Google Pixel Tablet officially teased by Google

With the Google Pixel Tablet, Google will finally return to the tablet market after a 4-year break. The last Google tablet was the Pixel Slate, that the brand unveiled back in 2018. The Google Pixel Tablet appears to be part of a renewed push by Google towards modern-generation Android tablets. The brand appears to be taking the tablet ecosystem pretty seriously lately, and it made sense for Google to have a tablet of its own.

As for the specifications of the Google Pixel Tablet are concerned, little is known about it for now, save for the fact that it will be powered by the brand’s in-house custom Tensor chipset (although, we are not sure whether the Google Pixel Tablet will make use of the pilot Tensor iteration or the next-gen Tensor chipset).

The design of the Google Pixel Tablet, was showcased in all its glory during the Google I/O 2022. The front of the tablet appears to be a tad underwhelming at best, as it appears to have large bezels wrapping around the display. The tablet appears to be landscape-mode dominant, given the position of its front and the rear camera.

Google has also confirmed that the Google Pixel Tablet will act as a phone companion, which should not come as a surprise to any, as the brand has been focusing heavily on a seamless ecosystem across devices. As for the pricing, the Google Pixel Tablet is surely going to be a premium offering and will compete with the likes of the Apple and Samsung flagship tablets.
