Honor 30S reported to come with quad-camera layout, Kirin 820 SoC and 40W charging

Honor's new flagship lineup called the Honor 30-series is said to be unveiled by the end of this month in China. The lineup is expected to see the flagship Honor 30 and a Pro model. Typically, Honor also launches a mid-range version of its flagship smartphone, and this time around it could be called the Honor 30S. GSMArena has provided some exclusive information on the Honor 30S specifications that includes its camera setup, processor and fast charging support.

As per the report, it would appear that the Honor 30S will be sporting a quad-camera array on the back. An earlier leak had pointed out towards a rectangular cut-out in the back panel of the device but it wasn't clear how many cameras it would be housing. The setup seems quite reminiscent of the Honor V30, the brand's current flagship phone. However, it is currently not known what all camera sensors will be employed in the Honor 30S. 

Like the Honor V30, the Honor 30S is also going to be 5G-ready, said the report, thanks to the new Kirin 820 chipset which is Huawei's first mid-range 5G chipset. It could be looking to compete with the Snapdragon 765 and 765G SoCs. Apart from that the report also states that we can expect a 40W fast charging solution on the device.

The renders also show that the Honor 30S could opt-in for a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor like the Honor 20S. Apart from that, there is very little information available on the device although we can infer from the Honor 20S' price that the Honor 30S should quite likely sell at something similar to CNY 1,900 (approx Rs Rs 19,000).

As far as the Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 are concerned we can only guess what the internals will be. If the Honor 20-series is any indication, we can assume that the Honor 30 will be powered by the latest Kirin 990 chipsets with a high likelihood of a punch-hole camera on the front and perhaps also a higher refresh rate panel.
