Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro pops up on IMEI Database; expected launch timeline surfaces

Ahead of that, the alleged Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro have appeared on the IMEI Database. The IMEI database listing discloses the model numbers of upcoming Xiaomi smartphones but not their names. Let us take a look at it.

Xiaomi 14 series launch timeline

• The International Mobile Equipment Identity Database (IMEI Database) is a global central database maintained by the GSMA. It contains basic information on mobile device serial number (IMEI) ranges.
• The IMEI database has revealed that both the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be available in variants for both Chinese and global markets. 
• According to the certification listing, the Xiaomi 14 Pro was assigned two model numbers – 23116PN5BC (where ‘C’ denotes the Chinese variant) and 23116PN5BG.
• The model numbers 23127PN0CC and 23127PN0CG (where G denotes the global variant) refer to the standard Xiaomi 14 model, as per GSMChina, who spotted the listing.
• The model numbers 2312 and 2311 signify the time frame of December-November 2023.
• According to the information provided, it is expected that the Xiaomi 14 series will be launched in China in either December 2023 or January 2024. Later on, it will be launched in the global market.
• The introduction of Xiaomi 14 Pro in India is still uncertain. It should be noted that the new smartphone may potentially be unveiled in 2024.
