On September 1, 2023, 91mobiles hosted Tech Day in association with MediaTek. The event was a tech enthusiast’s dream where they interacted with peers and thought-leaders in the field while also getting a chance to interact with some of the coolest high-tech gadgets currently available. Attendees also got a chance to learn more about MediaTek products and how a diverse portfolio of devices are powered by the company’s processors. Aside from this, attendees would also get a chance to win awesome goodies by participating in pop quizzes as well as a Call of Duty Mobile gaming tournament.
The numbers speak for themselves
To say that the 91mobiles Tech Day in association with MediaTek was a success would be an understatement. The event was attended by over 300 gadget enthusiasts over the course of the day. All had the pleasure of interacting with the plethora of gadgets that were showcased. This includes over 50 MediaTek-powered smartphones, laptops and Smart TVs. They could also check out a number of other products such as desktops, monitors, and over 20 high-end laptops.
Social media was also abuzz. The event generated about 100 social media posts with a total combined reach of over 8,000,000! Clearly, the event made quite a splash on multiple social media platforms.
MediaTek at the forefront
MediaTek was obviously front and center during the 91mobiles Tech Day. As mentioned earlier, there were over 50 MediaTek-powered smartphones, laptops and TVs showcased during the event. This included the brand-new iQOO Z7 Pro 5G smartphone. This MediaTek Dimensity 7200-powered smartphone was launched just a day before the event, giving the attendees a chance to experience it first-hand.
All who experienced the smartphone were wowed by the awesome 3D Curved Super-Vision display that gives the device a premium look and feel! This excitement continued when they used the smartphone and experienced the smoothness of the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G smartphone. Visually speaking, this smoothness was made possible partly thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate of the screen. But a lot of it was made possible by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC that runs the show!
But that’s not all. Participants were also invited to a chat session featuring Anku Jain, Managing Director for MediaTek and Anuj Sidharth, Deputy Director – Marketing and Corporate Communications for MediaTek. Both were joined by Nipun Marya – CEO, iQOO India. We got a deeper insight into the new iQOO Z7 Pro and why the company chose a MediaTek chipset to power its new smartphone. We also got a sneak peek into MediaTek’s R&D in India, its gaming-centric technologies, and what the future holds for the company including a sneak peek into MediaTek’s partnership with Meta’s Llama 2 to enhance on-device generative AI.
Goodies galore
All of the participants also had the opportunity to win awesome MediaTek-powered devices. Prizes worth a total of over Rs 3,00,000 were up for grabs! This included iQOO Neo 7 5G powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 and Alexa-powered smart speakers. So one can imagine the excitement in the air during Tech Day. Prizes were given out for the MediaTek pop quiz where all participants were given the chance to answer questions about MediaTek and iQOO to win a prize.
Then there was the Call of Duty Mobile gaming tournament that saw over 200 participants battle their way to the Finals. Those who qualified were divided into two teams and had to battle each other for the grand prize! After a tense and close battle, the winning team was awarded their implement of victory, the iQOO Neo 7 5G powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200!
The 91mobiles Tech Day in association with MediaTek was nothing short of a resounding success. With over 300 enthusiastic attendees exploring a wide array of MediaTek-powered devices, a strong online presence generating millions of impressions, and insightful discussions with industry leaders, the event truly showcased MediaTek’s prominent role in shaping our tech-driven world. Not to mention, the excitement was palpable as participants competed for fantastic prizes, making it a memorable day for all involved.
