Samsung skipped the Fan Edition (FE) of the Galaxy S22 series last year but rumours suggest we’ll see one this time. It’s going to be the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone which will be a toned down version of the flagship Galaxy S23 series. There’s still no official confirmation from Samsung but there’s word that it will debut the Galaxy S23 FE. A new update now suggests the possible launch timeline of the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch timeline (rumoured)

Earlier reports suggested that the Galaxy S23 FE will launch even before the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. But this seems unlikely since the Galaxy Unpacked is taking place in July and it’s where Samsung’s foldable are expected to debut. Now, according to a report by Sam Mobile, the Galaxy S23 FE will debut in Q3 this year but in select markets. It will see a wider release later in Q4 this year which may go on until Q1 2024.

This is all still speculation though as Samsung hasn’t officially announced anything yet. So we don’t know if the Galaxy S23 FE will even make it eventually or not. But the Galaxy S23 FE is still active on the leaks front and here’s what you can expect from the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specifications (expected)

Processor: Samsung is expected to launch only Exynos-powered Galaxy S23 FE models this time. More specifically, it would be the Exynos 2200 chip that powers the Galaxy S22 series. There won’t be any Snapdragon model this time, even for the US market.
Cameras: The Galaxy S23 FE is expected to house a 50MP rear camera along with an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens. Up front, it could be a 12MP front camera.
RAM and storage: There could be two variants with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Battery: The smartphone is expected to pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
