Samsung Galaxy 7 series models receive BIS, Galaxy Watch Ultra support page live

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series has been spotted on the BIS certification (Bureau of Indian Standards), as exclusively spotted by 91mobiles. Separately, the Samsung Watch Ultra Support page has also gone live, suggesting at an imminent launch. The listing reveals there will be three models in the lineup: the Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra and a new budget Galaxy Watch FE.

  • The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series has appeared on the BIS certification.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra’s support page has gone live on the brand’s official website. This also reveals the same SM-L705F model number. However, the listing doesn’t reveal any hardware details of the phone at the moment but will be a premium offering. 

The wearables are expected to debut at the Samsung Unpacked event, which is expected to take place sometime in July this year. There will be a new generation of foldables, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds TWS and other products debuting on the same stage.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series: what we know so far

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch FE appeared on the FCC certification. This revealed there will be 15W and 5W wireless charging support, respectively. This might offer 50 percent faster charging compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 6 lineup, which came with a 10W charging speed. The FCC listing shows there will be Wi-Fi and optional LTE connectivity.  

Reports revealed the Galaxy Watch 7 could be Samsung’s first device with a 3nm Exynos chip and this is claimed to offer a 20 percent increase in power efficiency and performance boost over the Galaxy Watch 6. The base storage capacity is believed to be bumped from 16GB to 32GB capacity.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra could feature a bigger 47mm display size compared to 40mm and 44mm sizes. The former might pack a 590mAh battery, while the Watch 7 might house 300mAh (40mm) and 425mAh (44mm) cells, respectively. The Watch Ultra could have a Titanium (Grade 4) chassis and sapphire crystal glass display.

The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra might feature MIL-STD-810H certification for durability. The Ultra variant could house 10ATM+ IP68 dust and water resistance while the Watch 7 may have only 5ATM+ IP68 protection. The Galaxy Watch Ultra might feature a new Quick Button to perform certain tasks and boast 3,000nits peak brightness.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 might come only in a cellular model while the Ultra could be available in cellular and Bluetooth-only models. There will be L1+L5 dual-frequency GPS support.

Lastly, the Amazon Italy listing suggested the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE might be priced at EUR 199 (around Rs 17,900) in Italy.
