Update Instagram to latest version

• Open Play Store on your phone

• If there is just tap Update and the latest version of the app will be installed

Re-login

At times you may need to log out from the Instagram app and log in again for new features to show up. Follow these steps for the same:

Switch to professional account

While it doesn’t guarantee getting notes feature, it’s still worth a shot. Here’s how you can switch to a professional account on IG if currently you’re using a personal account:

• Open Instagram
• Tap the profile icon at the bottom and select the 3-line menu
• From here select Settings and privacy
  
• Now scroll down all the way down
• Select Account type and tools from the list
  
• Tap the topmost option, Switch to professional account
  
• Choose and select the appropriate category
  
• Hit Done

This will convert your profile to a professional one and will also bring along additional bonuses such as profile analytics, post scheduler, and more. If you do not get Notes even in professional mode, you can switch back to a personal profile by following the same steps. 

Check Activity status

Checking Activity status is another feature you can try if the notes feature is not yet available for you yet. While it doesn’t have any correlation with notes, you can still give it a try since both features are part of Direct Messages (DM) and could be the reason for the unavailability and other users’ notes not showing up.

To check the Activity status, all you got to do is:

• Open Instagram
• Tap the profile icon at the bottom and select Settings and privacy
  
• Now scroll down all the way down
• Select Messages and story replies from the list

Reinstall Instagram

If Instagram notes do not show up even after going through tons of different methods, you can try and reinstall the app from your phone.

• Simply go to your phone’s homescreen
  
• Locate the Instagram icon
• Now press and hold Instagram until the Uninstall option appears
  
• Select the option and the app will be removed

No, unlike stories, you cannot see the number of viewers or names of profiles who saw your Instagram note. Once a note is posted, it will be available to view for the next 24 hours.

2. How to turn off notes feature on Instagram?

Currently, there is no option to turn off Instagram notes. The alternative to this is to mute the profiles from whom you do not wish to see notes.

3. Is there any character limit on posting notes?

Yes, the character limit of Instagram notes is set at 60 characters. These can only include text and emojis.
