Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 launch timeline tipped
- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 launch could take place sometime around mid-July, according to a report by South Korean publication The Elec. This is due to the components being produced 2-3 weeks earlier this year.
- Samsung usually holds its second Unpacked event around August where it unveils the new foldables, smartwatches and more.
- There’s an entry-level Galaxy Z Fold 6 that’s expected to debut this year. The report adds that this foldable will launch around September and October, two to three months after the flagship models.
- The shipment target for the entry-level Galaxy Z Fold 6 is reportedly 200,000 to 300,000 units. The launch timing is also speculated to divert attention from the iPhone 16 series launch that will most likely take place in September.
Affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 expected later this year
The entry-level Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be more affordable than the flagship model. It will come with some downgrades though, and one that’s reported is that it will not support the S Pen. It’s also said to be thinner than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is already rumoured to be thinner than its predecessor. The absence of the S Pen will not only make the budget Galaxy Z Fold 6 lighter but it will reduce its price.
