Google Pixel 10a Flipkart availability confirmed ahead of India launch
Google is launching the Pixel 10a globally very soon, with pre-orders starting on February 18th. The mid-range Pixel is set to launch in India as well, and Flipkart has now confirmed the phone’s availability. In addition to the Google online store, the Pixel 10a will also be available for pre-order on Flipkart. A new microsite has gone live on Flipkart with teasers of the Pixel 10a showing its design and in the same blue colour as seen already.
While most hardware details are still under wraps, the early teasers and leaks offer a fairly clear picture of what buyers can expect from the next Pixel “a”-series device. From the visuals shared so far, the Pixel 10a seems to carry forward the same design language as its predecessor, the Google Pixel 9a. The handset appears with a flat metal frame and a dual rear camera setup housed inside Google’s signature pill-shaped camera island. The power and volume buttons sit on the right edge, while the front is expected to feature a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. This time, the camera island appears to sit even more flush with the rear panel, giving the design a cleaner and more seamless look.

The teased unit has been shown in blue, and leaked renders suggest additional colour options. These are Obsidian (black), a Google staple, and Lavender (the blue colour), which has been officially revealed by Google and looks like a darker shade of the Pixel 9a’s Iris shade. Then there’s Fog, which appears to be a light green colour for the Pixel 10a, replacing the Porcelain shade from the previous lineup. Google might also add a bright option in the name of ‘Berry’, which looks like a dark-bright pink, even slightly orange.
Google typically uses colour to differentiate its mid-range lineup, so these shades are most likely arriving with the Pixel 10a.
As for specifications, leaks point to a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness around 2,000 nits. This would make the Pixel 10a a new compact option in the market. Under the hood, the phone is tipped to run on Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, the same as the Pixel 9a. While this sounds disappointing, there could be optimisations to improve the overall performance. This could be paired with a 5,100mAh battery on the Pixel 10a. The battery capacity hasn’t increased from the Pixel 9a, but the charging speed could be increased.
For cameras, reports suggest a 48MP primary sensor alongside a 13MP ultra-wide, with a 13MP front shooter. The setup might seem simple, but it’s what Google usually goes for as it leans more on software processing and AI features rather than chasing megapixel counts alone.
With only a week to go for the Pixel 10a pre-orders, many buyers would be wondering whether to go ahead with the device or not. Since we don’t know the official specifications yet, it would be wise to wait. But based on early expectations, the Pixel 10a can be recommended for those who prioritise camera consistency, timely Android updates, and Pixel-exclusive AI features, especially if Google manages to keep pricing competitive in India. On the other hand, buyers who value raw performance, ultra-fast charging, or feature-heavy hardware may still find better value among existing mid-range options already available.
Google’s advantage traditionally comes from its clean Android experience, long software support, and computational photography. However, rivals often counter with faster charging, bigger batteries, and more aggressive hardware specs on paper. But with growing dependence on AI in smartphones, the Pixel 10a could still have an edge over rivals.
