• Samsung will bring three variants of the Galaxy Watch 7, one of which will be a higher-tier option, according to a report by SamMobile. However, the specific names for each variant have not been disclosed yet.
• Samsung is likely revamping its model number system for the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup. The first variant will be identified by two model numbers – SM-L300 and SM-L305.
• The subsequent variant will have model numbers SM-L310 and SM-L315, while the top-tier variant will be denoted by model numbers SM-L700 and SM-L705. 
• It is speculated that model numbers ending with the digit 5 might indicate versions with cellular connectivity and eSIM capabilities.
• Furthermore, Samsung might increase the upcoming smartwatch’s storage capacity to 32GB instead of 16GB, as we saw on the Galaxy Watch 6.

As per recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is anticipated to debut as the company’s first device featuring a 3nm chip. The new chip is expected to offer a 50 percent increase in power efficiency compared to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. Additionally, speculation suggests that the upcoming smartwatch may run on an updated version of Wear OS and One UI Watch, offering users access to enhanced functionalities and features.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 launch timeline

While not officially confirmed, there’s anticipation that the Galaxy Watch 7 will be unveiled, possibly around mid-July. Recent reports suggest that Samsung will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event during this period, where it’s speculated to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 alongside the Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Watch 7 series, and a new Samsung Service.

The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Ring, which will likely hit stores shortly after the event. Additionally, the smartphone brand might also bring the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy XR headset during the event.
