iPhone 15 specifications have been tipped again, this time suggesting the camera of the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models getting a much-needed upgrade.
It's worth mentioning that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were launched with a more advanced configuration with a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens.
Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station (via PhoneArena) recently said that the base models of the iPhone 15 series will feature a 48MP camera but with a smaller 1/1.5 inches sensor. While this would be an upgrade from the iPhone 14's 12MP camera with a 1/1.7 inches sensor, the Pro models are likely to retain their competitive edge with larger sensors.
A recent report indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro is likely to have a price increase of up to $100 compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be $100 to $200 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the pricing is expected to remain relatively unchanged for the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.
However, it is important to note that these details are based on speculations and rumours, and the company will reveal the official price of the upcoming iPhone 15 series during the launch.
