Amazon Prime Lite is here in India, and it’s a cheaper version of the Prime subscription. As the name suggests, it’s more affordable than Prime but that also means lesser benefits. You still do get access to some of the key benefits through Amazon Prime Lite in India. This new membership is available for everyone to apply now after its pilot testing that was started earlier this year.

Amazon Prime Lite is available with only one subscription plan which is priced at Rs 999 annually. In comparison, the annual Amazon Prime membership is priced at Rs 1,499. But there are more subscription plans and these include the monthly membership plan priced at Rs 299, and the quarterly plan for Rs 599.

  • With Prime Lite you get free two-day delivery and standard delivery with no minimum offer. It also offers free no-rush shipping to eligible addresses, and a cashback of Rs 25. There’s also the option of morning delivery but at Rs 175 per item. Amazon Prime has all of this in addition to one-day, same-day and scheduled delivery. Morning delivery is also available at Rs 50 per item.
  • Prime Lite members get access to all the Prime Video content in HD quality, and you can watch it on two devices. But one major difference here is that ads are included unlike Prime members who can watch without ads. 
  • Prime Lite and Prime members both have early access to lightning deals, exclusive lightning deals and deals of the day. 
  • Rest of the benefits that Prime Lite doesn’t offer are access to Amazon Music, Prime Reading catalogue, no cost EMI options for smartphones and free screen replacement for six months, Amazon Family offers, and in-game content.
