Apple launched the iPhone 15 models last week and they are set to go on sale globally, including in India, starting today. While many enthusiastic buyers are expected to line up outside Apple stores everywhere today to be among the first of thousands to get their hands on the newest iPhones, many others will have to wait for several weeks to get their deliveries. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with some big upgrades over their predecessors, getting the Dynamic Island, a higher-resolution 48MP camera, and A16 Bionic chipset from the iPhone 14 Pro models.
The biggest change with the iPhone 15 series as a whole is the switch to the Type-C port from the Lightning port. Prices of the iPhone 15 remain largely unchanged compared to the iPhone 14. The base iPhone 15 with 128GB storage starts from Rs 79,900, much like the launch price of the iPhone 14. That said, India happens to be one of the most expensive markets to buy new iPhones, while the US is among the cheapest.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are the ones that get the absolutely newest of the new features, such as a Titanium build, a new A17 Pro chipset that’s capable of running console-level AAA games, the Action button, and a new 5x telephoto lens. They also get the USB-C port present on the non-Pro models.
With the iPhone 15 series going on sale today, many eager buyers will be lining up outside Apple stores around the world to purchase the new iPhone. Some who have pre-ordered, especially the iPhone 15 Pro Max, will likely have to wait until November for deliveries.
