BenQ launches Board Pro RP05 in India, a 10 TOPS interactive classroom display with on-device generative AI

BenQ has launched the Board Pro RP05 in India, an interactive classroom display built around a dedicated 10 TOPS NPU and a suite of generative AI tools. Available from June 25, 2026, in 65-inch, 75-inch, and 86-inch sizes starting at Rs 2,00,000 inclusive of taxes. The RP05 targets schools and institutions looking for the most capable interactive hardware currently available in the market.

The 10 TOPS NPU is the headline specification. BenQ claims it delivers the highest ETHZ AI score in its segment at approximately 430, significantly ahead of the 4 to 6 TOPS NPUs found in most competing displays. This allows the RP05 to run generative AI features entirely on-device, eliminating cloud dependency and the latency issues that come with internet-based AI processing. The display runs on the MediaTek Genio 720 chipset with 16GB of DDR5X RAM, 256GB of onboard storage, and over-the-air software updates.

AI tools for the classroom

BenQ’s AI suite covers lesson planning, content delivery, and student engagement. AI Lesson generates lesson plans and outlines instantly, while AI Quiz auto-creates practice questions from on-screen content. Ask AI puts a conversational interface directly on the display so teachers and students can ask questions without switching apps. Camera Gesture lets teachers control slides from anywhere in the room using hand gestures, and Lasso Search lets them circle any image or word on screen to pull up relevant information.

EZWrite 6.0, BenQ’s built-in whiteboard platform, adds EZMath for converting handwritten equations into digital content, one-tap translation across 59 languages, and AI Text-to-Speech. Wireless screen sharing via InstaShare 2 includes AI Guardian, which scans content from student devices in real time and blocks inappropriate material before it reaches the main display. BenQ confirms its AI features collect no personal data, a meaningful assurance for institutions managing student privacy.

Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India and South Asia, summed up the intent behind the product: “Indian classrooms have waited long enough for an interactive board that improves the multi-tasking abilities of teachers. RP05 does this by preventing any slowdowns as it has the lowest power consumption in this segment. Teachers, then, can focus on the most important activity in a classroom: teaching.”

Hardware, health, and connectivity

On the hardware side, the RP05 packs:

Health and safety credentials include Eyesafe 3.0 blue light certification, RPF 60 and CPF 50 panel filter ratings, TUV and SIAA germ-resistant certification, and an integrated air quality sensor that monitors CO2, PM2.5, and TVOC levels in real time.
