“HP’s new EliteBook models are the world’s first notebooks with noise-cancelling microphones”
HP has launched three new laptops under its EliteBook series. The company’s new offerings include the HP EliteBook 830 G5, EliteBook 840 G5 and EliteBook 850 G5. The brand claims that its new EliteBook models are the world’s first laptops with a ‘world-facing’, noise cancelling microphone. The microphone removes unwanted sounds when in individual mode or enhances for 360-degree voice pick-up when in conference mode.
HP’s new EliteBook laptops sport the HP Premium Collaboration Keyboard, which features built-in keys to easily manage calls. The notebooks also offer HP PhoneWise, which a Windows solution to text and call from the PC across iOS and Android devices. They are powered by up to 8th-gen Intel Core vPro processors. The company claims the new EliteBook laptops offer up to 14 hours of regular usage. The notebooks also get the brand’s fast charging technology to refuel 50 percent of the battery life in just 30 minutes.
The HP EliteBook 830 G5 comes as a replacement to the previous EliteBook 820 G4 with a 13-inch screen in a 12-inch notebook profile. The EliteBook 840 G5 is being touted as the world’s slimmest 14-inch business laptop with an 8th-gen Intel Core processor and discrete graphics. The EliteBook 840 and EliteBook 850 G5 come with AMD RX540 discrete graphics for users who need higher performance for graphics-intensive workloads and collaboration applications.
As for the pricing, the HP EliteBook 830 G5 will be available at the starting price of $1,049. The EliteBook 840 G5 will be released at the starting price of $1,029, while the EliteBook 850 G5 will set you back at $1,039 onwards. All three new EliteBook laptops will be available in the US later this month. HP will be showcasing its new laptops along with a bunch of other products at its booth at this year’s MWC in Barcelona, later this month.
