The day after the Ombis crew wrapped on an intersection in Angola New York. which is featured in the film during in epic battle between the hero character Mark and the alien bounty hunter Nemesis the crew left huge amounts of fake blood on the street and the following day showed up to scrub the village's intersection. The crew was a four man team and took approximately four and half hours to clean.
In an exterior scene of the film the cast/crew shot a night scene which is to play a summer night when it began to rain, turning into snow. The cast wore short sleeve shirts and tank tops, while the crew was dressed in gloves, thermals, heavy coats and scarfs.
The final fight of the film actor Richard Winiatowski [Nemesis] was injured when one of the non fake props struck him on the head. Lucky, Richard Winiatowski [Nemesis] was wearing a head peristaltic which was thick enough to absorb most of the hit. The director Adam R Steigert did yell cut and Richard Winiatowski [Nemesis] was check out by two on set medics. There was also a fifteen minute break to make sure Richard Winiatowski had no issues with his neck.
The original version of the script featured a Steel Planet as part of the villages history. However after a walk through that writer/ director Adam R Steigert and location manager/ writer Janeen Avery had with the grain solos they were instantly sold and made a rewrite to the original draft of Ombis.
Story takes place in the same fictional village all DefTone films are set in "Metzburgh" Originally from first version of Gore.
