Huawei Watch GT 2e smartwatch and Sound X wireless speaker have been launched alongside the P40-series. The new Watch GT 2e features a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, abnormal heart rate reminders, and pressure level monitoring. The smartwatch sports a classic round dial design with an integrated strap and concealed crown. As for the Sound X wireless speaker, Huawei has partnered with Devialet and it features the French audio technology company’s patented Speaker Active Matching (SAM) signal-processing. The design of the Huawei Sound X looks awfully similar to the Apple HomePod.
Huawei Watch GT 2e specifications and price
The Huawei Watch GT 2e sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED touch display with (454 X 454) pixels resolution. It is powered by the in-house Kirin A1 chip coupled with 4GB storage for music. The smartwatch boots Huawei LiteOS, connects via Bluetooth 5.1 and is compatible with Android 4.4 and above iOS 9.0 devices. There is 5 ATM water-resistance and GPS supported. It supports up to 15 professional workout modes, including running, walking, hiking, trail running, cycling, swimming and more.
Other Watch GT 2e features include heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, Huawei TruRelax and all-day activity tracking. The smartwatch houses a 455mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 14 days on a single charge. Lastly, sensors onboard include Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer sensor, Ambient light sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Air pressure sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Capacitive sensor. The Huawei GT 2e price is set at EUR 199 (around Rs 16,800) and comes in Graphite Black, Lava Red, Mint Green and Icy White colours. The smartwatch will be available from April.
Huawei Sound X specifications
Huawei Sound X speaker houses six tweeters and dual subwoofers that can produce 360-degree Hi-Res audio and the Huawei Share lets you transfer music wirelessly from any Huawei handset with EMUI 10.1. Handsets can also share audio with the speaker via Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth. It has an integrated Devialet’s Push-Push Acoustic Design, which leverages on the symmetrical dual subwoofers to cancel vibrations and suppresses distortion at any volume levels to achieve up to SPL 93db. The speaker comes with laser-carved touch-sensitive buttons for audio control. The pricing and availability of the Huawei Sound X have not been announced yet.
