Samsung is working on a new Galaxy M-series phone, called the Galaxy M44 5G. The upcoming smartphone will most likely be the successor to the Galaxy M34 5G that debuted earlier this month. 91mobiles has spotted the Samsung Galaxy M44 5G on benchmarking website Geekbench, which mentions key specifications. Samsung is yet to announce or tease the Galaxy M44 5G but this is the first official sighting of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy M44 5G Geekbench details
- The Galaxy M44 5G carries the model number SM-M446K on Geekbench.
- The listing shows that the smartphone is powered by a processor codenamed “lahaina”, which is for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
- The chipset has a max clock speed of 2.84 GHz, and it’s paired with the Adreno 660 GPU.
- On Geekbench, the Galaxy M44 5G has a single-core score of 1531 and a multi-core score of 3771.
- The Geekbench listing also mentions the phone with 6GB RAM and running on Android 13 OS.
This listing is however for the Korean model of the Galaxy M44 5G. Samsung would be bringing the phone to India as well, and it will most likely launch here first. It’s only the first sighting but we’re expecting more details to surface online soon about the phone.
The Galaxy M44 5G is expected to succeed the Galaxy M34 5G with upgraded specifications and features. Launched earlier this month at a starting price of Rs 16,999, the Galaxy M34 5G is a mid-range phone with a notched display, triple rear cameras, and a Super AMOLED 120Hz display.
