Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: what we know so far
The UL listing shows Samsung as the manufacturer and lists the model family as SM-S741W, SM-S741U1, SM-S741U, SM-S741B/DS, SM-S741B and SM-S741N. Under the charging ratings, it shows 15.0V at 3.0A or 10.0V at 4.5A, which works out to 45W wired charging support. From an earlier listing, we know the Galaxy S26 FE corresponds to SM-S741U model.
Before this certification, the Galaxy S26 FE had already appeared on Geekbench with model number SM-S741U. The Geekbench listing revealed details like Android 17, 8GB RAM and a 10-core chipset. Those benchmark leaks also pointed to Exynos 2500 processor, with scores of 2,426 in single-core and 8,004 in multi-core testing.
While 45W charging is certainly a welcome addition, it is also not something new for 2026’s premium segment, which has now changed significantly with phone prices jumping due to memory shortages.
The listing, if proven true, suggests that Samsung is playing it safe rather than trying anything radically new with the FE lineup. The Exynos 2500, which is likely to be the final chip based on previous launch patterns, will be the real test of Samsung’s in-house silicon strategy. The company has long been working to match its rivals on everyday consistency, and improving with each iteration.
Should you wait for the Galaxy S26 FE?
Samsung has not confirmed the phone yet, so the chipset and final charging setup should still be treated as leaks. Even so, the UL certification makes the 45W claim look much more credible than a standalone rumour.
The FE series has consistently stayed close to the flagship formula on design and usability. The Galaxy S25 FE came in at 190g, used a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and carried a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging, so Samsung is likely to extend that same balance of performance and practicality to the S26 FE as well.
Once Samsung officially announces it, buyers will likely want to weigh the final price against the Exynos 2500’s performance and how well 45W charging translates into battery life and day-to-day convenience. With memory shortages pushing component costs higher, the S26 FE could also land at a higher price than last year’s model, possibly by 30 percent or more, which will make competitor comparison even more important.
