iQOO 16 to debut in China in the last week of September, colour variants revealed

The iQOO 16 China launch is set for September 29th. Interestingly, buyers who want to experience the phone quickly can purchase it immediately after the launch event. While the company has previously teased the iQOO 16’s design, it has now revealed all the colourways: Chasing Light with shifting light effects, Legend with a light-shade back panel, and Track, a dark grey shade with a matte finish.

iQOO 16 specifications: what we know so far

Beyond bleeding-edge gaming and performance, the company is placing a lot of emphasis on the iQOO 16’s display. It combines a 2K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, making it the first smartphone in the world to do so. While the iQOO 15 also sported a 2K panel, that high resolution makes images and text look sharper, while the 165Hz refresh rate lets the phone push higher frame rates in games. Higher refresh rates also let brands market the phone around bigger numbers, which tend to attract attention in an industry with intense competition.
