According to information shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, Madhav Sheth has filed a new trademark for “Honor for Knights”. Another indication is Sheth’s Twitter bio which says, “When is the KNIGHT coming?” All this points out to the direction that Honor India will come back, and it will be headed by Madhav Sheth.

There were rumours earlier about Sheth joining Honor when he announced his exit from Realme in June, there wasn’t any statement from either party. However, this new discovery does add credence to the rumours.

Honor was one of the popular Chinese smartphone brands catering in the budget and mid-range price segment. It offered a range of devices including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and fitness bands. The company, however suffered a major setback after the US government barred Huawei from accessing Google services. It was also reported that Honor is officially exiting the Indian smartphone market but the company later denied it.

Honor continued launching products in India until 2021. But it was mostly smartwatches and tablets like the Honor Watch ES and the Honor Pad 5. The brand’s last smartphone in India was the Honor 9A which was a budget device priced under Rs 10,000. It also launched the MagicBook X14 laptop in India earlier this year. But the brand has more or less disappeared from the limelight in India.
