The Google I/O 2024 conference is set to happen in May. Besides Android 15 and new software improvements, the Google Pixel 8a is also expected to make an appearance on the stage. While we’ve already seen high-quality renders of the Pixel 8a that give us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the design, the leaks haven’t stopped. We now have real-life images of the Google Pixel 8a, courtesy of TechDroider on X (formerly Twitter).

- The images reiterate previous leaks of Pixel 8a adapting rounded design language introduced with the Pixel 8 series.
- One key difference is the matte finish on the back panel, compared to a glossy finish on the Pixel 7a.
- The display shows significant bezels around the screen, slightly more than the standard Pixel 8 series.
- We see the volume rocker and power button on the right edge and the buttons look tactile.
- Moving to the back, you see the familiar horizontal strap protruding above the back panel. This houses dual cameras and an LED flash.

- The Google Pixel 8a is tipped to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a first in the Pixel A-series.
- The handset is believed to be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset, similar to the Pixel 8 series but slightly underclocked.
- The handset is tipped to come in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB storage.
- The Google Pixel 8a is likely to run on Android 14 out-of-the-box.

The Google Pixel 8a is tipped to debut in May, at the Google I/O 2024 event on May 14th. The handset is expected to be priced between $500 and $550, which makes it slightly costlier than previous Pixel A-series models.
