Vivo could be launching a new ‘SE’ model soon. Spotted earlier this year on the Global Certification Forum and Bluetooth SIG website, the Vivo S40 SE now has all its specifications revealed. The phone’s renders have also leaked online giving us a good look at the phone’s design. There’s no official announcement yet but it’s expected to debut in Europe later this year.

Vivo V40 SE full specifications leak out

  • Vivo V40 SE is expected to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to a report by Appauls.
  • It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone is also said to come with 8GB of virtual RAM along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
  • For cameras, we could get a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP portrait or macro lens. It will feature a 16MP front camera for selfies.
  • On the software front, the Vivo V40 SE could run Android 14 OS with Funtouch OS 14 on top.
  • It is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge charging support.
  • Other features that the Vivo V40 SE will come with include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP54 rating, dual SIM support, and USB-C 2.0.

In terms of design, the Vivo V40 SE is seen sporting a flat display with a punch-hole selfie camera. There’s a triple camera stacked vertically on the top left corner. It will come in two colour options of blue and light purple with the latter sporting a vegan leather finish. The blue colour variant has a patterned design at the back. 

The wallpaper also shows the Vivo V40 SE is going to be the official smartphone for the UEFA Euro 2024, scheduled to start on June 14th. This suggests we might see the phone debut around the same time. Vivo V40 SE is tipped to cost between 250 and 300 Euros (Rs 22,500 approx) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The Vivo V40 SE is also speculated to launch as a rebranded Vivo Y200e based on the similarity of its specifications.
