iPhone 16 Pro dummy unit compared with iPhone 15 Pro

  • iPhone 16 Pro is expected to sport a 6.3-inch display, which would be bigger than the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 15 Pro.
  • While the slight bump in the display size might not be as profound, it’s surely noticeable from the images shared.

  • The images also reveal the front side of the iPhone 16 Pro but since this is a dummy unit, we don’t get to see how slim the bezels are.
  • For context, Apple is expected to introduce Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology to cut down the bezels on the iPhone 16 series.
  • The volume rocker, the Action Button, and the SIM tray slot are on the left spine.
  • The camera rings on the iPhone 16 Pro appear to have slightly moved to the top compared to the current setup. This is probably due to changes to the hardware.
  • The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to get a new 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. This would be an upgrade over the iPhone 15 Pro’s 12MP ultra-wide sensor.

New ‘Capture’ button on iPhone 16 Pro

We also see the much-anticipated ‘Camera’ or ‘Capture’ button. This is expected to be a mechanical button but with touch sensitivity. The camera button could function as a typical shutter button and even allow you to tweak the zoom levels. This is the first time that iPhones are getting a dedicated button for cameras. It serves as a good indication that Apple might be amping up its camera game to take on the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, and other flagships.

Besides cameras, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to get a more powerful Apple A18 Pro chipset and a larger capacity battery.
