Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, HyperOS, up to 120W charging launched in China: price, specifications

Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro prices and specifications were officially announced in China on Thursday. These are the first phones to ship with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. These are also the first to come with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS software that replaces MIUI. The flagships are expected to launch globally and in India at a later point. Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro prices, release date

Xiaomi 14 starts at CNY 3,999 (Rs 45,500 approx) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It comes in three more variants of 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB priced at CNY 4,299 (Rs 48,900 approx), CNY 4,599 (Rs 52,300 approx), and CNY 4,999 (Rs 56,900 approx), respectively. 

Xiaomi 14 Pro has a starting price of CNY 4,999 (Rs 56,900 approx) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It has two more variants of 16GB + 512GB and 16GB+ 1TB priced at CNY 5,499 (Rs 62,600 approx) and CNY 5,999 (Rs 68,300 approx), respectively. 

The phones are available for pre-order in China starting today, while sales will begin on October 31st.

Xiaomi 14 comes in four colour options: White, Black, Pink and Green. As for the 14 Pro, it has three colour options: White, Black and Green. There’s a special Titanium Edition for the Pro model as well. In terms of design both phones look the same, and much like the previous gen, the Xiaomi 13 series. The Xiaomi 14 series has curved edges with a large square-shaped camera module at the back.

• Display: Xiaomi 14 Pro features a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO C8 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits peak brightness.
• Processor: The flagship is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. 
• RAM and storage: It comes in three variants: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
• Cameras: Xiaomi 14 Pro comes with Leica-branded cameras including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. There’s a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies. 
• Battery, charging: Xiaomi 14 Pro packs a 4,880mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, and 50W wireless charging support.
• Software: On the software front, the Xiaomi 14 Pro runs the new HyperOS based on Android 14.
• Other features: Xiaomi 14 Pro comes with USB 3.2 Gen2, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, an under-display fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

• Display: Xiaomi 14 has a smaller 6.36-inch 1.5K C8 LTPO OLED display with 3000 nits max brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top. 
• Processor: Like the Pro model, the vanilla Xiaomi 14 also gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. 
• RAM and storage: It comes in four variants: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB.
• Cameras: Xiaomi 14 has a Leica-branded triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera on the Xiaomi 14. 
• Battery, charging: It has a slightly bigger 4,610mAh battery than the Pro model but with 90W fast charging support, and 50W wireless charging support.
• Software: On the software front, the Xiaomi 14 runs HyperOS based on Android 14.
  
• Other features: It comes with features such as 5G, IP68 rating, USB 3.2 Gen1, Wi-Fi 7, NFC and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
