How to apply for learner’s driving licence online in Delhi

A learner’s licence is a temporary licence issued for learning to drive a motor vehicle and is valid for up to six months from the date of issuance. You must have completed 16 years of age for obtaining a learner’s licence for driving a motorcycle without gear and with less than 50 cc engine capacity. It is also important to obtain the consent of the parent/guardian. For getting a learner’s license for driving a motor vehicle other than a transport vehicle, you must have completed 18 years on the date of application.

Things become simple if you have an Aadhaar card as KYC (Know Your Customer). It allows you to complete your verification through OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number.   • Then click on ‘Apply for Driving Licence’ and thereafter, ‘Continue’.
  • Enter your learner’s licence number and date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY). Please note that if your learner’s licence number contains space, do enter space, or else, you will get an error.
  • Click OK, and you will be directed to a new page.
  • Fill in the details in the application form.
  • Upload documents, photos, and signature, if required.
  • Select the DL test slot booking.
  • Pay the fees, verify the payment status, and print the receipt.

After you have applied for a driving licence online in Delhi, you need to go to the selected center to take the driving test on the requisite date.
