Foldables are slowly becoming the new saviours of the smartphone segment, which off late has become quite a stereotype mostly because of the stale designs. The latest brand to join the foldable bandwagon is Tecno, which just launched the Phantom V Fold at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona. This is the first foldable from the brand and ships with the quite powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC, which means there is 5G network support and a 50MP primary camera on the back.

In addition to the Phantom V Fold, the brand has unveiled the Tecno Spark 10 Pro selfie phone, MegaBook S1 2023 laptop with the Intel 13th Gen Core processor, and a range of AIoT products.

Tecno Phantom V Fold price in India, availability

The Tecno Phantom V Fold price in India is Rs 89,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model and Rs 99,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. However, the company is offering an early bird offer for the base model at Rs 79,999. The phone will be available in India this quarter.

Tecno Phantom V Fold specifications

As said, the Phantom V Fold is the brand’s first-ever foldable phone and is also the world’s first left-right foldable with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC coupled with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The foldable packs 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. There’s support for extendable RAM for better multitasking. The foldable runs on Android 13 OS with HiOS 13 Fold custom skin out of the box.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold has a 6.42-inch FHD+ dual 10Hz-120Hz LTPO outer AMOLED display. There is a 7.65-inch 2K 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED foldable display with 2296 X 2000 pixels resolutions, the ultra-flat main screen with dual-high brightness and dual-high colour accuracy. The chipset is paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The Phantom V Fold packs triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 2x portrait camera. There is a 32MP snapper on the outer screen and a 16MP shooter present in the inner punch-hole lens. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

The Phantom V Fold packs an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone has an aerospace-grade innovative drop-shaped hinge that has an exclusive fixed-axis rotate and slide technology and a self-developed reverse snap structure that makes the folding seamless and crease-free.
