Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to launch in the second half of 2024. And already, its leaks and rumours have been making the rounds. 91mobiles has freshly spotted the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 batteries listed on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). Here, take a look:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 batteries on BIS
- We have found two variants of the Z Fold 6 batteries on the site: EB-BF956ABE and EB-BF956ABY. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 batteries were also spotted on BIS like this and they had similar codenames, viz., EB-BF936ABY and EB-BF937ABY.
- This suggests there could be two batteries, perhaps part of a dual-battery setup.
- The latter two batteries with model numbers EB-BF741ABE and EB-BF741ABY appear to be of Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, this differs from the battery models we discovered a few days back.
- Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t disclose any other details.

- Cameras: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 could ship with the same camera as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, meaning a 200MP sensor with 1/1.3-inch size, f/1.7-aperture, and support for AF and OIS. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 6’s primary camera could also see a major jump from 12MP to 50MP.
- Affordable Z Fold 6: The alleged internal codename of the Z Fold 6 is Q6. There’s a rumour of a watered-down variant with the codename Q6A. Perhaps this entry-level Z Fold 6 gets the FE surname.
- Display: The Z Fold 6 could flaunt bigger panels on the cover and the main display. A bigger outer display could make the aspect ratio of the folded Z Fold 6 more like a regular phone.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 could also come with a larger cover and inner display. It’s been tipped that the Z Flip 6 cover screen could stretch 3.6 inches which could allow for more functions and uses. - Software: Both foldables could get Android 14-based One UI with Galaxy AI capabilities.
We should get a better idea about the device before the mid-year Galaxy Unpacked event.
