The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 gained a lot of attention at the MWC 2023 for its food-derived display lid cover. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 uses a wood-like finish for the top of its display lid. The company is also aiming to replace its plastic outer packaging in favour of bamboo fibre bags and paper-based moulds as part of its green initiatives.

The ThinkPad Z13 and ThinkPad Z16 in their second generation now are oriented towards business users and are equipped with AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. The ThinkPad Z16 misses out on the flaxseed top.
