“Helio G90 octa-core chipsets use ARM Cortex-A76, and Cortex-A55’s paired with the ARM MaliG76 3EEMC4 with speeds of up to 800MHz”

MediaTek Helio G90 series chipsets, which include the Helio G90 and G90T, has been announced. The chipsets are exclusively designed for gaming smartphones and are paired with MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology for an improved gaming experience. The Helio G90 octa-core chipsets use ARM Cortex-A76, and Cortex-A55’s paired with the ARM MaliG76 3EEMC4 with speeds of up to 800MHz. MediaTek says that the combination of CPU, GPU and APU delivers up to 1TMACs performance, for peak power and smooth gameplay. MediaTek Helio G90 supports 64MP single camera and multi-camera combinations

MediaTek Helio G90 series comes with support for 10GB LPDDR4x and up to 2133MHz memory. The chipsets supports up to 64MP single camera and multi-camera combinations and use quad pixel technology for a dedicated night mode. They also incorporate AI facial detection and can also accelerate AI-camera applications. The HyperEngine technology includes Networking engine that optimises the connection between smartphone and cellular network. It allows for a single smartphone antenna to be connected to two Wi-Fi bands or two routers at the same time.

The HyperEngine technology supports call and data concurrency, so when you receive a call, it won’t drop the data connection. The Rapid Response Engine uses touch acceleration to improve in-game action-to-display speeds. Precise timing control delivers an instant action-to-display experience and faster frame rates. The HyperEngine technology offers support for HDR10 standard with 10-bit Color Depth. The Resource Management Engine allocates CPU and GPU resources for optimum performance during gaming sessions.

TL Lee, General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communication business unit, said, “The mobile gaming market is growing, and device makers are looking to give consumers and especially gaming fans the best smartphone game-play experience. That’s why we designed the G90 series. Our combination of hardware and software delivers high performance, unrivalled image quality, uninterrupted connectivity to always stay in the game, and smooth, responsive action even in the most demanding games.”
