Acer has climbed to the No. 2 spot in India’s traditional PC market for Q1 2026, taking a 21.3 percent share of overall shipments, according to IDC’s latest India Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. The company credits the rise to stronger demand across consumer, commercial and education customers.
The brand says it led the education and government segments in desktops, notebooks and workstations, with particularly dominant shares in education desktops and notebooks on the back of large deployments in schools and institutions. It also reports strong positions in government desktops and notebooks, underlining its growing role in public sector projects.
