What the Vivo X90 series may offer
According to the GSMArena report, the Vivo X90 series is tipped to feature the same 50MP 1-inch type image sensor that is available on the flagship Xiaomi smartphone. The use of a 1-inch image sensor is a big deal in a smartphone, since the lack of space for components within a phone chassis means that there is a physical limitation to how far phone makers can innovate with their cameras.
Now, though, phone makers appear to have found a workaround, and the Vivo X90 series should feature the same. However, it is likely that the same will only be available on Vivo’s top variant of the X90 series, the Vivo X90 Pro Plus 5G.
The latter is also expected to house a 64MP Omnivision sensor for its telephoto camera, with a 3x optical zoom lens, and three-stage exposure HDR photography for better low light photos. It may also house a 50MP portrait unit, which could be an incremental improvement on previous Vivo offerings.
Other tipped specifications of the smartphone, presumably for its top variant, includes a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. All of these features are in line with present generation flagships, and if this offering excites you, you should get to see the Vivo X90 series in action by December this year.
