All Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones to feature Exynos 2500 processor, claims rumour

While this rumour is interesting, it is tough to believe too. Here's why:

The rumour comes from tipster Connor who says in 2025, Samsung will use Exynos exclusively on the Galaxy S series, while the Galaxy Z series could ship with Snapdragon chips and Samsung could choose between Mediatek and Exynos for the Galaxy A-series phones.

We think this is interesting because it allows Samsung to properly distinguish the value proposition between the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series. The Galaxy Z-series would be positioned as the top-of-the-food-chain devices with unique designs, competing against the best from Apple. If Samsung trusts Exynos that much, the Galaxy S lineup could be powerful enough to offer the high-end experience people come to expect out of it, or so we like to believe. Tech analyst Samir Khazaka also believes this is possible in the long term.

However, this is unlikely in the near future at least, since Samsung is known to have signed a multi-year contract with Qualcomm to use Snapdragon for Galaxy chips earlier this year. This nullifies Connor's claim. Another tipster Revegnus also shares similar scepticism.

Moreover, Samsung has yet to prove the Exynos chips are on par with Snapdragon chips in terms of power efficiency and performance yields. Perhaps, things will change next year. The Exynos 2500 and its rumoured alternative, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 are still in development. So, we don't really know how they'd fare against each other. We'll see.
