There is a circular camera module on the back to house dual-camera sensors and an LED flash. There is a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and flat edges.
Both phones ship with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and stereo speakers. While the Vivo T3x has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, the Realme 12x has just an IP54 rating but there’s a Rainwater smart touch feature. The Vivo T3 can be purchased in Crimson Bliss and Celestial Green colours while Realme 12x comes in Twilight Purple and Woodland Green options.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: display
The Vivo T3x and Realme 12x come with the same IPS LCD display. This means the screens may not be as premium as an AMOLED panel but thanks to the FHD+ resolution the content is sharp and there’s no pixelation issue as well. Both have a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling through UI and system animations. However, Realme offers dynamic refresh rates of 45Hz, 48Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz.
Vivo T3x has a slight edge in the brightness department, thanks to 1000nits compared to 950nits on the Realme 12x. Though the difference is not much, it should have a slight impact on outdoor visibility.

The Vivo phone has scored a good 549494 points in the benchmark while the Realme 12x is lagging behind with a modest 418175 lakh points on the same platform. While the casual real-world usage is more or less the same, it is during extreme gaming or heavy-duty tasks that the Realme phone stutters and starts slowing down. There is no abnormal heating issue on both phone.
The Vivo T3x and Realme 12x are offered in three models: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB storage options.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: cameras
Vivo T3x and Realme 12x feature a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. We also get the same 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
The camera performance of both phones should be similar: click good photos in favourable lighting conditions and somewhat decent images in low-light conditions. The selfies should also be on similar lines. We will have more to say about the Vivo T3x cameras in our review.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: battery, software
Vivo is a winner in the battery department, all thanks to the large 6,000mAh battery compared to the 5,000mAh unit on the Realme 12x. This should make the Vivo phone offer better battery life and last longer even with slightly heavy usage. We get almost similar 44W fast charging on Vivo and 45W on the Realme 12x, which took around 50 minutes to charge fully from 0-100 percent. Vivo T3x should take slightly more time considering a larger battery.
In terms of software, the Vivo T3x and Realme 12x run on Android 14 OS out of the box and they both have custom skin on top.
Verdict
Vivo T3x and Realme 12x are impressive budget mid-range offerings and they both come with 5G network support. We get a similar 6.72-inch display, 50MP camera setup, and Android 14 OS out of the box. But from the initial views, the Vivo T3x looks to be a better buy among the two, courtesy of a better Snapdragon chipset, a large 6,000mAh battery, a better IP64 rating compared to IP54, and a slightly brighter IPS LCD display. The choice is clear as Vivo T3x is a better buy.
