This is the only Netflix movie to have both Barbie's friends and family play very minor roles, unlike the other movies, where at least one of them plays a major role.
This is the only Netflix movie to not have the involvement of Ann Austen and/or Conrad Helten.
The tie in merchandise for the movie has Teresa and Daisy wear new outfits. This implies that might have had a bigger role in the movie, but they ultimately just make two cameos. They do get bigger roles for tie in shorts though.
