Should you buy the phone?
For the price of Rs 18,999, the Vivo T2 offers an AMOLED display which should help with a better visual experience be it for media consumption or gaming. The Snapdragon 695 processor is quite capable of handling day-to-day tasks but will start struggling with intense tasks or resource-intensive functions. There is an OIS-enabled 64MP primary camera, which should click good daylight and low-light photos. There is a 4500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The phone lasts an entire day and quickly juices up when you run out of charge. All said and done, the VIvo T2 is a decent buy for the asking price.
On the other hand, the Vivo Y56 launched at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB/128GB model and Rs 18,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version. The phone will be available at Rs 15,999 for the base model and Rs 17,999 for the top-end version. Customers can avail up to Rs 1,000 cashback with ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, One Card and others.
Vivo's V-Shield complete device protection plan can be purchased separately at attractive discounts. The new prices are valid on Flipkart, Vivo India online store, and nearby retail outlets until December 31st, 2023.
Should you buy the phone?
The Vivo Y56 on the other hand has a completely different story. The phone has a slightly smaller 6.58-inch FHD+ display which should be good enough for content consumption or gaming. However, the refresh rate is standard at 60Hz. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 is a bit dated SoC for today's standard so the performance may not be adequate. The 50MP sensor can click decent day-light images and the 5000mAh battery can last one day with moderate use. There is an 18W fast charging support as well.
For the new starting price of Rs 15,999, the Vivo Y56 may not be a very strong contender in the segment.
