Google this week released the April security patch for its Pixel smartphones. The update comes just two weeks after the last Pixel feature drop. This month’s update might not be as feature-rich as the March feature drop, but it does bring fixes for some commonly faced issues. The April patch fixes a few issues related to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, while other fixes are intended for every Pixel smartphone running Android 12. The build number for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is SP2A.220405.004, and for other supported Pixel smartphones, it is SP2A.220405.003. Here is the complete changelog for the April Pixel update.

Google’s April patch fixes the issue with Pixel 6’s wireless charging functionality where users have been reporting problems while charging Pixel 6 using third party Qi wireless chargers. The update promises to improve the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro’s wireless charging performance. Further, the update also brings two camera fixes for the Pixel 6 duo.

The other user interface fixes are rolling out to every supported Pixel smartphone, fixing the UI crash while using picture in picture, getting an error while setting up a live wallpaper, and app drawer animations issues, among others.
