The Samsung Galaxy F22 5G launched in India at Rs 14,499, and we can expect the Galaxy F23 5G to retail around the same price range. If it indeed retails between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000, it will compete against the likes of Realme 9 Pro, POCO X3 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G, which are some of the best-selling smartphones in the very competitive sub-Rs 20,000 price segment.

The Flipkart and Samsung microsites reveal the Galaxy F23 5G will feature a display with 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and waterdrop-style Infinity V notch. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset and feature a triple camera setup on the back. Other key features visible in the official renders include a USB Type-C port, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 3.5mm audio jack. We can see the smartphone in green and light blue colour options. The name makes the 5G connectivity obvious.
Separately, a MySmartPrice report last night revealed some other key Samsung Galaxy F23 5G specifications. It claimed the smartphone will have an FHD+ display (rumoured to measure 6.4-inch) that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top. At its heart will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, which is a significant upgrade over the MediaTek Helio G80 processor found on Samsung Galaxy F22 5G.
As revealed by the Geekbench listing, the Snapdragon 750G chipset on the Samsung Galaxy F23 5G will be paired with 6GB RAM and Android 12 OS. We can expect an 8GB RAM option as well, with 128GB storage likely as standard.
According to MySmartPrice, the primary sensor of the device is a 50MP, backed by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP sensor. Samsung Galaxy F23 5G has a waterdrop notch that houses a selfie shooter at the front.
The Samsung Galaxy F23 5G battery details are still a mystery. Its predecessor has a whopping 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W charging. We can expect the upcoming smartphone to feature at least a 5,000mAh battery, though a 6,000mAh battery is likelier.
The Samsung Galaxy F22 5G comes with a slower 90Hz display and MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. On the other hand, the upcoming Galaxy F23 5G has a faster 120Hz display and Snapdragon 750G processor. In Geekbench 5, the Samsung Galaxy F23 5G score 640 points in the single-core test and a multi-core score of 1820 points. On the other hand, the Galaxy F22 5G sits with 347 single-core and 1285 multi-core scores.
Another small improvement should be in the camera department, if the report from last night is to be believed, the Galaxy F23 5G has 50MP primary camera. In comparison, the Galaxy F22 5G features a 48MP primary shooter. However, the F23 5G has a triple-camera setup, and the F22 5G has a quad-camera island.
