Vivo Y21 5G and Y11 5G specifications

The Vivo Y21 5G and Y11 5G both feature a 6,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It’s said to deliver an all-day performance with various activities like watching videos, listening to music, browsing social media, and using navigation apps. With lighter usage, the battery may last to the next day. This should be good enough for anyone looking for a phone with reliable battery life. The Vivo Y21 5G comes with 44W fast charging support for quick top-ups, but the Y11 gets only 15W, which is quite low even for a budget phone. It also gets features such as Battery Life Extender for usage even at 1 percent, and a Super Battery Saver Mode.

Powering both phones is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a popular chipset for budget phones, which is fine for regular use, but not reliable enough for intensive usage. Up front is a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of high brightness mode. The smartphone also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with Military Grade Shock Resistance and SGS certification.

Cameras are another area where the two phones differ from each other. The Vivo Y21 5G features a 50MP main camera with a secondary lens, while the Y11 5G gets a 13MP main camera. Both phones feature a 5MP front camera. The secondary lens is a QVGA camera on the Vivo Y21 and Y11. The camera specs are quite disappointing for both phones, with not even an ultra-wide sensor available, and a weak selfie camera.

Vivo ships the phones with camera features such as Night, Portrait, Pro, Time-lapse, and Live Photo. On the software front, the Vivo Y21 5G and Y11 5G run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. It also comes with Circle to Search, AI Creation, AI Photo Enhance, AI Documents, and Google Gemini.

You can get the Vivo Y21 in Champagne Gold and Midnight Blue colours, and the Y11 in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Blue colours.

The Vivo Y11 5G can be considered if your budget is low and if the slow charging or the camera specs don’t bother you. If you can spend a bit more, then the Vivo Y21 5G would be a better choice. However, the competition is quite tough in the budget segment, and phones like the Lava Play Ultra and the Redmi 15 may have more to offer in terms of overall value.

Vivo already has the T-series at this price segment, so the latest models might be a way for the brand to build more market presence and reach more buyers.
