Xiaomi 13 Ultra Olive Green variant spotted with Leica CEO ahead of launch

He was seen holding the Olive Green variant in one of the photos that Leica’s mobile business vice president Marius Eschweiler posted on his LinkedIn account. It should be noted that some alleged renders of the upcoming phone have been leaked online but the Olive Green variant was spotted for the first time.

Leica’s mobile business vice president, Marius Eschweiler, recently shared on LinkedIn that he and the Leica CEO visited Xiaomi’s headquarters in Beijing to meet with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss their strategic cooperation in mobile imaging and future research and development plans.

However, from photos of their meeting that the executive posted, it looks like Leica CEO Harsch is carrying a new green smartphone with a large, protruding rear lens module, which is seemingly the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The back of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has curved edges.

The tipster, who spotted these images, mentioned that it is an Olive Green variant of the upcoming smartphone.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra design

A recent event teaser gave us a look at the camera section of the upcoming smartphone. It has a round camera setup and looks like it has four sensors inside. This matches the leaked images of the device, which also showed a selfie camera in a hole and rounded edges. The smartphone is also likely to come in two colours – White Ceramic and Black Leather.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra specifications (expected)

The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will likely sport a quad rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor along with three 50MP sensors. The smartphone will likely come equipped with a 32MP camera for selfies.

As far as the processor is concerned, the upcoming phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will likely pack a 4,900mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

Some alleged images as well as the upcoming smartphone’s expected price have also appeared on the internet. However, the company has not yet revealed much information about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. We will get to know the exact and accurate details about the flagship smartphone on April 18th.
