Apple iPhone 15 series has a longer battery lifespan

According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple has shared that the iPhone 15 series has a longer lifespan compared to the previous lineup.
Apple initially revealed that the iPhone 15’s battery would retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity after 500 complete charge cycles.
Apple has now updated the information saying that the iPhone 15 can retain 80 percent of its original capacity at 1000 complete charge cycles.
The change in battery cycle lifespan only applies to the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple credits this improvement to “continued updates to battery components and power management systems over the years.”
Apple is investigating earlier models to confirm if the charge cycle counts are correct.
iPhone 15 series users can check their battery’s charge cycle count in the Settings app.

Some factors to consider

It is important to note that Apple’s battery retention applies only under ideal conditions, and a lot of other factors, such as extreme temperatures, charging habits, can contribute to battery degradation.
