the new FE could easily land in the Rs 75,000–80,000 bracket, sitting just under the Galaxy S26, which currently starts at around Rs 87,999.

If Samsung pushes the S26 FE closer to Rs 80,000, the device will have competitors like the Vivo X300FE and the OPPO Find X9s, both of which are capable flagship devices. For Samsung fans who prioritise One UI, long‑term updates and the familiar S‑series design, the S26 FE would still offer a slightly more affordable way into the S26 lineup.

Vivo Y31T India launch tipped with 7,200mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

Vivo could be launching an offline-centric device soon in the form of the Vivo Y31T. Here's what we know so far about the phone.

The Vivo Y31T has surfaced ahead of its launch, with a report sharing its key specifications and a first look at the rear design. The phone is expected to focus on battery life and durability, while reportedly targeting the offline market in the Rs 25,000 segment.

Vivo Y31T expected specifications

As per the Xpertpick report, the Vivo Y31T is tipped to feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a peak brightness of up to 1,250 nits in High Brightness Mode. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and use UFS 2.2 storage. The reported configurations include 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. The phone is also expected to support expandable storage.

Battery life could be the Y31T's biggest selling point. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 7,200mAh battery with 44W fast charging, while still measuring only 8.39mm thick. It is also expected to feature IP66 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with SGS certification. For photography, the Y31T could get a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor, while an 8MP camera is expected on the front. The phone is said to run OriginOS 6, although its Android version has not been revealed.

Vivo Y31T design looks familiar

The leaked image shows the Y31T with a flat frame and a rectangular camera module at the top-left corner. The module houses two vertically stacked camera cutouts, with the flash positioned alongside them. Vivo branding is visible on the lower-left portion of the rear panel. The overall design looks similar to the iQOO Z11x. The difference in the leaked Vivo model is the branding, with the Y31T carrying Vivo's logo rather than iQOO branding.

Vivo Y31T expected pricing

Vivo has not confirmed the Y31T's price or launch date. However, the tipster suggests that it could be priced around Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. It is expected to be available in Crimson Red, Gold Mist and Seashore Green. At this price, the Y31T will face competition from phones such as the OPPO A6 5G, which starts at Rs 26,999. The Y31T's 7,200mAh battery gives it a clear advantage for users who prioritise endurance, but the HD+ LCD display and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 are modest for this segment.

If Vivo keeps the Y31T closer to Rs 25,000, its battery, durability ratings and offline availability could make it a reasonable choice. Buyers focused on display quality or performance, however, may find better-equipped alternatives at a similar price.

OnePlus N6x, N6, and Nord 6 series prices hiked: here's how much they cost now

[highlights]

This is the first time the OnePlus N6x and N6 are seeing price hikes.

The Nord 6, Nord CE6, and CE6 Lite had already received price hikes.

The new prices have been updated on the OnePlus India website.

[/highlights]

OnePlus smartphones have seen yet another price hike. This time, it's the OnePlus N6x and OnePlus N6, the latest budget phones from the brand. Joining them are the OnePlus Nord 6, Nord CE 6, and Nord CE 6 Lite, which have already received price hikes. All five phones range from the budget to the mid-range segment. The price hikes come amid the rising cost of memory, affecting the entire smartphone industry.

OnePlus Nord 6 series price hike

OnePlus Nord 6 now starts at Rs 46,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This is after a price hike of Rs 2,000. The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 52,999. 'At Rs 46,999, the Nord 6 now directly competes with the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The Nord 6 offers the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a massive 9,000mAh battery, a 165Hz AMOLED display, and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. With this package, you can still consider the Nord 6 if you want a performance-focused handset.

The OnePlus Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite are now priced at Rs 37,999 and Rs 28,999, respectively. The Nord CE6's base variant offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the Nord CE6 Lite starts with 6GB RAM. The Nord CE 6 sits in the upper mid-range segment with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a large 8,000mAh battery, an 80W fast charging solution, and a 144Hz AMOLED display. It's now placed among phones like the Nothing Phone (4b). The Nord CE6 Lite is more of an everyday phone, offering a large 7,000mAh battery, a Dimensity 7400 chipset, and reliable cameras for everyday photography.

The OnePlus N6x launched at Rs 19,999 as a new budget offering from the brand. After this price hike, the base variant of the N6x now costs Rs 20,999. As for the OnePlus N6, this handset is priced at Rs 24,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The RAM and storage capacity might seem very low for this price segment, especially with multitasking, gaming, and AI features that could impact the overall performance of the phone.

Phone

Variant

Old Price

New Price

Nord 6

8GB + 256GB / 12GB + 256GB

Rs 44,999 / Rs 50,999

Rs 46,999 / Rs 52,999

Nord CE6

8GB + 128GB / 8GB + 256GB

Rs 35,999 / Rs 39,999

Rs 37,999 / Rs 41,999

Nord CE6 Lite

6GB + 128GB / 8GB + 128GB / 8GB + 256GB

Rs 25,999 / Rs 27,999 / Rs 30,999

Rs 28,999 / Rs 30,999 / Rs 34,999

N6x

4GB + 64GB / 4GB + 128GB

Rs 19,999 / Rs 20,999

Rs 20,999 / Rs 22,999

N6

4GB + 128GB / 6GB + 128GB

Rs 22,999 / Rs 24,999

Rs 24,999 / Rs 26,999

The OnePlus N6 can be considered for its massive 8,000mAh battery if endurance is your priority. Also, with multiple price hikes for the same phone, it might be wise to buy immediately before they go up again.

Vivo Y-series smartphones now costlier in India after price hike

[highlights]

Five Vivo Y-series phones have seen a price hike.

These phones sit in the budget and mid-range segment.

The price hikes are around Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000.

[/highlights]

Vivo has increased the prices of five of its Y-series smartphones in India. The Vivo Y51 Pro now starts at Rs 32,999, while the Y31 5G has received a Rs 2,000 price hike. This comes shortly after the Vivo X300 FE became Rs 3,000 costlier in India. There's no end to these price hikes as OEMs continue to face higher memory costs. Here's a detailed look at the new prices of these Vivo Y-series smartphones.

Vivo Y-series price hike

The Vivo Y51 Pro now starts at Rs 32,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It was earlier priced at Rs 30,999. The handset's 8GB + 256GB variant is now available at Rs 37,999, after a price hike of Rs 4,000. The Y51 Pro comes with a large 7,200mAh battery, the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 SoC, and a 50MP primary sensor. You also get a 2MP auxiliary sensor and an 8MP front camera. Considering its price, the Vivo Y51 Pro now sits in a more premium segment where other phones might offer better features.

The Vivo Y31 5G comes in two variants: 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB, which now cost Rs 27,999 and Rs 31,999, respectively. In terms of specs, you get the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 6,500mAh battery, a 50MP primary camera, and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. The chipset might seem underwhelming for this price segment, especially if you're a power user.

The Vivo Y21 5G has received a price hike of Rs 1,500, bringing its price up to Rs 22,499 from Rs 20,999. The 6GB + 128GB variant, which used to cost Rs 23,999, is now priced at Rs 26,499.

In the budget segment, the Vivo Y11 5G and Y19s have received price hikes. While both phones are still priced under Rs 20,000, the handsets are still costlier by Rs 1,000. The Vivo Y11 is priced at Rs 17,999, while the Vivo Y19s costs Rs 17,499 for the base variant.

You can take a look at the table below for a breakdown of the prices.

Phone

Variant

Old Price

New Price

Y51 Pro

8GB + 128GB

Rs 30,999

Rs 32,999

Y51 Pro

8GB + 256GB

Rs 33,999

Rs 37,999

Y31 5G

6GB + 128GB

Rs 25,999

Rs 27,999

Y31 5G

6GB + 256GB

Rs 28,999

Rs 31,999

Y21

4GB + 128GB

Rs 20,999

Rs 22,499

Y21

6GB + 128GB

Rs 23,999

Rs 26,499

Y11

4GB + 64GB

Rs 16,999

Rs 17,999

Y11

4GB + 128GB

Rs 18,999

Rs 20,999

Y19s

4GB + 64GB

Rs 16,499

Rs 17,499

Y19s

4GB + 128GB

Rs 18,999

Rs 20,999

With frequent price hikes across the industry, most phones are now much more expensive than when they launched. If you need a phone now, these are still decent options, but be aware of the reduced value. We would still advise comparing and checking other phones in the same price range and looking for offers to get the best value.

iQOO X showcased with 15,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro chipset: an anniversary special concept phone

iQOO has showcased the iQOO X concept phone to mark its tenth anniversary. It will features a 15,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro.

[highlights]

The iQOO X will feature a massive 7-inch 2K display.

It uses a processor and display panel that aren't currently available.

The iQOO X isn't planned for a launch, even though its pricing has been revealed.

[/highlights]

While iQOO may be preparing to launch the iQOO 16, which is expected to be unveiled in just a couple of months, the brand recently showcased what its future smartphone from several generations ahead may look like. Called the iQOO X, it's a concept phone that packs bleeding-edge hardware over today's flagships, including a processor that Qualcomm hasn't even announced yet. Said to be developed with input from iQOO fans, the company has yet to make a firm decision to commercialise it.

iQOO X design and appearance

Unlike iQOO's current lineup of flagship smartphones featuring squarish camera modules, the concept flagship device appears to feature a vertical camera layout with subtle ridges along the edges. The iQOO X was showcased in black and white colourways. Up front, the device is likely to feature an under-display selfie camera with extremely thin bezels for a complete futuristic viewing experience.

iQOO X specifications and features

Moving on to the specifications, which are quite absurd even for today's standards, the iQOO X sports a massive 7-inch M16 display with the panel sourced from Samsung. What's interesting is that the M14 panel is Samsung's latest offering, found on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the iQOO 15. Meaning iQOO believes it'll be able to obtain M16 displays for the iQOO X, even if they don't exist yet. This display will feature 2K+ resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate paired with a half-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the iQOO X will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro chip, whereas the chipmaker is only expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series during the Snapdragon Summit in September this year. This alone indicates that iQOO is being highly ambitious with the hardware for a phone that isn't even planned for commercialisation. Qualcomm's current chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, offers up to 4.6 GHz clock speeds and the Adreno 840 GPU.

On to the optics, the iQOO X comprises a 200MP 1/1.3-inch HPC primary sensor from Samsung, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP Samsung ultrawide lens. Compared to the iQOO 15's 50MP 1/1.56-inch main lens, the 200MP HPC lens offers a considerably larger sensor size, potentially resulting in more light intake for better details and clarity, especially in low-light scenarios.

The headlining feature of the iQOO X remains its 15,000mAh battery, an all-solid-state battery, nicknamed the "Blue Ice Battery." No current smartphone on the market features solid-state batteries with this level of capacity, and that is exactly the point of presenting a concept device like this.

iQOO X pricing

iQOO has even revealed the iQOO X's pricing: the base 12GB + 512GB model could be priced at CNY 6,999 (approx. Rs 99,200), while the 16GB + 512GB variant could retail for CNY 7,399 (approx. Rs 1,04,000), whereas the 16GB + 1TB could come come at CNY 7,799 (approx. Rs 1,10,000). Lastly, the all-out 24GB + 1TB storage variant may come at CNY 8,599 (approx. Rs 1,21,000).

With the iQOO X, iQOO is showing consumers and competitors what its R&D team can build. By showcasing a futuristic smartphone, the brand attracts eyeballs and makes a statement that they're not just following the trends, but also inventing the future.

[Update] POCO M8x India launch teased on Flipkart, price tipped

POCO is adding a new affordable phone to its lineup, with the launch of the POCO M8x. Here's what to expect from the phone.

[highlights]

POCO has teased the M8x 5G on Flipkart, revealing its rear design and confirming 5G connectivity.

The M8x 5G is tipped to feature a 6.9-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD, a 6,000mAh battery and 33W charging.

A tipster claims the POCO M8x 5G could be priced under Rs 20,000 in India.

[/highlights]

Update: POCO has revealed the POCO M8x will pack the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, contrary to what was earlier tipped. The processor was launched in May this year and the M8x is one of the first devices to pack it.

Original story follows...

POCO is adding another 5G phone to its M8 series, with the company now teasing the POCO M8x 5G on Flipkart. The teaser gives a first look at the rear design and confirms 5G connectivity, but POCO has yet to reveal the phone's specifications, price or launch date. The Flipkart listing suggests that an official announcement could be close, with more details likely to emerge over the coming days.

POCO M8x 5G India launch teased

The POCO M8x, visible in a green shade, has a simpler rear design than the M8 Power, with a smaller camera island and two visible camera cutouts. POCO has not confirmed what these cameras will be, although the setup could follow the company's approach with the M8 Power, which combines a 50MP primary camera with a lower-resolution auxiliary sensor. We also cannot rule out that the second camera could be a dummy cutout.

The rear panel also carries the POCO logo towards the bottom, while the flat frame appears to feature a gold accent that matches the camera module. It's a fairly simple design, which fits the phone's expected focus on affordability rather than a more elaborate finish.

The POCO M8x 5G appears to be positioned below the POCO M8 Power, which launched earlier this month at Rs 24,999. POCO has not yet confirmed the display, chipset, cameras or battery. The company has only teased the design and 5G support so far.

Expected specifications and price range

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the POCO M8x 5G could feature a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a current OEM-favourite, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. The reported configuration includes 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, with expandable storage also expected. The phone is said to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging and run HyperOS 3. For context, the M8 Power offers a larger 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, 8,000mAh battery, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, but costs Rs 24,999.

The tipster also claims the POCO M8x 5G will be priced below Rs 20,000. A sub-Rs 20,000 price would therefore make the M8x a more direct option for buyers considering affordable 5G phones from Redmi, Realme, Lava and Motorola. The reported HD+ LCD and 4GB RAM suggest that POCO may be making some compromises to reach that price, though the 6,000mAh battery, 120Hz display and expandable storage could still make it appealing for everyday users.

If POCO manages to keep the M8x below Rs 20,000 while retaining the reported battery and 120Hz refresh rate, it could become the more accessible M8-series option, while the M8 Power remains the choice for buyers willing to spend more on its AMOLED display and larger battery.

Realme P4s tipped to launch in this week: price, specifications revealed

[highlights]

Realme P4s would be the sixth model in the lineup.

It could offer a large 8,000mAh battery.

The handset is tipped to feature a 1.5K AMOLED display.

[/highlights]

Realme P4s is tipped to launch in India again soon. The smartphone was first mentioned in May this year, with a launch expected in June. However, that never happened. Now, it has been tipped again that the Realme P4s is set to launch in India at the end of this month, which would be anytime this week. The Realme P4s will join the existing lineup, which includes the Realme P4, P4 Pro, P4x, P4 Power, and P4 Lite.

Realme P4s India launch tipped

According to tipster Sanju, Realme plans to launch the P4s in India by the end of August. A launch date hasn't been revealed, but it could happen anytime this week. The tipster also listed the key specifications of the Realme P4s. The smartphone is said to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a mid-range chipset which should be dependable for moderate tasks and usage. The handset is also expected to feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

It could launch with an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. This would be the Realme P4s's highlight, with the battery capacity being enough for power users and gamers. The Realme P4s is also getting a 50MP primary camera and an IP69 rating for water resistance, according to the tipster. The handset is tipped to launch with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage as the base variant, with pricing between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000. At this price, it will compete with the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, which might offer better cameras, and the Vivo S2, known for its design.

Based on the details so far, the Realme P4s appears to be another battery-focused smartphone in the mid-range segment. It could appeal to users who want a dependable mid-range phone with a large battery. Since the phone is tipped to cost around Rs 35,000-Rs 40,000, it would be wise to compare it with rivals before making a buying decision. However, given it's a leak, buyers should still wait for official reviews or a confirmed launch date.
