OPPO has confirmed its flagship Find X9 series will launch in India shortly after the phones debuted in China yesterday. Just like last year, the brand has introduced the standard OPPO Find X9 and the larger OPPO Find X9 Pro variant first. More models could follow in the series, just like the OEM launched the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and the compact Find X8s later for the previous series. The series is confirmed to launch globally at an event in Barcelona on October 28th. In India, OPPO could introduce the Find X9 series in mid-November 2025, aligning with other global markets.
The OPPO Find X9 series has a renewed design, and it reminds us of the devices’ OnePlus cousin, the OnePlus 15. Just like how OnePlus 15 ditched the circular camera module to opt for a left-aligned squircle island, the OPPO Find X9 models seem to have done precisely that. While the OnePlus 15 has two sensors in a pill on the extreme left with a lone one aligned to the side with the LED flash, the Find X9 series does the opposite. The pill is towards the right of the island with the flash and the Hasselblad branding below it, while OnePlus has ditched Hasselblad. Find X9 is offered in two colour options: Titanium Grey and Space Black. The Find X9 Pro arrives in two finishes, Silk White and Titanium Charcoal. All models feature a refined matte glass finish and matte aluminum frame that enhances both aesthetics and grip.
Both the OPPO Find X9 and X9 Pro run MediaTek’s new 3nm Dimensity 9500 chipset, built to improve processing efficiency and AI performance. According to OPPO, the CPU is 32 percent faster and 55 percent more power-efficient than before. The neural processing units are a whopping 111 percent faster than the previous Find X8 generation.
The vanilla OPPO Find X9 features a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, capable of up to 3,600 nits peak brightness. The larger Find X9 Pro offers a 6.78-inch 120Hz panel with similar brightness levels. Both models now use ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, replacing the optical readers from the Find X8 series.
A major development this generation lies in the batteries. The Find X9 houses a 7,025mAh cell, which is about 1,395mAh larger than the Find X8, while the Find X9 Pro carries a 7,500mAh battery, up 1,590mAh from last year. Fast charging remains consistent, with 80W wired and 50W wireless support for the Find X9, and 90W wired for the Pro. OPPO claims the batteries will retain at least 80 percent health after five years of use.
On the imaging front, the Find X9 Pro leads with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary camera paired with an f/1.5 lens and OIS, alongside a 200MP Hasselblad-tuned periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. The standard Find X9 features the 50MP LYT-808 sensor from the previous Pro model and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Both phones can record Dolby Vision videos at up to 4K 120fps. A dedicated teleconverter accessory for the X9 Pro also enables up to 10x optical and 200x digital zoom for photos, but we’re not sure if this kit will make it to India. ColorOS 16 brings AI-powered tools like Portrait Glow, AI Recorder, and AI Mind Space.
Both devices come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. They run on the latest ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, offering five years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, with integration for Google’s Gemini AI and support for Apple Watch pairing.
The Find X9 starts at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs 54,000), while the Pro begins at CNY 5,299 (around Rs 65,000).
