Vivo confirms to launch a flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, could be Vivo X100 Pro+

The Vivo X100 series is set to launch in China in November and will include a total of three models: the Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+. The former two are expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. Now, Vivo has officially confirmed it will be launching a phone with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. We are inclined to believe this could be the Vivo X100 Pro+.

Separately, tipster DigitalChatStation claims the Vivo X100 lineup will feature the new LPDDR5T RAM.

Vivo X100 Pro+ will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip

  • Soon after the unveiling of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Vivo confirmed it will be introducing a new flagship with the new chipset.
  • While the brand hasn’t mentioned the model name, there are chances it could be the Vivo X100 Pro+.
  • The Vivo X100 Pro+ might not debut alongside the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, and instead will launch around the first quarter of 2024, as per rumours.

The Vivo X100 series will come with new LPDDR5T RAM, as per DCS. To recall, SK Hynix announced the LPDDR5T RAM earlier this year. This is claimed to be the world’s fastest mobile DRAM module and is around 13 percent faster in terms of read speeds when compared to the LPDDR5X RAM. Speeds recorded were up to 9.6Gbps.

  • Display: Vivo X100 Pro+ will have a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED Quad HD+ display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
  • OS: The flagship runs on OriginOS 4-based Android 14.
  • Processor: The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno GPU.
  • RAM and Storage: The chipset could be paired with up to 24GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
  • Battery: The phone might pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100W charging and 50W wireless charging.
  • Camera: The Vivo X100 Pro+ may feature a 50MP IMX989 primary camera with OIS support and variable aperture, a 50MP IMX598 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50MP IMX758 telephoto camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with up to 10x optical zoom.
  • Others: There is an IP68 rating for dust-proof and water resistance.
