Two new Samsung phones launching in India

Samsung will launch two new A-series phones in India on March 11th. The phones in question could be the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 5G. These phones have been leaked extensively in the last few weeks.

  • Samsung says the new A-series phones will feature flagship-inspired designs, built with premium materials.
  • Both phones will come with an IP67 rating for spill resistance and a Corning Gorilla Glass layer, which is claimed to be stronger than Gorilla Glass 5.
  • Both the A-series phones are claimed to click impressive low-light images and videos even in extreme low-light conditions. 
  • Samsung says there will be large vapour cooling chambers and Samsung Knox for improved security.
  • The company is also promising four OS updates and five years of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 specs (expected)

  • Display: 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and Gorilla Glass protection.
  • Chipset: The Galaxy A55 could be powered by the in-house Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
  • The Samsung Galaxy A35 could ship with the Exynos 1380 chipset.
  • RAM/storage: 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.
  • OS: The phones are likely to boot Android 14-based One UI custom skin out of the box.
  • Rear cameras: The Galaxy A55 is expected to come with a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro camera.
  • On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A35 could feature a 48MP primary camera sensor. 
  • Selfie camera: The phones could feature a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
  • Battery: The Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 phones might pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging technology.
