STORY AND RATINGS
Story
Through My Window, the Spanish young adult romance movie that is based on the book by Ariana Godoy, has a sequel that improves upon the first one. The superfluous titillation from the first section is possibly significantly lessened for the second, allowing for further investigation of the complex (we get it: teens = raging hormones = sex). Marçal Forés explores the complex dynamics of first love, friendship, and desire in more detail. New men and women are introduced to her core cast, who are still quite well-rounded. The precocious Raquel, played by Clara Galle, keeps wowing the audience, while Ares, played by Julio Pea, falls flat. He consistently wears the same stock face of light sorrow. Through My Window: Across the Sea exceeds its predecessor because to its plethora of fresh personalities and their shattered encounters with love and sex. The movie's unexpected twist and open-ended structure both greatly suit it. It is hoped that Part 3 won't undo all that Parts 1 and 2 have accomplished. Even if the movie has many flaws, it touches on a subject as essential as adolescent love and the mysterious pulls of the human heart.
